Alexandra Daddario in Jay Godfrey | “The Host” Hollywood Premiere

Alexandra Daddario in Jay Godfrey | 'The Host' Hollywood PremierePhotos: Zimbio
WHO: Alexandra Daddario
WHERE & WHEN: “The Host” Hollywood Premiere on March 19, 2013.
WEARINGJay Godfrey dress, Pollini shoes & Marina B jewelry.

MY VERDICT: The adorable Alexandra eased into the still-going-strong crop top trend by playing peek-a-boo with a magenta dress by Jay Godfrey. The 27-year-old actress walked the teal carpet in this Pre-Fall 2013 flirty textured design, which featured a center cutout with structured detail on the mini skirt.  I thought this was such a fun style for her, and I really like that she didn’t go overboard with intense makeup, hair and accessories.  Alexandra kept it all about the pop of color by rocking simple–but sassy–black t-strap Pollini sandals, a “Agostino” ring by Marina B in 18k gold, diamonds and black jade, and long gold earrings.

Simple soft waves and a glossy pink pout topped this look off.

Max Irons in Gucci | “The Host” Hollywood Premiere

WHO: Max Irons
WHERE & WHEN: “The Host” Hollywood Premiere on March 19, 2013.
WEARING: Gucci suit, Christian Louboutin shoes

MY VERDICT: Sometimes staying classic is simply the way to go, and that’s what Max Irons did for the Hollywood premiere of “The Host”. The English actor stepped out on the turquoise carpet wearing a two-button black Gucci suit with a pale button-down shirt and a moody blue-steel grey silk tie. I like the simplicity of this, but I wish you couldn’t see so much of his shirt and tie at the lower button opening. It might just be the pull from his hand being in his pocket, but it’s distracting.

Max gave his hair a finger-twisted style, before finishing off with a nice pair of sleek Christian Louboutin black patent shoes.

WHO: Jake Abel
WHERE & WHEN: “The Host” Hollywood Premiere on March 19, 2013.
WEARING: Dior Homme

MY VERDICT: It was a true blue night for “The Host” star Jake Abel when he hit the oceanic carpet for the Hollywood premiere of his new movie wearing a navy suit. The 25-year-old actor rocked a Dior Homme two-button peak lapel suit, which was properly paired with a light blue cotton button down shirt and a contrasting blue silk pin dot tie. The deep and pale shades worked well together as they brought out Jake’s light eyes and complimented both his complexion and hair color.

This was a good choice for him, and on such a big evening. Jake finished with black calfskin derbies.

Diane Kruger in Thakoon | “The Host” Hollywood Premiere

WHO: Diane Kruger
WHERE & WHEN: “The Host” Hollywood Premiere on March 19, 2013.
WEARING: Thakoon dress, Jimmy Choo shoes, and jewelry from Eddie Borgo & Stephen Webster.

MY VERDICT: Diane continued to make us envy how effortlessly amazing she appears on the red carpet, or in this case–teal, when she arrived for the Hollywood premiere of her new sci-fi thriller “The Host”.  The 36-year-old actress donned a sleeveless black dress from the new Fall 2013 collection by Thakoon, which features sheer paneling down the sides and along the hem of the fit-and-flare skirt that’s embellished with sequin micro flowers that matched the larger embroidery throughout the front and back center panel.  This simple cut and dazzling detail exuded dark and dramatic romance; it looked great on Diane–duh–but, it doesn’t hurt that the dress on its own is a real beauty.

Diane kept her long shiny blonde tresses styled very sleek and parted to the side, behind her ears, as she showed off a sparkling pair of white gold and diamond “Firework” earrings by Stephen Webster| continue reading..

WHO: Saoirse Ronan
WHERE & WHEN: “The Host” Hollywood Premiere on March 19, 2013.
WEARING: Lanvin dress and shoes, and jewelry from EF Collection & J/Hadley.

MY VERDICT: Saoirse looked amazing in a rich shade of garnet when she hit the deep turquoise carpet for the Hollywood premiere of her new movie “The Host”.  The 18-year-old Irish-American actress selected the sleeveless Lanvin cocktail dress from the Spring 2013 collection, which features dazzling beaded embellishments down the sides with black ribbon detail.

I really liked this dress for Saoirse, because not only does it pop against her fair complexion and light blonde hair, but the loose shape very much suits the understated edgy-yet-classic style that I’ve always really enjoyed seeing from her.  | continue reading..

