Braids To Waves: Get Sarah Gadon’s Cannes Look!

Sarah Gadon captivated on-lookers at the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival last month where she premiered two of her films during the two-week long chic festival.

Though Sarah seems to prefer classically glam looks to heavy embellishments and sexy, trendy cutouts, her makeup and hairstyles tell a different story. I like the way Sarah mixes youthful ‘dos with her retro dresses and the best part of it, is that these styles are very easy to replicate!

Hairstylist Marcus Francis helped Sarah get ready for her close-up at the press events for the films “Antiviral” and “Cosmopolis”, and shared his tips with The Fashion Court on how you can recreate two of her stylish on-trend looks. | continue reading..

Tom Sturridge was ever the supportive friend when he joined Kristen Stewart at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival premiere of Robert Pattinson’s movie “Cosmopolis” this past Friday.

Rob had attended Kristen and Tom’s premiere for “On The Road” earlier in the week.

Tom posed with Kristen — in the rain — wearing a black Fall 2012 Yves Saint Laurent tuxedo with peaked leather lapels, a white dress shirt and a black bow tie. It seems YSL might be Tom’s go-to choice for his red carpet looks!

I love the leather elements, it takes the style from classic and gives it a bit of edge pretty instantly. | continue reading..

After celebrating the “Cosmopolis” premiere on Friday night, Emily Hampshire was back on the red carpet the following night when she attended the “Mud” premiere during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival at Palais des Festivals.

The 32-year-old actress stepped out in a blush gown from the Spring 2012 collection by Zuhair Murad, with a corseted bodice and crème lace detailing at both sides of her waist.

While I’m not a big fan of the lace elements, the color is very pretty. I just wish she had worn her hair out in tumbling waves down her back instead of a side braided ponytail.

Emily finished off her look with small diamond earrings and a matching necklace.

Emily Hampshire joined her “Cosmopolis” costars and crew on Friday night for the red hot premiere of the film, which was held during the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival in France.

The Canadian actress looked super chic in a long-sleeve black gown by Stella McCartney with a draped, fully open, plunging back. This dress comes from McCartney’s Spring 2012 collection.

Emily looked beautiful! I like her elegant up ‘do, which kept the back view of the dress totally on display without distraction. | continue reading..

There’s no doubt that Diane Kruger was exquisite last night in her haute couture ball gownat the Closing Ceremony of the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, but even she couldn’t stay in something so voluminous all night.

The 35-year-old actress slipped into a dress that much more moveable when she attended the Winner’s Dinner with her boyfriend Joshua Jackson.

Diane arrived to the fête in a two-toned, long-sleeve silk gown from the Fall 2012 collection by Jenny Packham. The top portion of the dress featured white stripes made up of white polka dots; black took over at the jewel-embellished cuffs and the drop-waist skirt, which included the same stripe pattern but with black dot embellishing. | continue reading..

Natasha Poly in Roberto Cavalli | “Cosmopolis” Premiere – 2012 Cannes Film Festival

Oh, another post on Natasha Poly? Of course.

Obviously when you think of attending the premiere of the dangerous and sexy film “Cosmopolis” — you see red.

Natasha Poly stepped out on the scarlet carpet at Palais des Festivals on Friday night for the Cannes Film Festival premiere of the David Cronenberg-directed movie wearing a high risk gown by Roberto Cavalli.

The 26-year-old model bared some skin in this crimson silk gown with a plunging bodice, cutouts at the waist, an open strappy back and a floaty maxi skirt with a super high slit.

If anyone can pull this off, it’s Natasha, but it was just way too much going on up top.

While she may have played up her eyes pretty heavy at a premiere on Wednesday, she toned it down this time around and focused on her pout, which was lathered in a glossy cherry red shade.

Natasha finished off her look with a swept back, loose mane and gorgeous diamond, citrine and peridot intricate earrings.

What did you think of Natasha’s practically exposing dress?

Natasha Poly took the red carpet by storm when she attended the premiere of “Holy Motors” this past Wednesday during the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival.

The 26-year-old model strut her statuesque figure in a strapless black gown, with a v-neck mesh inset, leather belt at the waist and long train, by designer Peter Dundas for Emilio Pucci.

It was sexy. It was glamorous. It was perfect for Natasha.

More than the dress, I liked how she wore her hair in a unkempt fishtail braid with several stray locks. Oh, and can we talk about her eyes?! Natasha was rocking some intense smokey eyes with a yellow-gold shadow at the inner lids.

She was a knock out!

German actress Alexandra Maria Lara joined her husband Sam Riley for the 2012 Cannes Film Festival premiere of his film “On The Road” this past Wednesday.

The always beautiful Diane Kruger could have stopped traffic tonight when she attended the premiere of “Therese Desqueyroux”, which doubled as the Closing Ceremony of the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival.

As a jury member of the festival, Diane’s appearance was anticipated — as was the fact of her wearing haute couture. I couldn’t imagine her final Cannes moment being in anything other than a couture or custom-made look.

The 35-year-old actress selected a grey and white plaid, sleeveless ball gown from the Christian Dior Spring 2012 collection that featured scattered black lace embroidery over the bodice and full skirt. | continue reading..

Kylie Minogue looked divine in a light blue silk gown tonight when she attended the “Therese Desqueyroux” premiere, which also served as the Closing Ceremony of the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival.

Despite the fair amount of rain that fell over the red carpet, Kylie was beaming as she greeted fans and photographers at Palais des Festivals in her beautiful embroidered Roberto Cavalli gown.

With a slightly plunging neckline, crisscross elements tightly formed around her waistline that had crystal embroidery. Smattering of the sparkling gems also appeared at her bust and the straps. | continue reading..
