WHO: Jennifer Lawrence
WHERE & WHEN: “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival Party on May 18, 2013.
WEARING: Christian Dior dress, Manolo Blahnik pumps, Bottega Veneta clutch & Chopard jewelry.

MY VERDICT: For only one day in Cannes, Jennifer Lawrence sure knows how to stylishly fill a few hours. The “Hunger Games” starlet hit the black carpet for a party to celebrate “Catching Fire”—the second installment of the movie series, where she rocked her third Christian Dior outfit! After going heavy with black for the previous two looks, Jen beautifully brightened up in a off white twill bustier cocktail dress from the Fall 2013 collection with a colorful Warhol “Femme Head 1958″ printed along the extended asymmetric panel of the skirt.

This is the length her premiere dress should have been as it’s much more flattering for her figure. | continue reading..

Zoe Saldana in Bottega Veneta | “Star Trek Into Darkness” Mexico City Photocall

WHO: Zoe Saldana
WHERE & WHEN: “Star Trek Into Darkness” Mexico City photocall on May 7, 2013.
WEARING: Bottega Veneta dress, Salvatore Ferragamo shoes

MY VERDICT: Before hitting the red carpet for the premiere of “Star Trek Into Darkness” in a white jumpsuit, Zoe played with prints at the press conference and photocall earlier in the day. The 34-year-old actress wore a black and white speckled sleeveless dress by Bottega Veneta, from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection with a deep v-neckline and cutaway detail beneath the bust.

This was a pretty dress on Zoe, but I’m perplexed as to why she partnered it with such a heavy shoe. | continue reading..

Blake Lively in Marios Schwab & Burberry Prorsum | “The Croods” NYC Premiere

WHO: Blake Lively
WHERE & WHEN: “The Croods” New York City Premiere on March 10, 2013.
WEARING: Marios Schwab dress, Burberry Prorsum coat, Bottega Veneta shoes, Chanel clutch & Jennifer Meyer jewelry.

MY VERDICT: It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Blake out on the red carpet, but the newlywed actress made an exciting return when she attended the New York premiere of the animated film “The Croods”, which stars her husband Ryan Reynolds.  The 25-year-old showcased her mile-long legs in a sexy burgundy long sleeve mini dress by Marios Schwab, from the designer’s new Fall 2013 collection.  The edgy number includes white lining with split detail at the elbow and a cool patent inset at the bodice.  This was definitely my favorite dress from the line; | continue reading..

Madeleine Stowe in Bottega Veneta | 2013 Costume Designers Guild Awards

Madeleine Stowe in Bottega Veneta | 2013 Costume Designers Guild AwardsPhotos: Zimbio; Style.com
WHO: Madeleine Stowe
WHERE & WHEN: 15th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards on February 19, 2013.
WEARING: Bottega Veneta

MY VERDICT: The usually demure Madeleine appeared to have upped her sex appeal on the grey carpet at the Costume Designers Guild Awards when she selected this corset black velvet panel gown from the Fall 2012 collection by Bottega Veneta.  While this isn’t the first star we’ve seen take a liking to the sexy bustier gown—remember Britney Spears at “The X Factor” season 2 finale?—it was certainly worn better this time around. The minimal makeup, simple black accessories, complimenting jewelry, and most of all, the long cascading waves on the “Revenge” star were a better match that Brit’s ill-fit and “top knot” hairstyle.

Mila Kunis in Dolce & Gabbana | “Oz The Great and Powerful” World Premiere

Mila Kunis in Dolce & Gabbana | 'Oz The Great and Powerful' World PremierePhotos: Zimbio; Christian Louboutin
WHO: Mila Kunis
WHERE & WHEN: “Oz The Great And Powerful” World Premiere in Hollywood on February 13, 2013.
WEARING: Dolce & Gabbana dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, Bottega Veneta clutch & Sutra jewelry.

MY VERDICT: Mila opted for a very pretty ladylike ensemble when she stepped onto the yellow brick carpet to celebrate the wonderful world of Oz.  The beautiful actress wore a pale grey corset fit-and-flare Dolce & Gabbana dress that is completely embroidered with delicate bone-colored lace.  The figure-flaunting silhouette was a perfect fit on Mila and very flattering.  She complimented the color well with a pair of silver satin “Angelique” pumps by Christian Louboutin, which feature ruched tulle framing and a dainty bow at the open toe.

Personally, I like it when Mila wears bold colors, but because of her warm complexion and chocolate-brown hair, this very light dress didn’t wash her out.  | continue reading..