WHO: Phoebe Tonkin
WHERE & WHEN: “Warm Bodies” Hollywood premiere on January 29, 2013.
WEARING: Christopher Kanedress

MY VERDICT:  Phoebe hit the red carpet to support her best friend Teresa Palmer, and her new romantic zombie movie “Warm Bodies”.  The Australian actress added a vibrant contrast to the red-and-white decorative backdrop in a bright blue, navy and silver silk-blend floral brocade dress by Christopher Kane, from the designer’s Spring 2012 collection. The v-neck dress featured spliced detailing and a cutout hemline.   I love the get-up-and-go feel of this look, because it’s so effortless and yet so pretty and well-put together.  Phoebe simply wore her hair out in smooth strands before finishing the look with a silver envelope clutch and complimenting blue ankle strap sandals.  Well done.

WHO: Holland Roden
WHERE & WHEN: “Warm Bodies” Hollywood premiere on January 29, 2013.
WEARING: Alice + Olivia dress, Jerome C. Rousseau shoes & clutch, and jewelry by Le Vian & Carrera y Carrera.

MY VERDICT:  Holland looked like a beautiful little pixie in her white dress and gold accessories at the Hollywood premiere of “Warm Bodies”.  The 24-year-old actress hit the red carpet in the “Gwen” high neck feathered skirt dress from Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet, which features a pretty cap sleeve bodice that’s completely embroidered with delicate beading.

Holland coordinating with the fairytale feel of the look with a gold and white “Jem” pearlized embossed python clutch and matching “Zell” gold mirrored leather platform sandals—both by Jerome C. Rousseau.   | continue reading..

Analeigh Tipton in Barbara Bui | “Warm Bodies” Hollywood Premiere

Analeigh Tipton in Barbara Bui | 'Warm Bodies' LA PremierePhotos: Zimbio; Style.com
WHO: Analeigh Tipton
WHERE & WHEN: “Warm Bodies” Hollywood premiere on January 29, 2013.
WEARING: Barbara Bui dress, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes

MY VERDICT: Analeigh is so adorable. I always love seeing her on the red carpet; she wears unique fashion well, and seems to be able pull of designs that others couldn’t.  For the premiere of her new movie, the 24-year-old wore a black Barbara Bui Spring 2013 leather mini pocket dress that features a dramatic split silk floor-length overlay.  She. Rocked. It.

I don’t typically like the “mullet” style, and that’s usually because it can come off kind of cheap. In this case, it looked cool—as it was intended. The skinny belt that binds the fabric to the shorter piece went completely around her waist as opposed to the loose fit on the model and the stray half. Personally, I liked the way it’s styled on Analeigh much more than on the catwalk. | continue reading..

Teresa Palmer in Philip Armstrong | “Warm Bodies” Hollywood Premiere

WHO: Teresa Palmer
WHERE & WHEN: “Warm Bodies” Hollywood premiere on January 29, 2013.
WEARING: Philip Armstrong dress, Jimmy Choo shoes, Judith Leiber clutch, and Jacob & Co. jewelry

MY VERDICT: In honor of her new zombie film, the Australian actress looked beautiful as she slipped into a dramatic lace “Narcissa” gown by Philip Armstrong.  Considering I find the red background and carpet too harsh for anything but a solid color outfit, I’m glad Teresa wore black; she didn’t clash, and I could focus on the overall appearance.  It was nice to see her pass on something short and predictable; the fit was good and the design had a cool feminine edge about it.

I’m really into the leather and lace look, so the bodice is obviously my favorite part.  We’ve been graced with plenty of similar sheer designs on the red carpet lately, but the trend was isolated to the bodice instead of being excessive here. I can’t help but like it. | continue reading..

Naomi Watts in Zac Posen | “The Impossible” Hollywood Premiere

Naomi Watts in Zac Posen | 'The Impossible' LA PremierePhotos: Zimbio; Style.com; J.Hadley; Jimmy Choo; Jennifer Meyer
Naomi Watts brought a touch of spring to December at the premiere of “The Impossible” last night wearing a floral gown!

The 44-year-old actress selected this beautiful Zac Posen ivory silk gown—from the designer’s Resort 2013 collection, with fluttering short sleeves, a cutout back and a mermaid train with an all-over print of purple flowers. She was obviously going for an old Hollywood look as she styled her blonde locks in asymmetrically gathered pin-curls to show off her glamorous J/Hadley green and pink sapphire oval drop earrings. | continue reading..
