MY VERDICT: After opting for a fun deep red ensemble earlier today for “The Bling Ring” photocall, Emma Watson hit the red carpet to celebrate the premiere during the Cannes Film Festival looking diving in black and white Chanel. The 23-year-old English actress joined her costars while wearing a long off-white Spring 2013 Haute Couture silk crepon dress with a sparkling black embroidered sequined bustier.

It was young but refined, and Emma carried herself so effortlessly in it. Soft smoky eyes and a twisted up-do with straying pieces in the front helped complete Emma’s premiere look. As for jewelry, she loaded up on diamond studs and small hoop earrings.

This may not have been on my Wish List for Emma, but it surpassed my expectations completely. I loved it.

WHO: Kristen Stewart
WHERE & WHEN: 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala – PUNK: Chaos to Couture on May 6, 2013.
WEARING: Head-to-toe Stella McCartney

MY VERDICT: Leave it up to Kristen Stewart to do the exact opposite of what you expect her to do. There wasn’t a scrap of tartan or a Chuck in sight when the “On The Road” actress arrived on the red carpet as a guest of designer Stella McCartney. Kristen wore a dramatic bordeaux silk long sleeve jumpsuit with panels of lace embroidery. First of all–I’m so excited she wore a jumpsuit. This may not have been one of my Wish List picks for her, but I had my completely heart set on a jumpsuit and she delivered. I like that there was an approach to punk taken here by incorporating some femininity into it. Kristen has a natural punk vibe about her that she didn’t need to be cliché, and that’s why this works for her better than it would for someone else.

WHO: Elodie Yung
WHERE & WHEN: “G.I.Joe: Retaliation” Hollywood premiere on March 28, 2013.
WEARING: Chanel

MY VERDICT: Elodie joined Adrianne Palicki last night for the Hollywood premiere of “G.I.Joe: Retaliation” where she took a step into the spring season wearing a voluminous sea green Chanel dress, from the Cruise Versailles 2013 collection.  Just a few months ago, we saw Astrid Bergès-Frisbey don this flirty silk-chiffon angled ruffle cocktail dress—but, both ladies passed on the brilliant gemstone jewelry originally presented with the design.

At least Astrid tried to make up for it with silver sandals, but Elodie paired her dress with a simple bracelet and pale blush suede open toe pumps.  The accessories were nice, but really boring. Too boring for this dress. I really wish she had incorporated some multicolored jewels–at least at the neckline. She didn’t really do much with her hair either.

In the end–Elodie is a beautiful girl wearing a fun dress, but this fashion moment was definitely lackluster.

MY VERDICT: Diane Kruger is such a fashion beast.  This lady can work a look straight from the runway to the red carpet like a pro, and sometimes it looks even better on her than it did when it first made its way down the catwalk.  After promoting her new movie “The Host” earlier in the day, Diane hit the red carpet for the FX Upfront bowling event to support her boyfriend Joshua Jackson and his new show “The Bridge” on the network–it premieres in July.  Diane wore a Jason Wu white button-down halter neck top tucked into split peplum black trousers, from the designer’s Fall 2013 collection. | continue reading..

WHERE & WHEN: Visiting “Good Morning America” in New York City on March 28, 2013.
WEARING: Preen by Thornton Bregazzi dress, Loeffler Randall shoes & a Chanel bag.

MY VERDICT: After several dark looks from Diane while promoting “The Host” in the states this month, the 36-year-old actress brightened up the week when she stepped out for an appearance on “Good Morning America”.  Diane opted for the navy and white jacquard “Stryder” dress by Preen that, surprisingly, comes from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

The mixed speckle and stripe pattern is fun, but I really like the pop of color with the red banded detail at the waist. That being said, nothing can compare to the burst of citrus at the back!  | continue reading..

WHERE & WHEN: “The Host” New York City screening on March 27, 2013.

MY VERDICT: It was another all black look for Diane Kruger when she attended the NYC special screening of her new movie “The Host”. The film is based off the novel by Stephenie Meyer, who gained fame from her first book series, the famous “Twilight” saga. Diane joined her costars Saoirse Ronan, Jake Abel, and Max Irons, wearing a cool short sleeve dress by Chanel.

The 36-year-old actress rocked the short LBD over a matching mini skirt, both from the new Fall 2013 collection, that features delicate all-over pearl embroideries.  I like the way Diane toughened up the ladylike style with over-the-knee suede Christian Louboutin “Big Lips” boots with silver pin heels.  | continue reading..

After conquering the red carpet with crutches at the Oscars a few short weeks ago, KRISTEN STEWART was back in her sky-high heels for the 2013 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards sporting a few trends that you’re going to want to try!

MY VERDICT: Kristen hit the KCA carpet like a woman on a mission when she arrived in a totally cool OSMAN by Osman Yousefzada blue-violet structured top and matching shorts with black checkered print, from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection.  The 22-year-old actress is known for showing off her long legs in mini skirts, but I like the slight switch up for trouser shorts; this reminded me a bit of the playsuit she wore a few months ago while promoting the final “Twilight” movie—a look that was definitely a top favorite of mine from that press tour.

This was a fun casual take on a dressy look, and it suited Kristen’s chill attitude and rebellious style while perfectly fitting the occasion.  She also looked really comfortable.  That being said–I’m totally obsessed with the combination of an undone fishtail braid!  It’s always cool when Miss Stewart gets a little adventurous with her hair. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Blake out on the red carpet, but the newlywed actress made an exciting return when she attended the New York premiere of the animated film “The Croods”, which stars her husband Ryan Reynolds.  The 25-year-old showcased her mile-long legs in a sexy burgundy long sleeve mini dress by Marios Schwab, from the designer’s new Fall 2013 collection.  The edgy number includes white lining with split detail at the elbow and a cool patent inset at the bodice.  This was definitely my favorite dress from the line; | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Kristen was one of the last Oscar arrivals, and she did so by stepping out on crutches!  The “On The Road” star was nursing an unexplained injury, but toughened it up to go sans assistance as she posed for photos in her glittering Reem Acra Spring 2009 Bridal Couture dress; a pale blush strapless bustier gown with exquisite hand beaded embroidery throughout, pleated tulle inserts, and a low-dipping open back.  It was the most ethereal look I’ve seen on her; that being said, I’m either a stickler for wanting to see the actress in rich color—or I’m just a hard one to win over with pale dresses.
