Andrea Riseborough stood out on the red carpet last night in bright orange when she attended the British Fashion Awards while accompanying designer Roksanda Ilincic. The English actress wore a billow-sleeved long dress from Ilincic's Spring/Summer 2013 collection, which features tapered cobalt blue cuffs and a matching ruffled collar---a detail Andrea passed on in favor of a cleaner neckline. Considering she left her long hair out straight and falling over her shoulders, it's probably best that she didn't cover up the ruffles.
Salma Hayek didn't hold back on the fringe factor when she rocked the red carpet last night at the British Fashion Awards 2012 wearing a swinging black cocktail dress by Stella McCartney. The "Savages" actress posed with McCartney and actress/model Amber Valetta on the red carpet wearing this look from her Resort 2013 collection. Anne Hathaway is also a fan of this dress.
Gemma Arterton opted for pants tonight when she took on the red carpet for the British Fashion Awards in London. The 26-year-old actress arrived at The Savoy Hotel wearing head-to-toe Stella McCartney, an honored designer of the night. Selecting a outfit from McCartney's Winter Evening Collection 2012, Gemma wore a halterneck tuxedo jumpsuit. If this sassy tux looks familiar, it's because Shailene Woodley selected it a few months ago for the MTV Movie Awards---
Lily Collins looked fantastic on the burgundy carpet tonight when she joined Jamie Campbell Bower---her boyfriend and costar from the upcoming film "The Mortal Instruments", at the British Fashion Awards, held at The Savoy Hotel in London, England. The 23-year-old actress was looking much more grown up than we're used to seeing when she arrived in a sleek black Mulberry gown and deep berry-colored lips. Lily is wearing a Spring 2013 long "Eliza" pleated crepe dress, a non-presented runway look. I'm totally into the subtle edginess of the dress, which featured tiny gold spiked studs along the thin straps.
Kate Hudson came out to the Savoy hotel for the 2011 British Fashion Awards tonight in London to support designer pal, Stella McCartney. Stella was honored as a celebrity go-to designer for major events with the "Red Carpet Award"; naturally Kate flaunted her post-baby body on the blue carpet in a custom one shoulder black gown from Stella's Spring/Summer 2012 collection. This wasn't your basic black gown, the left side was cutout in the waved design from the collection with mesh insets.
Olivia Palermo looked extra stylish when she arrived at the Savoy hotel tonight in London for the 2011 British Fashion Awards. The 25-year-old reality star and socialite attended the ceremony wearing a long-sleeve beaded dress from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection by Matthew Williamson. Perhaps the greatest details of all are the multi-tier fringes throughout the dress -- even on the sleeves! With all of the mad rushes for Spring 2012 looks, I was excited to see this dress finally get some red--err blue carpet time. I think it looked great on Olivia, and I'm excited that the neckline was able to shine by her not covering it with her hair. From the neck up she's got that evening award show look down when it comes to her hair and make-up. But, with such a fun dress as this, I think a bouncy ponytail would have played up the youthfulness of it.
In one of my favorite dresses of the night, Alexa Chung accepted the British Style Award tonight at the Savoy hotel for the 2011 British Fashion Awards wearing Christopher Kane! Alexa gave her svelte frame some shape with this ivory silk satin sleeveless dress with an embroidered net cropped overlay from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection. She's also carrying the matching clutch. I love, love, love her "Kitty" pumps from Charlotte Olympia! Just... not with the dress. Although, this take on unique footwear isn't surprising when it comes to Alexa's interesting style.
