MY VERDICT: Selena was one of the first to hit the blue carpet at the Billboard Music Awards where she is set to perform her new single “Come and Get It”. The 20-year-old “Spring Breakers” star opted for a daring white floor length dress from the Atelier Versace Spring 2013 collection with sheer spiraling illusion panels at the front and back and fluorescent bordering trim in pink, lime, and yellow. I wouldn’t label this as one of my favorite looks from her, but it’s a fun dress–very futuristic, and as one of my readers pointed out–it’s totally reminiscent of the wardrobe in the 1999 Disney Channel movie “Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century”.

MY VERDICT: After an early day of press, Michelle and Mila reunited with James on the emerald green carpet for the Russian premiere of “Oz: The Great and Powerful” while donned in two beautiful floor-length gowns.  Michelle opted for some Emerald City sparkle and wore a Jason Wu belted black silk short sleeve gown—from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection, that features an off-over print of glittering gold wavy stripes varying in widths from the neck to the hem.  I love the subtle mix of glamour and edge; it was well balanced with Michelle’s razor-cut pixie and her metallic accented Verdura cuff bracelet. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT:  After coming off an international press tour for her new movie “Spring Breakers” last week, Selena made it back to Hollywood in time for the Vanity Fair Oscar party where she donned a little couture.  The 20-year-old cutie arrived wearing a frothy shimmering pale nude gown from the Fall 2012 Atelier Versace collection, which included quite the ‘boosting’ bustier and a draped, full skirt.  Although Sel carries the dress well thanks to her slim and tall figure, I still don’t think it’s the best choice for her.

Something just feels off, but at this point I’m not sure if it’s the actual dress or the hair and accessories.  | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: I’m guessing that carrying around all that extra heavy fabric can only be fun for so long until it becomes tedious. Shortly following the Academy Awards, Olivia slipped into something much more sleek when she attended the annual post-Oscar bash hosted by Vanity Fair.  The “Newsroom” actress stepped out wearing a slinky beaded pink floor-length dress from the Atelier Versace Fall 2013 collection with cutout detail on the sides, double straps and a sexy high slit to show off her platform Versace sandals.  I definitely prefer this one on Miss Munn more; she seemed much more comfortable and it fit her better than the previous creation.  Smoky eyes, smoky eyes and a swept back ‘do completed her look.

WHO: Jane Fonda
WHERE & WHEN: 85th Academy Awards on February 24, 2013.
WEARING: Vintage Atelier Versace

MY VERDICT:  I’m fairly certain that Jane Fonda ages backwards.  This beautiful woman is in her seventies and somehow manages to look more youthful, than many actresses that are thirty years younger.  The Oscars were no exception to Jane’s usual radiance as she arrived on the red carpet–and stood out–in a bright yellow long sleeve Atelier Versace gown.  This 1986 vintage floor-length design featured a deep v-neck, cutout back, and a gold sequin deco pattern going around the entire waist.

It was retro, and it was fierce.

Jane wore gold waterfall diamond statement earrings and carried a matching mirrored clutch to compliment the details in her frock.  She then completed her look with a signature spiky mane, smoky eyes and a mauve pout.  She was electric.

MY VERDICT: All hail the lady suit! Selena rocked the red carpet when she joined her “Spring Breakers” costars Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens at the premiere of their film in Berlin wearing a fierce pinstripe black suit with gold detail from Atelier Versace.  This two-piece ensemble is brand-spanking-new as it was only recently debuted during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week last month—and it might be the coolest thing Miss Gomez has ever worn.  Not only are the metallic sequin embellishments obviously a selling point, but the tulle-covered cutout back locked it up for sure. Selena wore her long hair out in side-gathered cascading waves as to not disrupt that detail.  A ponytail would have been less of a hassle, but I pefer her hair out with this one. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: I feel like scientific testing needs to be done on why Halle Berry doesn’t age.  If there was anyone in the world I would want to know the beauty secrets of, it would be this woman. The gorgeous 46-year-old actress showed off her mega-watt smile and killer toned body in a single-shoulder colorful pink and coral printed gown from the Atelier Versace Fall 2012 collection.  I wasn’t really into the style of this dress on the runway, but I can’t deny that Halle rocks it.  Everything was working; smoky eyes, gold jewelry, and nd most of all—Halle’s ridiculously cool signature spiked hairstyle were the perfect finishing touches.  I’m glad she didn’t wear those high strappy sandals as pale pink stilettos worked just fine.  She’s such a beauty!

MY VERDICT: Her first child is officially only a month old, and already it seems as though Claire’s figure is back to looking as fabulous as it did before her pregnancy.  The “Homeland” star wore a beautiful, yet simple cut red halter neck wrap dress that was custom made by Versace and featured a shiny red closure detail at the waist.  Although the dress was very nice, I think my favorite part of this look was Claire’s voluminous layered loose curls and smoky eyes.  She’s still glowing! This look was completed with sharp diamond long earrings and a pair of red satin peep toe shoes with platform from the Ferragamo Red Carpet collection.

Uma Thurman rocked the raspberry red carpet last night when she attended the New York premiere of her latest movie “Playing For Keeps”. She joined her costar Jessica Biel in wearing a look from the same fashion house!

The 42-year-old actress kept warm in a black Atelier Versace suit. There was nothing vivid or ostentatious about what she wore, it was—for lack of a better word, very simple. Simply chic. I’m very vocal about my love for suits, and while I normally like to see something with prints, detail or in an interesting color, I just don’t think you can go wrong with a classic structure that’s well fit. Uma’s peaked lapel jacket featured a single row of three buttons and satin trim patch pockets.

She wore her long blonde hair in sleek, straight strands before completing the look with a diamond short necklace, matching drop earrings, a nude pout and open toe sandals. I love her red nails!

Uma Thurman was the picture of holiday perfection when she hit the powder blue carpet last night for the 2012 UNICEF Snowflake Ball in New York City wearing a rich and regal violet velvet gown. It’s the fabric of the season!

The 42-year-old actress selected to wear a plush Atelier Versace long sleeved floor-length dress with a wide v-neckline and gathered bodice that pulls from solid banded detail at the waist.

Uma donned a pair of classic pearl drop earrings, but I’m glad to see that she didn’t wear a necklace. I don’t think she needed one; I’m practically only focusing on her dress and pretty face anyway. But with that said, Uma styled her long blonde hair in smooth waves before topping off her look with complimenting make-up, a metallic evening clutch and open toe black sandals to show off her red lacquered nail polish.
