MY VERDICT: Clad in head-to-toe Burberry, Tom Sturridge celebrated his Leading Actor nomination for his role in the Broadway play “Orphans” by walking the Tony Awards red carpet with two of his favorite ladies. The English actor was joined by his mother, actress Phoebe Nicholls and his fiancée Sienna Miller. Tom kept it relatively classic, but I liked his trilby hat and deep blue tie.

MY VERDICT: She’s two for two—and in the rain! Cara Delevingne followed up her amazing Burberry Prorsum MET Ball ensemble from last week with yet another red carpet winner at the Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony gala premiere of “The Great Gastby”. The 20-year-old model posed for the crowds of photographers in the drizzling weather wearing a sleek custom-made black lace long sleeve gown, which features sheer panels at the sides, sleeves, and center plunging v-neckline.

There’s an element of danger to this that I really love, and it suits Cara’s adventurous attitude perfectly. With her long dark blonde tresses styled to the side in full waves—and rocking a brand new lion tattoo on her right index finger, Cara completed her look with dramatic ruby red lips, black platform pumps, and diamond Chopard Fine Jewelry.

MY VERDICT: Cara made her look very hard to top when she arrived at the MET ball in New York City wearing a totally badass black long sleeve custom-made Burberry gown with a gold studded upper body surrounding a dangerous plunging neckline.

This dress is too good. I think many were nervous about the PUNK: Chaos to Couture theme this year and didn’t really know how to approach it, and that’s why the majority were either not punk at all or they were–for lack of better words–in something that could double as a Halloween costume. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Jamie Campbell Bower and Lily Collins weren’t the only fashion power couple at the MET gala this year. Sienna and Tom embraced the punk theme of the fête by opting for custom-made stud and safety pin creations from Burberry Prorsum.

Tom, who just recently picked up a prestigious Tony nominee for his role in the Broadway play “Orphans” wore a simple black tuxedo—amplified with a safety pin embellished shirt and lace up distressed boots. He’s a big fan of hats, so I’m not surprised to see he went with one. I think he could have–and should have–done something really edgy with his long hair, but I like that he at least added embellishments to his trilby and complimented the shirt.

MY VERDICT: It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Blake out on the red carpet, but the newlywed actress made an exciting return when she attended the New York premiere of the animated film “The Croods”, which stars her husband Ryan Reynolds.  The 25-year-old showcased her mile-long legs in a sexy burgundy long sleeve mini dress by Marios Schwab, from the designer’s new Fall 2013 collection.  The edgy number includes white lining with split detail at the elbow and a cool patent inset at the bodice.  This was definitely my favorite dress from the line; | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Michelle has been killing it on the press tour for “Oz: The Great and Powerful”!  Every event brings yet another fabulous outfit, and the London premiere wasn’t any different.  The 32-year-old actress worked her asymmetric pixie haircut with a feathered blue Burberry Prorsum cocktail dress this time around.  I love the balance between her edgy hairstyle partnered with the funky embroidery and vibrant dimensional color of the Spring 2013 knee-length dress. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Poor Anne got a brunt of the rain pour when she posed on the BAFTA red carpet, so maybe it’s a good thing she wore a black gown with heavy detail at the top.  I imagine lace like Amy Adams provided much more of a shivering cold and heavy hassle.  The “Les Misérables” actress wore one of her best dresses of the past few weeks, I think, by selecting this short sleeve Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2013 gown. The cool design featured a complete silver studded bodice.  The slim fit flatters Anne’s lithe figure, and I like how she added a touch of glamour to the rock ‘n’ roll style by doubling up on Rona Pfeiffer cobblestone cuffs worn on each wrist.

Unlike yesterday, Anne’s swept bangs looked great for this event because her eye makeup wasn’t as heavy.  She added a needed pop of color with bubblegum pink lips before finishing the look with a detailed box clutch.

WHO: Nicholas Hoult
WHERE & WHEN: “Warm Bodies” New York City screening on January 25, 2013.
WEARING: Burberry Prorsum

MY VERDICT: Before strutting out on the Hollywood red carpet for the premiere of “Warm Bodies” in Balenciaga, Nicholas previously joined his costar Teresa Palmer for a special New York screening wearing a very dapper three piece suit from Burberry.  The English actor selected a checked grey wool blazer, waist coat and trousers from the label along with a white dress shirt that he partnered with a bold olive and charcoal diagonal striped tie.  It’s clear that the tie is the focal point of this look, which makes me thrilled to see it contained a little color.

Some men can work a suit better than others, and Nicholas is certainly toward the top of the list of those who can.

Black leather dress shoes and a little bit of facial scruff helped complete the look.

WHO: Adele
WHERE & WHEN: 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on January 13, 2013.

MY VERDICT: It was so nice to see Adele back out on the red carpet for the Golden Globes last night, but it was even better to see her snag a trophy of her own for the beautiful theme to “Skyfall” that she recorded.  The new mama looked beautiful in her custom-made black Burberry gown, which featured flattering cropped long sleeves and an embroidered neck.  With her signature heightened hair, cat-lined eyes and red talon nails in place,  Adele completed her look with diamond jewelry and a pair of Miu Miu heels.  I love her retro style;  you really have to own it or else it looks forced and tacky.  She emitted nothing but beauty and class.
