MY VERDICT: Taissa, sister of actress Vera Fargmia, kept it classic at the photocall of her new movie “The Bling Ring” at the Cannes Film Festival. The 18-year-old actress met up with her costars and director wearing a pretty Fall 2013 white long sleeve tier skirt dress by Alberta Ferretti that was adorned with a sweet black ribbon belt that matched her open toe pumps.

Isla Fisher wore black pumps with her white dress yesterday for a photocall, but it didn’t work for her as well as it did for Taissa because there wasn’t another part of her outfit for the black pumps to compliment. I like the way Taissa structured this look.

She finished off with soft makeup and loose waves that were partially pinned up.

WHERE & WHEN: “Star Trek Into Darkness” Hollywood premiere on May 14, 2013.

MY VERDICT: Kate Beckinsale added a pop of neon color to her all-black ensemble when she attended the Hollywood premiere of “Star Trek Into Darkness”. The 39-year-old actress hit the silver carpet in a simple-yet-elegant Alberta Ferretti black strapless high low cocktail dress, from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection. Kate also wore a beautiful gown by the designer last week for the annual MET Gala but, despite the bold color of the previous look, I actually prefer the fit and style of the LBD on her–especially when you throw these shoes into the mix!

The actress rocked a pair of strappy black “Myth” sandals by Jimmy Choo with a winding strap of fluorescent yellow.

Kate wore her long hair up in a low twisted knot with a few straying tendrils before completing the look with cool IritDesign silver diamonds chain statement earrings and charcoal smoke lined eyes.

WHERE & WHEN: 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala – PUNK: Chaos to Couture on May 6, 2013.

MY VERDICT: Black was the obvious dress color choice for the punk themed MET Ball this year, but Kate Beckinsale opted for red to switch things up a little bit. The 39-year-old actress hit the scarlet carpet for the annual fashion soirée wearing a custom red strapless asymmetrical dress by Alberta Ferretti. I liked the angled drama of the hem and fold over detail at Kate’s waist.

She wore her long hair up in her favorite high-volume ponytail style; it’s something we see from her often, but the ‘do was needed as it showed off Kate’s electric diamond triple arrow statement earrings by Lorraine Schwartz–she also wore a ring to match! Sharp lined smoky eyes, a black Edie Parker “Jean” black box clutch and matching strappy Giuseppe Zanotti completed her look.

There were some rock ‘n roll elements here—zero punk. To be fair, I wouldn’t have expected her to wear a costume either.

WHO: Julianne Hough
WHERE & WHEN: “Safe Haven” Hollywood premiere on February 5, 2013.

MY VERDICT: It was a big night for Julianne, who shimmered her way down the red carpet for the premiere of her new movie “Safe Haven” in this gleaming Alberta Ferretti Spring 2013 gown.  The 24-year-old actress selected the light grey soft metallic sleeveless design, which features a beautiful lace bodice with beaded embroidery throughout.  Surprisingly, my favorite part of this dress is not the heavily embellished front, but the sculpted scattered lace illusion back.  Julianne gave her short blonde bob-cut locks some glamorous bounce with a swept back ‘do that featured an assortment of curls gathered in the back.  With such a busy dress, I’m glad that she left her makeup light and finished with a complimenting crystal Judith Leiber clutch.

WHERE & WHEN: 85th Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon on February 4, 2013.
WEARING: Alberta Ferretti

MY VERDICT: You can always count on Sally Field to make a graceful, beautiful appearance on the red carpet—and she did just that today at the Oscar nominees luncheon.  The “Lincoln” star wore a lovely Alberta Ferretti white lace short sleeve dress with black floral leaf silhouette embroidery that stretched from the bodice to the shoulders and hip.

I’m pretty glad that, although this dress comes straight from the Spring 2013 runway, the heavier embellishing at the neckline and short sleeves were reduced for Sally.  Those elements would have come off a bit too distracting for her.  With all that space freed up, she was able to accessorize with a classic pair of beautiful pearls before finishing off with a metallic clutch and black pumps.

WHERE & WHEN: “Warm Bodies” New York City screening on January 25, 2013.
WEARING: Alberta Ferretti dress, Rupert Sanderson shoes

MY VERDICT: Analeigh celebrated the special New York screening of her new zombie comedy last night looking beautiful and sophisticated in a  long sleeve chiffon and lace grey dress by Alberta Ferretti with a gorgeous beaded black collar that complimented the ribbon belt at her waist.  This dress is from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection, and with everyone jumping at the chance for 2013 advance looks, I was happy to see Analeigh give a little spotlight to what’s now considered a lovely design from an “older” collection.  She focused on the dress by accessorized nicely with a black clutch and patent “Elba” pumps by Rupert Sanderson.  A wispy up-do and light makeup were pretty finishing touches. | continue reading..

Antonia Campbell-Hughes looked extremely delicate on the red carpet tonight when she attended the UK premiere of Tim Burton’s “Frankenweenie 3D”, held during the 56th BFI London Film Festival.

The Irish actress is currently working on a film where she plays a captive woman, based on real-life events, and had to lose a significant amount of weight for the role. Viola Davis was beautiful in blue when she stepped out on the red Ziegfeld Theater carpet on Monday to celebrate the premiere of her new movie “Won’t Back Down”, which is due in theaters nationwide tomorrow!

The 47-year-old Oscar-nominated actress wore a stunning shade of the oceanic color with a wide v-neck, short sleeve silk gown by Alberta Ferretti. Viola was giving us minimalist chic, but not without a little bit of striking detail.

Eva Longoria hit the NCLR ALMA Awards stage at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sunday night where she wore 10 different dresses! The 37-year-old began the night wearing Monique Lhuillier on the red carpet and ended it with a strapless Alberta Ferretti, but during the show, we were treated to an array of designs from bead-embellished to bright color and sleek cuts.

With each dress came a different hairstyle and pair of heels, but one thing that stayed the same would be her choice of jewelry. Eva wore a gorgeous pair of Martin Katz Fine Jewelry 2.55 kt Asscher cut diamond stud earrings, set in 18 kt gold and microset with 242 diamonds, throughout the night.
