WHERE & WHEN: Bambi Awards 2013 on November 14, 2013.
WEARING: The Blonds
MY VERDICT: Looks like I didn’t have to wait long for Liam to break out some color! The Australian actor joined his castmates Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Elizabeth Banks tonight for the German premiere of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”, and looked mighty fine doing so in his royal blue Hugo Boss tuxedo with black contrast–including totally snazzy arched lapels. I mean, seriously, look at that suit–it’s so good. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: After rocking head-to-toe black at the world premiere the night before, Josh lightened up when he stepped out for the German premiere this evening in a Billy Reid greige wool three-piece suit. I can’t say that the suit stood out as a favorite of mine, but I do really like his tie. The incorporation of black, white and burgundy stripes is gorgeous, which makes me pay closer attention to the zoomed in photo over the full length shot. It wasn’t Josh’s most exciting look, but he looks good. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: I don’t know how Elizabeth does it, but she seems to outdo herself with every red carpet appearance. There’s also something about press events for anything to do with “The Hunger Games” that brings about some of her very best looks. She turned heads in a yellow gown at the world premiere, but nearly caused whiplash when she arrived for the German premiere this evening in a downright dazzling curve-hugging creation by Elie Saab. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Jen was back on the promo grind tonight when she attended the German premiere of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”. I was hoping for an upgrade of a look since I wasn’t that enthralled with her dress the evening before, but Jen continued to tread carefully with a Dior pale blue cotton embroidered and printed guipure coat from the Resort 2014 collection. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Jamie joined his “White House Down” costar Channing Tatum on the red carpet at CineStar for the German premiere of their movie in Berlin last night. The always dapper 45-year-old actor opted for a suit by, one of his favorite go-to designers, Ozwald Boateng. This combo suit featured a luxe chocolate brown two-button blazer and grey flat front trousers, which Jamie partnered with a white button-down dress shirt that included brown buttons to hold down the folded pointed collar, and a striking printed silk brown tie.
I love his beautiful tie and the color of his jacket, especially the way he complimented it with a shiny lace up dress shoe, but I’m not a big fan of the grey pant. It’s probably not the case, but it seems as though Jamie had to grab a different trouser at the last minute. I wish the pants were brown as well.
