MY VERDICT: For her first public appearance since undergoing a double mastectomy Angelina Jolie stepped out for the World Premiere of her fiance Brad Pitt’s new movie “World Ward Z” in London. The 37-year-old actress looked beautiful in a custom-made black gown by Saint Laurent. The full length silk dress features a delicate pleated bodice with gathering above a sheer inset at the waist. I love the simple elegance of this–and she didn’t fret over detail when it came to the accessories, hair, and makeup either. Angelina completed this effortless look with a soft wavy mane, complimenting makeup, and diamond stud earrings with a matching bracelet.

We’ve gotten through the first week of the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival, but in my eyes, it’s the second round that is most exciting! This week we’ll find Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Robert Pattinson, Kirsten Dunst and Kristen Stewart all on the red carpet for their movie premieres, and I’m beyond eager to see what they’ll wear!
I’ve been asked by readers since March to reveal some of my red carpet dress selections that I’d like to see the stars in at Cannes, so I figured now was as good as time as any. I threw around some ideas with my “jury” of fashion pals to help create this list of favorites for the above mentioned stars.

Angelina Jolie stepped out on the red carpet looking beautiful for the Croatian premiere of “In the Land of Blood and Honey” on Friday night in Zagreb, Croatia.

Finally seeing her in some color again, Ang selected a rust-colored long-sleeve crew-neck gown by J. Mendel with an asymmetric layer traveling to the floor-length hem. Brad Pitt — clad in Gucci — joined the 36-year-old actress at the Cinema MK2 Bibliotheque where she donned a gorgeous single-sleeve winter white column gown by Ralph & Russo that featured a gathered large rosette appliqué at the shoulder. I was getting used to some lighter dresses on Angelina Jolie but the “In The Land of Blood and Honey” director was back in black when she joined Veronica Ferres at the premiere of “The Lady” on Sunday in Berlin, Germany during the 62nd Berlinale International Film Festival.
