MY VERDICT: After a colorful appearance at the photocall earlier in the day, Emma hit the red carpet for “The Croods” Berlinale premiere wearing head-to-toe black…and a little pop of pink.  The 24-year-old actress slipped into a short black Gucci silk cocktail dress with netted top and sheer tulle sleeves, from the Spring 2013 runway collection.  To be honest, I like everything but the sleeves.  There’s a silk sleeve tunic version of this with a high neck that I prefer simply because I find those tulle elements to be so overwhelming.  Especially on Emma. | continue reading..

WHERE & WHEN: “Side Effects” premiere at the 63rd Berlinale International Film Festival on February 12, 2013.

MY VERDICT: It appears as though Adele isn’t the only lady checking out the latest couture collection from Valentino this week!  Rooney turned to the Spring 2013 line for her red carpet look at the Berlinale premiere of her new thriller “Side Effects”.  After rocking a seriously cool tomboy ensemble for the photocall earlier in the day, the 27-year-old got ladylike in a floral vine embroidered black dress.  I can’t say that I’m into the puffed short sleeves, but I like the square neckline, and how the handkerchief styled asymmetric skirt is so different from what we’ve been seeing lately.

When a certain silhouette gets worn ad nauseam, it’s nice to see something fresh—and this worked for Rooney.  She completed her look with luminous makeup, a twisted ‘top-knot’, and a pair of shiny black Christian Louboutin “Batignolles” point toe pumps. | continue reading..

It may be February, but the temperature raised to scorching levels when Robert Pattinson hit the red carpet tonight at the Berlinale Palast for the premiere of his film “Bel Ami” during the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival.

Rob looked incredibly dashing as he joined his co-stars Christina Ricci and Holliday Grainger in a black evening coat that fell to just above his knees.  I believe this is the first time I’ve ever seen him cover up his suit with a coat at a premiere, but I like it—I like it a lot.  I say that a lot, but it’s true.  He’s so dapper.  Rob wore head-to-toe Dior Homme; a ink grey two piece suit paired with a dark charcoal tie, a pale grey button-down shirt, and of course—the coat. | continue reading..

Christina Ricci finally got it right from head-to-toe when she stepped out tonight for the red carpet premiere of her film “Bel Ami” that was held during the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival.

The 32-year-old tiny actress arrived at the Berlinale Palast glimmering in a gorgeous sequin tank-style gown by Jenny Packham with a deep scoop-neckline. Lea Seydoux returned to the red carpet in another outstanding look when she attended the “L’Enfant d’en Haut” premiere held during the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival on Monday night.

The 26-year-old actress selected a long-sleeved black gown — with multiple stripes of lace insets — from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection by Elie Saab that she looked simply flawless in. For the morning photocall and press conference, the 24-year-old actress selected a pale cap-sleeve silk dress that was completely embroidered in pink and yellow floral appliqués from the Resort 2012 collection. Charlotte, a muse for Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquiere and face of the Paris fragrance, wore a full look from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
