With an event presented by Gucci, it was a no-brainer that most of the guests at the 2012 LACMA Art + Film Gala on Saturday would be clad in head-to-toe looks from the beloved fashion label. The stars came out to celebrate an evening of creativity while honoring famed artist Ed Ruscha and the late-great director and producer, Mr. Stanley Kubrick.

Amber Heard rocked a black short cocktail dress and matching triple strap peep toe pumps, and while that sounds like a possible boring look on paper–there was nothing ordinary about the whimsical black-and-gold embellished collar, which took Amber’s chic look to another level. She finished off with a twisted up-do and a poppy red lip that matched her nail polish.

Amy Adams wore a beautiful strapless silk yellow gown with a embellished belt. Like with Cameron Diaz–I believe a green, pink or blue dress from the Spring 2013 collection would have been a more flattering color for Amy. For her trip down the red carpet, Posen styled Amber in a mauve version of this satin v-neck mermaid gown that was seen in bright blue during his Fall 2012 runway presentation. Amber Heard was the lady in red last night for the Quest Love Food with Graham Elliot launch party in NYC held at the Mondrian Soho.

The 26-year-old “Syrup” actress wore a strapless, two-tone crimson cocktail dress that was modified from a design seen on the runway for the Fall 2012 collection by Zac Posen.

I love the fit on her, but I don’t like that she that she wore black shoes. A sexy dark red or gold sandal would have been gorgeous. Amber’s black satin open toe pumps are by Christian Louboutin.

Amber completed her look with complimentary make-up, red nails, light jewelry and a tousled mane.

It was a evening of glamor last night at the gala premiere of Jules Massenet’s “Manon” held at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. In a sea of mostly dark ensembles, there were a couple of ladies that stepped out in a vivacious color — along with questionable accessories.

It was a night glitz, glamour, and color last Saturday in Los Angeles as the stars came out to celebrate at the 2012 Art of Elysium Heaven Gala. Guests enjoyed dinner and a fashion show as they honored the charity work of Cameron Silver of Decades Inc.

Odette Annable wore a vibrant bright purple gown by Hervé L. Leroux. I like the sheer detail around the cap-sleeve neckline and the underlining bustier. I wish the skirt traveled down with the length of the skirt rather than being an abrupt mini and leaving the rest sheer. | continue reading..

On December 1st, the always-beautiful Amber Heard hit the red carpet for the opening night screening of her movie “The Rum Diary” in Paradise Island during the 2011 Bahamas International Film Festival.

The 25-year-old actress slipped into a lacy white shift dress from Dolce&Gabbana with a nude silk banded waist. It was simple, but she’s in the Bahamas — it totally works. Thankfully she didn’t cheapen the look with bad accessories.

With light jewelry, wavy hair, and a glossy pink lippe — Amber finished off her look with dark gold slingback studded platform peep toe pumps.

Gorgeous.

That was the first word that came to mind when I saw Amber Heard hit the red carpet on Saturday night at  The Hollywood Palladium for The Trevor Project’s annual Trevor Live! event.

The Trevor Project is a suicide prevention lifeline for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth.

Amber, who came out not too long ago, came out to support the event looking fabulous in a long butter dress from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection by Alessandra Rich.

Belted at the waist with front patch pockets, this design features a paneled back playing peek-a-boo to white Cluny lace lining.

This was her dress, for sure! You couldn’t see her shoes, of course, but for the times she lifted the skirt to walk the carpet, you could catch a glimpse of her nude “Lady Peep” pumps by Christian Louboutin. | continue reading..
