Andrew Garfield made quite the dapper entrance on the red carpet at the Beacon Theatre in New York City on Sunday night for the 66th Annual Tony Awards, honoring the best of the best when it came to this past Broadway season.

The 28-year-old actor was nominated for his role in the play “Death of a Salesman”.

The 50-year-old singer hit the red carpet at the Beacon Theatre in a custom made navy blue gown, with a sequin embroidered illusion bodice with cap sleeves.

Cynthia Nixon arrived on the red carpet last night at the Beacon Theatre for the 2012 TONY Awards, where she was nominated for her dramatic role in the Broadway play “Wit”.

The newlywed actress was all smiles in her bright fuchsia Carolina Herrera gown!

Cynthia selected this capsleeve silk, column gown with a bright orange empire belt and a sparkling inset at the draping collar.

As such a devoted fan of Herrera’s designs, I expected to see Cynthia select a dress from one of her most recent collections or to wear a custom one, like she did.

She accessorized with gold jewelry and a metallic clutch that matched her open toe heels.

Cynthia had to continually shave her hair for her role in the powerful play, but I like her new wispy pixie cut as it grows in.

It’s always nice to see such vibrant color on the red carpet. Cynthia looked happy, comfortable and simply divine.

Jessica Chastain should get some serious risk taking points for the beautiful,  yet daring, Marios Schwab dress that she wore to the 2012 Tony Awards last night.

The 35-year-old actress was a presenter during the ceremony, and arrived at the Beacon Theatre with a Broadway-bright smile as her body was engulfed in a swarm of sparkling Swarovski crystal-embroidered embellishments.

This nude dress, from Schwab’s Fall 2012 collection, left little to the imagination in the bust area, and I could see many starlets being afraid of attempting this look on the red carpet without lining — but Jess really went for it. | continue reading..

Judith Light was a big winner last night in more ways than one!

Not only did the “Other Desert Cities” star take home the “Best Featured Play Actress” award at the 2012 Tony Awards, but she looked amazing in her Sophie Theallet gown as she walked up the stage to accept her trophy.

“What on Earth?” That was literally the first thing that came to mind when I saw that Amanda Seyfried had attended the 2012 Tony Awards wearing this Givenchy get up.

The 26-year-old actress made a surprising appearance during the opening of the show in a purple, crystal-embroidered slinky silk dress from the Fall 2012 collection designed by Riccardo Tisci, with lace elements and a bright orange-red belt.

I liked this dress on the runway, and without a doubt, it works for a premiere — and certainly for editorial — but it was all wrong for the Tonys and, sadly, Amanda couldn’t make it work. | continue reading..

Ellen Barkin stepped out on the red carpet at the legendary Beacon Theatre last night, to celebrate a night of theatre with the 2012 Tony Awards in New York City.

“The New Normal” actress wore a violet long sleeve lace gown from the Fall 2012 collection by L’Wren Scott.

It was so muggy last night, so I’m not really sure how she found long-sleeve lace to be very comfortable. Though the photographer caught her off guard, you could still tell she looked fantastic, so I don’t think she minded very much about the humid feeling of the June air.

Ellen wore her short blonde hair swept up before completing her look with a glossy coral lip color and contrasting accessories. I loved her bright turquoise minaudière; it matched her earrings perfectly.
