Taylor Lautner in Dolce & Gabbana | “Abduction” Paris Premiere

Taylor Lautner in Dolce & Gabbana | 'Abduction' Paris Premiere

Taylor Lautner attended the premiere of his action flick “Abduction” tonight in Paris with his-co-star Lily Collins at the Gaumont Marignan Theater. Taylor was all smiles wearing a two-button grey suit by Dolce & Gabbana. Taylor paired his suit with a violet checked shirt, a matching silk-satin tie, and leather dress shoes.

There’s nothing actually wrong with his look, I just really would like for him to take more chances fashion-wise. I thought he was on the rise recently when he went sans tie, but I should have known that his look at the London premiere would be a short lived moment. On the upside — I love the color of his tie.

Taylor still has some more international press left to do for “Abduction” (such as a premiere in Madrid!) before he begins promoting “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1”.

Two premieres, two very different dresses, one designer.

Lily Collins continued on with the promotion trail for her movie “Abduction” with co-star Taylor Lautner when they premiered the film in Paris (it’s called “Secret Identity” there!). Taylor and Lily went back to their fashion comfort-zone for this appearance, he brought back the salesman tie and she went for vintage housewife cocktail chic.

Lily wore a 1950’s inspired navy blue organza cocktail dress — from the Fall 2007 haute couture collection by Chanel, with a split peplum waist and tuxedo style bodice and point lapel halter neck. Black sequin embellishments are embroidered from the bodice to the lower back of the dress as well as on the trim of the dress. A sequined bow sits at the center of the bodice with two others on each side of the peplum waist.

While the dress itself is an interesting choice, I felt like it was “too old” for Lily and she appeared as if she were wearing a costume. Was it raining in Paris or was she going for a ‘wet look’ up-‘do? | continue reading..

Taylor Lautner in Dolce & Gabbana | “Abduction” London Premiere

Premiere, Red Carpet | Monday, September 26, 2011

Tonight was the UK premiere of “Abduction”, and while it pretty much poured on the red carpet, Taylor Lautner braved the weather — along with his costar Lily Collins — and met with awaiting fans and posed on the outdoor red carpet in a Dolce & Gabbana suit. Taylor wore a white v-neck t-shirt under his one-button and slim peak lapel black suit from the pre-fall men’s collection that he paired with black leather shoes.

I really like his style for him since he normally looks like he’s trying to sell me car insurance on the red carpet. I’m a bit over him wearing ties and I’m fully embracing this bare neck, young, and casual approach he’s got going on.

I hope he doesn’t have too much international promotion left for this film as he’s going to be very busy for the next two months heavily promoting “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1”.

Lily Collins in Versace | 'Abduction' London Premiere

A little rain didn’t stop Lily Collins from showing off her Versace dress at the UK premiere of her movie “Abduction” today. The black cocktail dress, from the resort 2012 collection, features a leather paneled bodice with gold grommet details and a self fold skirt.

I love the dress and the fact that she paired it with a matching black and gold Alexander McQueen ‘Punk Skull’ glossed-leather box clutch. This is a pretty sexy look and Lily has always strikes me as this classic wholesome girl, so I feel like this is a big departure for her — especially after the LA premiere earlier this month. | continue reading..

Channeling Audrey Hepburn much? Lily Collins arrived at the Los Angeles premiere of her new action movie “Abduction” looking like a little vintage porcelain doll in a light silver Marc Jacobs FW11 dress with black leaf embroidery and a lady-like peplum.

I love the fit of the dress on Lily’s body, and while the draping double strap off her shoulders is a good idea, it would have been better if they were smooth instead of wrinkling a bit. A little black headband was added to Lilly’s hair which was styled in a nearly gathered and twisted bun that was seriously giving me Audrey vibes. | continue reading..
