MY VERDICT: It appears as though we can thank “Girls” star Allison Williams for being the girl lady to wow us with something from the brand new Pre-Fall 2013 collection by Gilles Mendel.  She selected the black full gown, which features crystal beaded trim embellishments and a plunging illusion neckline.  I love the way Allison added a tiny pop of color to her dark, dramatic look with coral Lorraine Schwartz statement drop earrings; these stood out due to her tightly swept up hairstyle.  Smoky eyes, peach tinged cheeks and a glossy nude pout completed her look.

In less than 24hrs some of the biggest stars in television and film will walk the red carpet for the 70th Annual Golden Globes Awards in Hollywood, but what will they be wearing?  In comes The Fashion Court: Wish List, with a selection of pretty gowns that I could picture on several of the stars who will be attending. I obviously couldn’t ‘dress’ all of the nominees and presenters, or else this post would take you over an hour to read, but you’ll find eighteen of your favorites below.

Now, I know how these shows work; I imagine a good 50% of the stars will be in custom made dresses, especially some of the stars included in this list. That doesn’t mean I can’t have my fun, of course.

Allison Williams promoted the second season of her hit HBO drama “Girls” yesterday with an appearance on the MuchMusic show “New.Music.Live.” in Toronto, Canada.  The 25-year-old actress wore a sassy strapless ruby red textured mini dress by J. Mendel, which is piped all over in a dark metallic grey; it comes from the Resort 2013 collection by designer Gilles Mendel.

I liked the shiny patent element when it was presented with the lookbook, but judging by these photos of Allison, I feel like it lost that factor on her.  | continue reading..

It’s finally here!! The Target + Neiman Marcus Holiday Collection, complete with special pieces from 24 designers (from Band of Outsiders to Oscar de la Renta!), launched this morning at both shopping outlets and I couldn’t be more excited!

After stepping out for the Gotham Independent Film Awards the previous evening, you’d think Allison Williams might want to stay last night—but no, the “Girls” actress got glam once again for the annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball, which was held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.

While I found her last look to be on the aging side, I see nothing but great things happening with this seafoam lace and silver shimmer sequin-embroidered long sleeved Naeem Khan gown that Allison slipped on for the ball. The sleek Spring 2013 dress is a mesmerizing beauty that complimented Allison in every way that you hope a dress will; she kept warm while showcasing her curves and allowing for her long cascading brunette curls to flow freely without distracting from the design.

Allison completed her look with metallic smoky eyes, a diamond cocktail ring, gold heels and a putty grey lacquered manicure.

Allison Williams kept her look very sweet and feminine last night when she attended IFP’s 22nd Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards wearing head-to-toe Valentino.

The “Girls” actress arrived on the red carpet at New York’s Cipriani Wall Street wearing a nude floor-length dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection with colorful lace embroidery. This high neck and long-sleeved dress features a mix of pink and ivory floral lace along the shoulders and along the border with some black detail added into the design.

Allison Williams rocked some serious cutouts on Tuesday night for the 9th Annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards that she attended as the guest of designer’s Peter Som and  Alejandro Ingelmo.

The “GIRLS” actress wore a wrapped pale pink cocktail dress from the Peter Som Spring 2013 collection with cutouts at the shoulders and center waist. She accessorized with drop arrow earrings and Alejandro Ingelmo strappy sandals, before completing her look with some rock-n-roll inspired smoky eyes and a glossy nude lip. | continue reading..

ALLISON WILLIAMS was the quessential Hollywood glamour girl when she attended the 2012 Emmy Awards in an out-right stunning emerald green Oscar de la Renta gown. She kept from covering up even an inch of the striking folded detail by gathering her long hair up into an elegant up ‘do, courtesy of her hairstylist Ted Gibson.

“I started off on dry hair by creating a roughed up texture. I rubbed Ted Gibson Hairsheet into her hair concentrating on the ends before blow-drying with a smaller round brush so that I can give the hair a slight bend to the hair.
