WHERE & WHEN: 86th Annual Academy Awards on March 2, 2014.
WEARING: Vera Wang top and skirt, Jimmy Choo shoes, a Anya Hindmarch clutch, and jewelry from Anita Ko, Chanel, Repossi, Jessica McCormack, Bouchon & Solange Azagury-Partridge.
All eyes were on Jennifer when she emerged onto the red carpet at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Hollywood tonight for the premiere of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”, and oh what a sight it was. The 23-year-old made a grand entrance in, perhaps, the most daring gown we’ve ever seen her wear.
Jen selected the mixed dark and light grey knitted, sleeveless sheer crewneck gown from the Dior Haute Couture Fall 2013 runway collection. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: I almost missed this appearance–but, thankfully, didn’t. Shortly before attending the Los Angeles premiere of “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” last Monday, Lily stopped by “Chelsea Lately” to chat about the movie while wearing one of my favorite dresses from the recent Resort 2014 collections.
The 24-year-old opted for her second look from Fausto Puligisi when she donned this black and white asymmetric layered mini dress. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: When I think of the WWE, I don’t think of heavily embroidered cocktail dresses and boho milk braids—but, clearly, Vanessa feels differently. The 24-year-old hit the red carpet for the “SuperStars for Hope” event last night in an elaborate black and gold Temperley London Fall 2013 “Aya Show” long sleeve dress with sheer dotted inserts amongst the detailed motif. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: All eyes were on Lily as she made one of the most bold fashion arrivals on the turquoise carpet for the 2013 Teen Choice Awards tonight. The “Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” star wore a black Houghton silk crop top with cap sleeves partnered with a white and pink skater high-low Fausto Puglisi skirt with all-over black palm tree silhouette prints.
This eye-catching skirt comes from the Resort 2014 collection by the label, which is also the same line that Bella Thorne selected her TCA look from. It was a little bit retro, a little theatrical, and completely unexpected. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Okay, so I’m totally outfit crushing on what Kaley wore to the premiere of “Blue Jasmine”. The 27-year-old actress hit the red carpet in true summer-appropriate style by wearing a Zimmermann Fall 2013 “Precocious Brocade” lilac silk-satin sleeveless top and matching shorts with an all over blue-violet floral pattern.
When it comes to heavily printed two-piece ensembles, I’m usually the first to say “break it up”, but I like that Kaley wore them together as it gave an illusion of a romper. If she had been in pants, I might be singing a different tune. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: One of my favorite jumpsuits made a reappearance on the red carpet last night when Zoe rocked the Summit Entertainment bash at Comic-Con in the asymmetric black one piece.
The “Divergent” star selected this OSMAN by Osman Yousefzada black sleeveless jumpsuit with leather detail from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection. You may remember Saoirse Ronan being a fan of it a few months back. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley supported her beau Jason Statham at the London premiere of his new movie “Hummingbird” this week wearing an itty-bitty white Emilio Pucci dress. The gorgeous 26-year-old model showcased her statuesque figure in the strapless embroidered micro design with a pretty aqua and grey motif pattern at the full front as well as the back, although the latter was broken up with a corseted dotted mesh panel inset. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Katy can make one nervous about trying a crop top this season when she sets the bombshell bar so high! For the second year in a row, the “Wide Awake” singer donned a belly-baring ensemble—and, once again, she rocked it. Katy opted for something from the Herve Leger by Max Azria Pre-Fall 2013 collection; a colorful yellow, blue and orange printed crisscross back bandage top and a matching pencil skirt that’s bordered in black. I appreciate the high-waist cut of the skirt because a crop bra top should not be paired with any bottom that starts below the navel unless you’re going to the gym.
As a true California girl, I dig how Katy played up the retro beach effect–right down to the sculpted jet-black side gathered ‘do. | continue reading..
