MY VERDICT: I think I hyped up my Wish List choices for Carrie so much that when I actually saw what she wore to the Grammys, I was kind of disappointed.  That’s not to say that her strapless Roberto Cavalli gown with a beaded motif pattern and fishtail hem wasn’t beautiful, because it was.  I just set myself up for boldness–for color.  I liked the drama of Carrie’s dress, but the diamond necklace feels out of place. It’s too bright for the fabric and style, therefore I would have rather seen her in darker tone jewelry, you know, more along the lines of what Miley Cyrus rocked a pre-Grammy party. | continue reading..

The 2013 Grammy Awards–aka, the BIGGEST night in music–will soon be underway, and with that major red carpet comes a wish list of what I’d like to see some of your favorite stars of song wearing.  This is the first time I’ve created a list for this particular award show, and I have to say, I was pretty excited for it.  With some music-centered ceremonies, there are a lot of super short party dresses, but I feel like Grammy night leaves more room for glamorous gowns.  Think of it as the Oscars for music.

Maybe some of the ladies will wear something similar or exact to what I envision, or maybe they won’t. After rocking a cool jumpsuit on the red carpet recently, Carrie Underwood returned to showing off her famous toned gams last night in this pretty citrus mini at the 2012 American Country Awards in Las Vegas!

The “Two Black Cadillacs” singer hit the red hot carpet at The Factory in Tennessee for the annual event wearing a fun Katharine Kidd black stretch tropical wool jumper with silk draped panels and crystal beaded trim, from the designer’s Fall 2012 collection.  I loved the not-too-sleek silhouette.  | continue reading..

Following her performance of “Two Black Cadillacs”, Carrie Underwood slipped into something short—and probably a bit more comfortable, to accept her award for ‘Favorite Country Music Album’ last night during the 40th anniversary of the American Music Awards, held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Hollywood.

The Country singer wore an electric blue strapless cocktail dress by Sarli Couture, which hit mid-thigh with surrounded asymmetric pleated detail that reached a bit longer.  The ruffled design of the angled layer around the skirt–long with the tips of the  bodice– featured black sequined trim that matched the large wide-buckle belt that Carrie was sporting. | continue reading..

Carrie Underwood rocked the American Music Awards stage last night when she performed her single “Two Black Cadillacs” wearing a fierce belted black deconstructed tulle dress by Rachael Cassar, which featured an asymmetric bodice completely embroidered with crystal detail and a billowing skirt with a high slit to show off her cool two-tone lace up boots.

I believe Carrie Underwood might have stolen the show last night when it came to the perfect dress for the 40th American Music Awards last night! The Country singer lit up the red carpet last night at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live with her magenta gown!

The 29-year-old looked absolutely stunning in her high neck and cap-sleeve majestic Abed Mahfouz gown, which comes from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection. The sleek and solid design of this floor length silk-chiffon creation fit Carrie’s body like a dream; I’m in love with the sequin work throughout in illusion patterns, and can we talk about that contouring at the waist with the pulled fabric?
