Zoe Saldana in Balmain | “Star Trek Into Darkness” Berlin Premiere

Zoe Saldana in Balmain | 'Star Trek Into Darkness' Berlin Premiere Photos: Zimbio; Style.com; Christian Louboutin; EF Collection
WHO: Zoe Saldana
WHERE & WHEN: “Star Trek Into Darkness” German premiere on April 29, 2013.
WEARING: Balmain top and skirt, Christian Louboutin shoes, EF Collection jewelry

MY VERDICT: Zoe stood out on the white carpet in bright pink as she joined her co-stars for the German premiere of their new film, “Star Trek Into Darkness”; the follow-up to 2009′s “Star Trek”, the widely successful motion picture based off the iconic television series. Selecting a look from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection by Balmain, Zoe rocked a long sleeve gold and pink embroidered metallic scale top tucked into a hot pink gathered tulip mini skirt.

I’m completely in love with the futuristic rock element of this design; not only was it perfect for the event, but it also complimented Zoe’s lean figure while highlighting her complexion.

I’m not exactly thrilled that she left out the embellished belt seen on the model, but the lack of accessory didn’t hurt the look for me either. | continue reading..

Selena Gomez in Atelier Versace | “Spring Breakers” Berlin Premiere

Selena Gomez in Atelier Versace | 'Spring Breakers' Berlin PremierePhotos: Zimbio; Style.com; Barneys New York
WHO: Selena Gomez
WHERE & WHEN: “Spring Breakers” Paris premiere on February 18, 2013.
WEARING: Atelier Versace suit, Casadei shoes & Melinda Maria jewelry.

MY VERDICT: All hail the lady suit! Selena rocked the red carpet when she joined her “Spring Breakers” costars Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens at the premiere of their film in Berlin wearing a fierce pinstripe black suit with gold detail from Atelier Versace.  This two-piece ensemble is brand-spanking-new as it was only recently debuted during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week last month—and it might be the coolest thing Miss Gomez has ever worn.  Not only are the metallic sequin embellishments obviously a selling point, but the tulle-covered cutout back locked it up for sure. Selena wore her long hair out in side-gathered cascading waves as to not disrupt that detail.  A ponytail would have been less of a hassle, but I pefer her hair out with this one. | continue reading..

Vanessa Hudgens in Naeem Khan | “Spring Breakers” Berlin Premiere

WHO: Vanessa Hudgens
WHERE & WHEN: “Spring Breakers” German premiere on February 19, 2013.
WEARING: Naeem Khan dress, Christian Louboutin shoes & Amrapali jewelry.

MY VERDICT: What a world of a difference a silhouette makes! I wasn’t thrilled with the voluminous frock that Vanessa selected for the French premiere of her new movie “Spring Breakers”, but the petite actress made a grand red carpet improvement when she attended the Berlin celebration wearing a colorful sleek gown by Naeem Khan.  Vanessa selected the single sleeve number from the designer’s Spring 2011 collection, which features a vibrant tropical pattern and a sexy thigh-high slit that showed off her ridiculously cool black spiked “Lady Max” sandals by Christian Louboutin.  I’m quite possibly obsessed with these heels, and I found them to be a funky choice over a safe pointed toe pump. | continue reading..

Emma Stone in Gucci | “The Croods” Premiere – 2013 Berlinale International Film Festival

Emma Stone in Gucci | 'The Croods' Premiere - 2013 Berlinale International Film FestivalPhotos: Zimbio; Style.com; Christian Louboutin; Jamie Wolf
WHO: Emma Stone
WHERE & WHEN: “The Croods” premiere at the 63rd Berlinale International Film Festival on February 15, 2013.
WEARING: Gucci dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, and jewelry from Jamie Wolf & Graziela.

MY VERDICT: After a colorful appearance at the photocall earlier in the day, Emma hit the red carpet for “The Croods” Berlinale premiere wearing head-to-toe black…and a little pop of pink.  The 24-year-old actress slipped into a short black Gucci silk cocktail dress with netted top and sheer tulle sleeves, from the Spring 2013 runway collection.  To be honest, I like everything but the sleeves.  There’s a silk sleeve tunic version of this with a high neck that I prefer simply because I find those tulle elements to be so overwhelming.  Especially on Emma. | continue reading..

Emma Stone in Stella McCartney | “The Croods” Photocall – 2013 Berlinale International Film Festival

WHO: Emma Stone
WHERE & WHEN: “The Croods” photocall at the 63rd Berlinale International Film Festival on February 15, 2013.
WEARING: Stella McCartney dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, and jewelry from Melinda Maria & Jamie Wolf.

MY VERDICT: Emma brightened up her Friday morning in a smooth sleeveless Stella McCartney swirl plissé dress, from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection. Originally seen on the runway in a mid-length cut with a sheer inset from the shoulder across to the hip, Emma’s dress was shorten to above the knee.  I like that the design wasn’t disrupted too much as the orange is still split from the upper block, which appears to be a very faint aqua separated the now bone-colored lined panel. | continue reading..

Rooney Mara in Valentino Couture | “Side Effects” Premiere – 2013 Berlinale International Film Festival

Rooney Mara in Balenciaga | 'Side Effects' Premiere - 2013 Berlinale International Film FestivalPhotos: Zimbio; Style.com; Christian Louboutin
WHO: Rooney Mara
WHERE & WHEN: “Side Effects” premiere at the 63rd Berlinale International Film Festival on February 12, 2013.
WEARING: Valentino Haute Couture dress, Christian Louboutin shoes.