Faith Hill in J. Mendel | 2013 GRAMMY Awards

Faith Hill in J. Mendel | 2013 GRAMMY AwardsPhotos: Zimbio; Style.com
WHO: Faith Hill
WHERE & WHEN: 55th Annual Grammy Awards on February 10, 2013.
WEARING: J. Mendel dress, Tom Ford shoes, Bottega Veneta clutch & Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

MY VERDICT: Joined by her husband Tim McGraw, Faith stepped out on the Grammys red carpet in a sexy sheer cocktail dress by J. Mendel.  The Country singer opted for a new frock from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection, a black bustier knee-length dress connected to a sheer embroidered long sleeve upper body design.  It wasn’t clearly visible in the presentation, but the lower portion of the dress features a navy textured panel in the center of the pencil skirt. I thought this was a great choice for her; I like the shortened hemline.  As for the rest, I found Faith’s hair to be a bit too refined for a dress of this style. I wish she would have let her locks go free, but she’s a beauty regardless.

This outfit was complete with sapphire jewelry and a shiny pair of black patent Tom Ford pumps.

Nicole Kidman in Elie Saab Couture | 2013 G’Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala

WHO: Nicole Kidman
WHERE & WHEN: 2013 G’Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala in Los Angeles on January 12, 2013.
WEARING: Elie Saab dress, Bottega Veneta shoes & Fred Leighton jewelry.

MY VERDICT: I don’t think I will ever get over how truly beautiful the dresses are in Elie Saab‘s Fall/Winter 2012 Haute Couture collection, so naturally I’m in love with the coral fit-and-flare dress that Nicole wore last night for the G’Day USA gala.  The “Paperboy” actress stood tall in the sweet embellished cocktail number, which featured golden lace and sequin embroidery that was broken up by a thin matching belt.  This accessory was turned around on the runway, I wish Nicole had done that to bring in more of the gold.

She may not have worn the pale t-strap sandals from the runway, but Nicole kept the same color combination going with light pink pumps from Bottega Veneta.  A bit of contrast color was added to the look with gorgeous gold and green stone Fred Leighton earrings. The only downside to this look for me was her hairstyle; it was a little too “First Grade school picture”.

Amanda Seyfried in Bottega Veneta | 2013 National Board Of Review Awards

Amanda Seyfried in Bottega Veneta | 2013 National Board Of Review AwardsPhotos: Zimbio; Style.com
WHO: Amanda Seyfried
WHERE & WHEN: 2013 National Board Of Review Awards at Cipriani 42nd Street in NYC on January 8, 2013.
WEARING: Bottega Veneta dress, Alexandre Birman sandals & Norman Silverman jewelry.

MY VERDICT: Amanda selected to wear a very beautiful silk peach dress from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection, which features metallic embellished panels beginning at the halter neckline and continuing until the loose hem of the skirt.  I wouldn’t want to alter the dress in any way, but considering Amanda’s height, she could have afforded to take off a few inches to simply achieve the silhouette from the runway where it ends just below the knee.  As for her shoes? I totally support her choice of pewter strappy Alexandre Birman “Sally” sandals.  Amanda’s long strawberry blonde tresses were styled in pretty ringlets before she completed her look with a raspberry pout. | continue reading..

Megan Fox in Roland Mouret | “This Is 40″ Hollywood Premiere

Megan Fox in Roland Mouret | 'This Is 40' Hollywood PremierePhotos: Zimbio; Bottega Veneta; Christian Louboutin
Megan Fox flaunted her fabulous post-baby bod on the scarlet red carpet last night for the Hollywood premiere of her new movie “This Is 40″ wearing the hottest color of the season—oxblood.

The 26-year-old actress looked amazing in her long sleeve Roland Mouret cocktail dress. I loved all the little nips along the waist and hips, but that open drape v-cut neckline is perfection. This dress looked fantastic with Megan’s ‘hot mama’ figure, and it allowed for her to really play with accessories; it’s pretty obvious she took full advantage of that.

Megan slipped on a fierce pair of spike-embellished black monochrome Christian Louboutin “Pigalle” pumps; my favorite take on the classic Loubie shape! She carried a snakeskin knot intrecciato Bottega Veneta clutch before adding some contrast color to her look with gold trim multicolored drop earrings by Jennifer Meyer. | continue reading..

Dianna Agron caught the “HBO’s In Vogue: The Editor’s Eye” screening tonight at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City where she wore head-to-toe Bottega Veneta.

The 26-year-old “Glee” star posed on the red carpet wearing a pretty floral printed dress from the Spring 2013 collection with ladylike fluttering short sleeves and a slim silhouette defined by an embellished belt.  | continue reading..
