MY VERDICT: After donning two brilliant purple looks this week, Kerry Washington kept in classic in black and white when she arrived at the Hollywood premiere of her new movie “Peeples” at the ArcLight theater. The 36-year-old actress flaunted her toned figure in a slinky silk-satin dress by Narciso Rodriguez, from the designer’s Fall 2013 collection.

I’ve never been much of a fan of the “mullet” style dresses, but I can’t deny that I like this on Kerry. I also find the white insets at the bust to be more flattering to the overall look rather than the sharp black and white contrast seen on the runway. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: After donning a shocking pink mini at the MET ball earlier in the week, Kate opted for a more subdued shade at the special Hollywood screening of her new movie “Black Rock”. The 30-year-old actress arrived at the ArcLight Hollywood theater wearing a Miu Miu ivory and slate blue godet skirted dress, which featured an exquisite pearl and crystal embroidered sleeveless bodice. The intense flounce skirt both flattered and lengthened Kate’s lithe shape, which is refreshing since this style has the tendency to truncate or add unnecessary width to teh body.

With a sleek low ponytail and a pop of punchy red on her pout, Kate finished off the look with a pair of silver leather décolleté pumps and a python clutch–both from Prada.

MY VERDICT: Caroline Sunshine was all smiles on the red carpet as she joined her “Shake It Up” costars Bella Thorne and Zendaya to celebrate the first annual Radio Disney Music Awards. The 17-year-old actress opted for a bold fashion approach by selecting the Alice + Olivia “Sia” peter pan collard placket gown, from the Spring 2013 collection, which features a fun all over orange flower pattern and a white belt sitting at the natural waist.

I won’t deny that the dress aged Caroline a bit, but I think that could have been avoided slightly by styling her long blonde hair into a high ponytail instead of a mature bun. Hoop earrings, the perfect amount of makeup, and a silver clutch completed her look.

MY VERDICT: Wow, Zendaya totally nailed it with her outfit of choice at the first annual Radio Disney Music Awards! The “Shake It Up” starlet–who’s currently electrifying the dance floor this year on “Dancing with the Stars”, arrived on the scarlet carpet wearing a fearless printed short suit from Juicy Couture. The 16-year-old donned the minty green “Palmetto” printed blazer and trouser shorts from the Spring 2013 collection, which she partnered with a sheer white blouse that featured an embellished collar. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: I think Bridgit was one of the best dressed stars at the first annual Radio Disney Music Awards in my eyes. The “Good Luck Charlie” star was on-hand to perform her new single “Hurricane” (it’s addicting, trust me) and wore a cool grey tie-dye sleeveless playsuit from Topshop that features hot pink and fluorescent yellow trim along the arm openings and neck along with crsytal embellishments. MY VERDICT: After showing off a sexier side at the MTV Movie Awards earlier this month, Selena kept it a bit more PG when she attended the first annual Radio Disney Music Awards in a black and white printed draped Blumarine mini skirt, from the Fall 2013 collection, with pops of pink and orange.

MY VERDICT: “Jessie” star Debby Ryan rocked the red carpet at the first annual Radio Disney Music Awards in a bold shocking pink custom DKNY fit-and-flare dress, which she partnered with a pair of Jean-Michel Cazabat strappy “Oka” sandals that are made up of snakeskin and floral patterns in a vibrant mix of yellow and green shades.

I like that Debby took the splash of contrasting color a step further by additionally accessorizing with a “Agatha” jade marble printed acrylic box clutch by ashlyn’d. This was an unexpected mix of brights, and an idea that both paid off and set Debby apart from the rest of the RDMA attendees. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Disney Channel princess Bella Thorne didn’t hold back on the color when she took on the red carpet for the first annual Radio Disney Music Awards. The “Shake It Up” star donned a dark blue rosette embroidered strapless bustier crop top and matching mini skirt by Keepsake, which she brightened up with a plethora of rainbow colored accessories. MY VERDICT: Chelsea stood out at the red and gold themed Hollywood premiere of “Iron Man 3″ when she hit the scarlet carpet wearing a shimmering yellow cocktail dress. The “Baby Daddy” actress selected the “Taryn” beaded cap sleeve fitted dress from the Spring 2013 collection by Alice + Olivia. I’m a tad bit obsessed with this dress because A) it’s sparkles–so, duh, B) the knee length design is practically the most flattering cut for a woman, and C) the shade of yellow is so pretty.

I’m not surprised that this dress has become a celebrity favorite; you may remember Vanessa Hudgens rocking it on “The Tonight Show” last month. It was a great choice for Chelsea, and it helps that her angled swept bob haircut suits her dress perfectly. My only qualm is that she had worn a better shoe. She didn’t need anything distracting, but the nude pointed toe leather pump was kind of boring and office-ready. After seeing this dress with a gold sandal and printed fun (pictured on model)–I was let down.

A Doves by Doron Paloma yellow gold quartz and diamond ring and Kabana diamond and opal earrings completed her look.

MY VERDICT: Providing a pretty balance of “sweet” and “rebellious”, the 19-year-old “Jessie” star hit the red carpet for the “Iron Man 3″ premiere wearing a strapless OSMAN cocktail dress with a black leather bodice and a cream skirt completely embroidered with shimmering gold detailing, from designer Osman Yousefzada’s Spring 2013 collection. Not only was the dress a perfect fit on Debby’s figure, but I like that she kept her neckline practically bare–with the exception of a dainty gold necklace–and wore her long ginger tresses up in a loosely twisted style. | continue reading..