MY VERDICT: It appears as though Adele isn’t the only lady checking out the latest couture collection from Valentino this week!  Rooney turned to the Spring 2013 line for her red carpet look at the Berlinale premiere of her new thriller “Side Effects”.  After rocking a seriously cool tomboy ensemble for the photocall earlier in the day, the 27-year-old got ladylike in a floral vine embroidered black dress.  I can’t say that I’m into the puffed short sleeves, but I like the square neckline, and how the handkerchief styled asymmetric skirt is so different from what we’ve been seeing lately.

When a certain silhouette gets worn ad nauseam, it’s nice to see something fresh—and this worked for Rooney.  She completed her look with luminous makeup, a twisted ‘top-knot’, and a pair of shiny black Christian Louboutin “Batignolles” point toe pumps. | continue reading..

Rooney Mara in Balenciaga | “Side Effects” Photocall – 2013 Berlinale International Film Festival

WHO: Rooney Mara
WHERE & WHEN: “Side Effects” photocall at the 63rd Berlinale International Film Festival on February 12, 2013.
WEARING: Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière ensemble, Christian Louboutin shoes.

MY VERDICT: Rooney clearly showed us how to take a look directly from the runway–err, or ‘lookbook’ in this case–when she donned a full ensemble from the last Resort 2013 collection Nicolas Ghesquière did as the Creative Director for Balenciaga.

The “Side Effects” star appeared as though she just stepped off the catwalk at Fashion Week when she attended the photocall for the movie at the Berlinale Film Festival.  Rooney wore a cuffed white tee tucked into high-waist pinstripe trousers with a cropped navy crossover crepe top layered over it.  I’m a total fan of this on her!  Rooney has that cool, tomboy personal style that makes it feel so natural.  I also believe she’s doing the tightly pulled center-part ‘do, smoky eye, and dark garnet lip better than the model.  | continue reading..

Amanda Seyfried in Roksanda Ilincic | “Lovelace” Photocall – 2013 Berlinale International Film Festival

Amanda Seyfried in Roksanda Ilincic | 'Lovelace' Photocall - 2013 Berlinale International Film FestivalPhotos: Zimbio; FarFetch
WHO: Amanda Seyfried
WHERE & WHEN: “Lovelace” photocall at the 63rd Berlinale International Film Festival on February 9, 2013.
WEARING: Roksanda Ilincic dress

MY VERDICT: In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, Amanda brightened up her black tights and suede booties when she slipped on the lipstick red “Audrey” dress by Roksanda Ilincic for the “Lovelace” photocall before the Berlinale premiere.  She was joined by her costars James Franco and Peter Sarsgaard.  The wool fabric and drop waist prevented it from being too light for the wintry accessories, but the sleeveless cut and lithe design perked the overall look up as well.  It’s a famous fashion rule that every woman should own “a little black dress”, but with a timeless silhouette like this, I think Amanda presented the perfect example of the “LRD” every gal needs. Cherry glossed lips and a soft mane completed her daytime look. | continue reading..

Charlize Theron in Gucci | Cinema For Peace Gala 2013

Charlize Theron in Gucci | Cinema For Peace Gala 2013Photos: Zimbio; Gucci
WHO: Charlize Theron
WHERE & WHEN: Cinema For Peace Gala 2013 during the 63rd Berlinale International Film Festival on February 9, 2013.
WEARING: Gucci dress and clutch, Jimmy Choo shoes, and Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

MY VERDICT: Most of us have all seen Charlize’s new pixie cut in candid photos of the actress out and about in Los Angeles, but it’s clear that you can consider the Cinema For Peace Gala as the official red carpet debut of her super short locks.  The 37-year-old had buzzed off her longer mane for a new role in “Mad Max: Fury Road”.  Proving that she can rock any hairstyle thrown her way, Charlize stunned with slicked back tresses and dark raspberry lips while clad in a blush satin strapless Gucci Première gown.  The slim floor-length design features a wrapped silhouette, which was fastened with a crystal appliqué at the waist.  Personally, I like her hair now when it’s spiked up a bit, but I understand that this particular formal event called for something a little more polished.  She finished the look by complimenting the sparkling hip element with Tiffany & Co. diamond bangles and a nude satin strass “Broadway” long clutch, also from Gucci. | continue reading..

Anne Hathaway in Chanel Couture | “Les Misérables” Premiere – 2013 Berlinale International Film Festival

Anne Hathaway in Chanel Couture | 'Les Misérables' Premiere - 2013 Berlinale International Film FestivalPhotos: Zimbio; NYMag.com
WHO: Anne Hathaway
WHERE & WHEN: “Les Misérables” premiere at the 63rd Berlinale International Film Festival on February 9, 2013.
WEARING: Chanel Haute Couture dress, Casadei shoes

MY VERDICT: Did Anne coordinate outfits with Amanda Seyfried for the Berlinale premiere of their musical movie “Les Misèrables”?  The two ladies both sported glittering embellished bindings in their silk chiffon dark dresses.  While Amanda opted for a more recent runway look, her costar dipped into the Chanel Couture Fall 2009 archives for her beautiful navy short dress, which features a dramatic train.  I have to say, I may be hot-and-cold with Anne’s style these past few weeks, but I personally feel that she wore this better than the model.  I prefer the shortened hemline, and I really like how she kept it similar with tights—though the black opaque with navy satin pumps were much more complimentary than lace tights and boots. | continue reading..
