Review: China Glaze 'The Giver' Collection

Review: China Glaze ‘The Giver’ Collection

Product Review

China Glaze teamed up with "The Giver" to celebrate the summer release of the social science fiction film, based off the early 1990s novel by Lois Lowry. Set in the year 2048, the dystopian story focuses on a community stripped of their memories. To keep in theme with the story and colors of the film, the polish collection features 10 cremes and 2 glitters that balance each other out with cool and warm tones. Ranging from pale mint green and ballet pink to vibrant brick red and purple, the line is reawakened with a shimmering bronze that actually looks like glittering gravel on your nails. I was attracted to the line at first glance, so I was thrilled to received the collection from China Glaze to share my review with all of you. Read on to find out, what I think, are the most stand-out colors.

Review: China Glaze Sea Goddess Spring 2014 Collection

Review: China Glaze ‘Sea Goddess’ Spring 2014 Collection

Product Review

The first day of spring is literally a week away, so I'm quite excited that I was able to check out three polishes from the China Glaze Spring 2014 "Sea Goddess" Collection. They were kind enough to share them with me so that I can share with all of you today! I'll be honest, while the rich pastel hued colors originally grabbed my attention, the fact that they were textured polishes made me a bit apprehensive as it's been a definite 'hit' or 'miss' with other China Glaze textured polishes. However, these were much finer--kind of a mix between Zoya's Pixie Dust and OPI Liquid Sand polishes, if you're familiar with those. All three of them were very easy to apply and I pretty much got full coverage in just two coats.

Review: China Glaze ‘Monsters Ball’ Halloween 2013 Collection

Product Review

I'm a holiday nut to the core---ask anyone who knows me. I pretty much count down until September 1st so that I can celebrate my four favorite months that involve Fashion Week (okay, so that's not an official holiday), Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. One of my favorite ways to celebrate the season is by playing around with nail art, so needless to say, I look forward to all the themed collections from some of my favorite nail brands. CHINA GLAZE literally hits the nail on the head every year for Halloween with a boo-tastic collection of colors and glitters to create some of the prettiest--erm 'creepy' looks. The folks over at CG were kind enough to send their latest "Monsters Ball" Collection my way so that I could give you the scoop on what you'll need to be wearing on your nails on All Hallows' Eve! Let's boogie...
