MY VERDICT: I have a stubborn love for anything Jen Garner wears; there are some things I like, but most of the time I want to like it—but, I never do.  Clearly that wasn’t the case at the Golden Globes this year because she was darn-near flawless in a Vivienne Westwood Couture burgundy sequin “Riding” strapless gown.  The gathered bust and dazzling detail is breathtaking, and I love how she wore her hair up in a wavy ponytail with face framing tendrils that highlighted her gold earrings.  This might be one of her Jennifer’s best red carpet appearances to date, at least I think so—and I doubt many would disagree.

She completed her sparkling gem of a look with a pair of Ferragamo burgundy red satin peep toe platform pumps.

WHO: Naomi Watts

MY VERDICT: I suspected we’d see this gorgeous burgundy crepe and satin long sleeve gown from the Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2013 collection on the red carpet this awards season, and I can’t say that I’m surprised Naomi was the one to debut it.  I think the silhouette is absolutely stunning and looked incredible and very regal on Naomi.  I had hoped if she was going to wear this that she would save it for Oscar night, but if you can’t wait—you can’t wait, and I understand that.

My favorite part of this dress is obviously the cutout back and glamorous train, and I like how Naomi wore her hair up to accentuate that all while also putting her matching diamond and ruby Lorrraine Schwartz earrings on display.  She completed her look with a burgundy-colored minaudière with metal frame from the Ferragamo Red Carpet collection.

MY VERDICT: Her first child is officially only a month old, and already it seems as though Claire’s figure is back to looking as fabulous as it did before her pregnancy.  The “Homeland” star wore a beautiful, yet simple cut red halter neck wrap dress that was custom made by Versace and featured a shiny red closure detail at the waist.  Although the dress was very nice, I think my favorite part of this look was Claire’s voluminous layered loose curls and smoky eyes.  She’s still glowing! This look was completed with sharp diamond long earrings and a pair of red satin peep toe shoes with platform from the Ferragamo Red Carpet collection.

WHO: Hayden Panettiere

MY VERDICT: Hayden was the portrait of youthful beauty last night in her strapless ivory pleated Roberto Cavalli gown.  The “Nashville” starlet is very petite, so I found that the slim silhouette and mini fishtail train were very flattering and didn’t overwhelm her small frame.  With a solid dress like this, she could have gone further with her hair and makeup, but I’m glad Hayden kept it clean and simple. She finished her look with delicate diamond jewelry and a bright purple clutch for an appreciated pop of color.

MY VERDICT: It appears as though we can thank “Girls” star Allison Williams for being the girl lady to wow us with something from the brand new Pre-Fall 2013 collection by Gilles Mendel.  She selected the black full gown, which features crystal beaded trim embellishments and a plunging illusion neckline.  I love the way Allison added a tiny pop of color to her dark, dramatic look with coral Lorraine Schwartz statement drop earrings; these stood out due to her tightly swept up hairstyle.  Smoky eyes, peach tinged cheeks and a glossy nude pout completed her look.

MY VERDICT: Rachel and her husband Daniel Craig complimented each other in black ensembles at the Golden Globes this year.  The “Oz: The Great and Powerful” actress wore a sweet Louis Vuitton black silk dress, which featured a sheer polka dot yoke and a matching skirt that began mid-thigh. If it were not for the sheer aspects of this, it would have simply been a strapless LBD with a satin bow at the belt, and we couldn’t have that. The see-through detail of the skirt allowed for us to get a good view of Rachel’s platform Jimmy Choo “Raven” suede sandals. MY VERDICT: Someone is ready for spring!  Lucy was practically a garden princess in her strapless sky blue Carolina Herrera ball gown with an all-over flower and leaf pattern.  This dress is very beautiful, but I think the “Elementary” star was the perfect lady to don this design on the red carpet as it appears to be a tough one for many to pull off.  Lucy wore her long black hair in a sweet fishtail braid before simply topping off her look with white and canary yellow diamond drop earrings, and a subtle makeup palette.

MY VERDICT: You know that term “fifty and fabulous”? Well, that’s applies to Jodie Foster, who stepped out on the red carpet last night to attend the Golden Globes where she was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille award, for lifetime achievement in motion pictures, looking amazing in a Giorgio Armani shimmering couture design.  Jodie wore a navy blue crystal embellished column dress with embellished crisscrossing straps.  The dress is pretty all on its own, but it’s Jodie’s smooth bob haircut and flawless makeup that helped make her look quite magical for such a memorable night.

MY VERDICT: I’d hate to sound so cliché, but Kristen was truly glowing on the red carpet last night! The mama-to-be looked beautiful in her pale lavender silk Jenny Packham gown, which featured gorgeous crystal beading along the cap sleeve bodice and gown the back.  It can often be a challenge for expectant moms to find the right dress at these events that’s both comfortable and stunning, but Kristen must have felt like the bell of the ball in this ethereal design.  The dress wasn’t the only thing working for her though—a wavy high ponytail with loose tendrils, soft makeup and a clutch that matched her dress helped complete this look.

MY VERDICT: Why on Earth are more people not talking about how fabulous Connie looked last night at the Golden Globes? I mean, seriously, the 45-year-old “Nashville” star looked fantastic in her Kaufmanfranco “Ginger” crystal bead-embellished column gown, from the Fall/Winter 2012 collection.  As classic of a silhouette and style as it may be, when something works and looks good—run with it, and I’m so glad she did.  As if the dress wasn’t pretty enough to steal attention on its own, Connie perfectly accessorized with matching jewelry from Lorraine Schwartz. While a few of her gold bangles picked up the golden detail in her frock, the darker silver baubles complimented her nail color!  The look was complete with soft makeup and glamorous cascading ginger red curls.  On a note, is it weird that I totally pictured her wearing gold?
