Alexa Chung was among the star-studded guest list at Donatella Versace’s private dinner to celebrate the Versace SoHo store opening on Wednesday night in New York City, where she wore a full look from the Versus Fall 2012 collection.

The 28-year-old was spotted arriving at The Waldorf Towers wearing an oxblood turtleneck long-sleeve thin knit sweater and matching zipped leather mini skirt, which she paired with comfortable suede ornate flat shoes.

It would have been cute if she had worn the cardigan seen on the runway as well.

Alexa styled her brunette tresses in natural waves before finishing off her effortless look with minimal make-up, barely any jewelry at all and a dark red circle shoulder bag.

Alexa Chung hit the black carpet last night to help celebrate the 80th birthday of the Chanel‘s “Bijoux de Diamants” collection in New York City; Chanel Fine Jewelry presented 80 new High-Jewelry pieces for the anniversary of the collection, originally created by Gabrielle Chanel in 1932.

The English model and television personality opted for a ivory full skirted dress from the Cruise 2013 collection, which featured three-quarter length sleeves and lovely delicate colorful embellishing at the bodice and cuffs of the sleeves.

There were no frills about the rest of Alexa’s look as she kept the focus on her dress.  She wore her shoulder-length brunette tresses out in a natural wave before finishing off with Chanel Fine Jewelry and a glittering pair of silver cap toe pumps.

With a gorgeous backdrop of grass surrounding pink and red roses, the stars of music, film and fashion all posed before photographers while arriving for the exclusive Chanel Artist Dinner on Wednesday night; held in honor of the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival Artist Awards Program.

The Odeon restaurant in New York City quickly became crawling with beautiful people, such as Karlie Kloss, Liv Tyler, Naomi Watts, Camilla Belle and even Mr. Kanye West (with new girlfriend Kim Kardashian, not pictured), as they paid tribute to year’s Tribeca contributing artists.

“NYC 22″ actress Leelee Sobieski wore this light pink boulcé suit dress from the Spring 2012 collection, with a wide split neckline, short sleeves, a pearl belt and multiple pocket elements. With a smooth up ‘do and dazzling Chanel Fine Jewelry earrings, Leelee finished off with a pair of black and white sandals. A silver or sapphire pair (to match her bauble earrings) would have been a more complimentary look than these heavier heels. | continue reading..

Alexa Chung took over hosting duties for the 2012 ELLE Style Awards on Monday night at the Savoy Hotel in London after returning from New York Fashion Week.

With a wavy brunette mane, the 28-year-old model-turned-television personality wore a cool grey plaid combo suit with black lapels on the jacket and shimmering python color-blocks on the pants. 15. Jennifer Lopez in Gucci
The pink overload that Jennifer Lopez had going on in head-to-toe Gucci at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala this year was just too much for me to look at. She’s fierce, we all know that — and she could definitely work a look from this collection — this just wasn’t her look. I appreciate that you can get away with more at this particular event than you can pretty much anywhere else, but I was really hoping for more from her. In one of my favorite dresses of the night, Alexa Chung accepted the British Style Award tonight at the Savoy hotel for the 2011 British Fashion Awards wearing Christopher Kane!

Alexa gave her svelte frame some shape with this ivory silk satin sleeveless dress with an embroidered net cropped overlay from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection. She’s also carrying the matching clutch.

I love, love, love her “Kitty” pumps from Charlotte Olympia! Just… not with the dress. Although, this take on unique footwear isn’t surprising when it comes to Alexa’s interesting style.  | continue reading..
