WHERE & WHEN: Big Machine Label Group’s CMA Awards 2013 After Party on November 6, 2013.
WEARING: Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet dress, Tory Burch shoes
MY VERDICT: The “Modern Family” star helped celebrate a fan appreciation day for her hit show with the USA Network yesterday wearing a cool (celeb-favorite) jumpsuit. Ariel turned to the Fall/Winter 2013 collection from Alice + Olivia for her “Arrow” jumpsuit; a white notched bustier strapped top connected to high waist black trousers.
Despite the fact that it’s pants–the jumpsuit is pretty evening-ready, so I liked like Ariel paired it with heels. Normally I would have thought a pointe heel to be the best partner for a pant cut like this, but Ariel’s only fifteen and the open toe platform adds a youthful touch. Springy curls, complimenting makeup, and embellished jewelry to match her gold mani provided the finishing touches.
MY VERDICT: How cute was this new take on a summer picnic dress that Emmy wore to the Delta Air Lines Summer Celebration on Thursday night? The “Shameless” star wore a true navy, grey, white and coral plaid Rebecca Minkoff “Clara” bustier tweed dress with faceted jewel detail from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection.
Claire Holt was recently spotted wearing an animal printed abstract version of this dress, but Minkoff’s patterns are so unique that Emmy’s dress actually looks almost totally different. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Marie, who stars on the upcoming CW series “The Hundred” but has spent her summer with Taylor Lautner in NYC shooting their movie “Tracers”, selected a two piece party look for the InStyle Summer Soirée. The 27-year-old actress wore head-to-toe Alice + Olivia; the stained glass pattern “Willa” contrast placket blouse partnered with black front-zipped leather legging, and a matching pair of “Tamara” kid suede cutaway heels. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: I can’t deny that I was a disappointed in what Naya wore to the Teen Choice Awards. The beautiful “Glee” star, who released her new single this week, arrived on the turquoise carpet with, her boyfriend, rapper Big Sean while donned in very little.
Naya wore a Alice + Olivia black leather bustier and matching cropped “Arthur” pants from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Anna promoted her new CBS comedy “Mom” at the press conference panel held during the Summer TCA tour earlier today while donned in a cool monochrome graphic dress and matching heels. The 36-year-old selected a Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet “Monaco” crochet peplum sleeveless dress with a bold black and white zig-zag pattern all over. This fun design comes from Bendet’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection.
There isn’t usually a photocall with this event, so I always like it when the actor is wearing something vivid enough that it pops even while they’re sitting down–and I think Anna nailed it. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: The always adorably chic Holland looked so pretty in jade green when she stepped out for the 39th annual Saturn Awards wearing a 1950s vintage-inspired THEIA taffeta jacquard full skirted party dress, from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Sure this was a little bit of old Hollywood, but I like how she mixed in the ‘new’ with long free-falling waves and a sassy pair of gold laser cut Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet “Dina” pointed toe pumps | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Caroline Sunshine was all smiles on the red carpet as she joined her “Shake It Up” costars Bella Thorne and Zendaya to celebrate the first annual Radio Disney Music Awards. The 17-year-old actress opted for a bold fashion approach by selecting the Alice + Olivia “Sia” peter pan collard placket gown, from the Spring 2013 collection, which features a fun all over orange flower pattern and a white belt sitting at the natural waist.
I won’t deny that the dress aged Caroline a bit, but I think that could have been avoided slightly by styling her long blonde hair into a high ponytail instead of a mature bun. Hoop earrings, the perfect amount of makeup, and a silver clutch completed her look.
