MY VERDICT: Lisa kept it spicy at the Daytime Emmy Awards in her cutaway black dress. The “General Hospital” actress hit the red carpet in a Haider Ackermann silk design straight from the Spring 2013 runway; the long dress featured a billowing asymmetric sleeveless top, which gave way to a plunging open side with a bandeau top to keep her covered up. You can clearly see from the runway that dress is edgy and cool, but I wish there had been a better photo of Lisa to show that. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Elizabeth brought a splash of spring to the Daytime Emmy Awards when she arrived in a silk dupioni full-length Lindsey Thornburg cap sleeve “Heroine” gown with a pastel tie-dye motif. The slinky design may have seemed soft and sweet, but that daring plunging neckline could not be missed. Very few people could pull such a cut off, but the “Young and the Restless” star exuded confidence and made it work for her. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: At first glance it looks like Hunter King wore a black gown to the Daytime Emmy Awards over the weekend, but she actually did something a little more unique for the ceremony and rocked a jumpsuit! The 19-year-old “Young and the Restless” starlet hit the red carpet in a vintage wide-leg silk Jean Varon jumper from Decades, Inc. The playful evening design featured a sassy plunging neckline, which was harnessed by two wide spaced built-in bands, and a cutout back. MY VERDICT: Kristen Alderson made a giant wardrobe improvement at the Daytime Emmy Awards this time around, when compared to her silver gown last year, but that’s not to say there weren’t a few bumps along the way. The 22-year-old actress shined on the red carpet in a jewel-and-sequin embellished sweetheart silver lace gown by Tony Bowls before taking the stage to accept her award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series, for her role as Starr Manning on “General Hospital”. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Heather Tom wasn’t the only star interested in a little red carpet sparkle at the Daytime Emmy Awards. The beautiful Chrishell Stause highlighted her curves in a sassy jeweled Sherri Hill strapless gold gown with a sweetheart neckline and a dramatic thigh high slit. MY VERDICT: Cady made a fresh statement in head-to-toe white when she hit the red carpet for the Daytime Emmy Awards over the weekend. The beloved soap actress reprised her role as Dixie for the reboot of “All My Children” on Hulu. I’ve been watching–have you? Back to the outfit at hand, Cady looked lovely in a long sleeve Tom Ford cocktail dress with a square neckline to match the uneven detail at the hem. MY VERDICT: “All My Children” starlet Denyse Tontz kept it minimal and sweet when she hit the red carpet for the Daytime Emmy Awards in a airy white Ted Baker halter neck gown. I love that the 18-year-old actress didn’t go overboard despite the glitzy setting of the evening, she stood out amongst the rest by opting for something a little bit understated. I wish there wasn’t so much fabric at the bottom, but I liked the idea and the semi-sheer insets at the sides of the high neckline. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Finola kept it simple and chic when she hit the red carpet for the 2013 Daytime Emmy Awards wearing a glamorous Adrianna Papell gown. The “General Hospital” star opted for the black shutter peplum strapless design from Papell’s Spring/Summer 2013 Evening collection. I’m not always on board with this extended detail at the waist, but it definitely works for some women–and Finola is one of them. This suited her svelte frame nicely.

Loosely curled tresses and an assortment of edgy black-and-white diamond jewelry helped complete her evening look.

MY VERDICT: Whoa, mama! Heather Tom turned up the heat on the red carpet for the Daytime Emmy Awards over the weekend in one shimmering gown. Last year the “Bold and the Beautiful” star was pregnant when she donned a flattering floral gown, but this time around she showcased her post-baby figure in a plunging neck Kaufmanfranco rose gold number.
