Much like Jessica Alba was doing at the same time, the 26-year-old model opted for a white-on-white look that included a Christian Dior creme silk bustier and skirt with convenient hidden pockets; this silhouette was originally seen on the Fall 2013 catwalk in a colorful print design. | continue reading..
Photos: Zimbio; Zuhair Murad; Christian LouboutinMY VERDICT: It may feel like all of Hollywood is currently at the Cannes Film Festival, but Jessica Alba spent her night working the Marina Bay Sands black carpet at the Social Star Awards in Singapore. The 32-year-old actress announced the winners of the first-ever ceremony, a 24-hour award show that’s live streamed on YouTube. Jessica flaunted her curves in a Zuhair Murad strapless cocktail dress from the Spring 2013 collection. The white beaded design features an underlay of white lace over nude lining for a sexy illusion paneled effect.
I like the dress just fine, but I can’t deal with those white shoes. | continue reading..
Photos: Zimbio; Style.comMY VERDICT: It wouldn’t be the Cannes Film Festival without lots of Versace red carpet moments, and Heidi Klum was the latest star to rock it when she attended the premiere of “Nebraska” this evening. The 39-year-old model flaunted her long, toned figure in a asymmetric white bustier Fall 2012 gown with all over silver stud detailing–including the single mesh sleeve that travels into an overlay down the skirt, which also includes an extreme thigh slit. This is much higher on Heidi than it was on the runway. | continue reading..
Photos: Zimbio; Christian LouboutinMY VERDICT: The always beautiful Shantel VanSanten hit the red carpet for the “Fast & Furuious 6″ premiere in Hollywood wearing a cool head-to-toe black outfit with some sexy edge. The 27-year-old former “One Tree Hill” actress wore a custom Nikki Rich cocktail dress featuring a laser cut leather sleeveless bodice with silk lining to enhance a shimmering effect and leather inlay pattern. The lower half of the dress was all smooth stretch leather to give it a unique balance.
It was clearly a perfect fit for Shantel’s athletic figure, and I liked her mixture of rough and feminine accessories–including | continue reading..
Photos: Zimbio; Rupert Sanderson; PalladiumMY VERDICT: She may toughen up in a movie about crime and fast cars, but Gina was all elegance when she hit the red carpet for the Hollywood premiere of “Fast & Furious 6″ wearing a beautiful Amanda Wakeley gown. The 31-year-old actress selected the white mist v-neck cap sleeve gown from Wakeley’s Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 Atelier collection with hand beaded gunmetal embellishments at the shoulders, bodice center, and small waist peplums. The ethereal high-low hem and train allowed us with a great shoe view too! Gina coordinated with the jagged gunmetal “Teoni” strappy sandals by Rupert Sanderson. | continue reading..
Photos: Zimbio; Style.comMY VERDICT: There’s never a dull fashion moment when Zoe Saldana is around. There are times when she’s a risk-taker, and then the next thing you know she’s opting for pure, classic elegance. That’s exactly what happened at the Cannes Film Festival today where Zoe opted for a playful polka-dot skirt, colorblock top and colorful pumps at the photocall for her movie “Blood Ties”—only to hit the red carpet for the premiere in a lovely embroidered Valentino gown.
Zoe wore the blue-grey silk chiffon full length dress from the Fall 2013 collection with brocade embroidery throughout the sheer overlay, thick white panel straps, and a delicate strand of pearls that frame the top of cutout detail at the back of the dress. The design of the gown is refreshingly unique even though the silhouette is timeless.
She wore her long brunette tresses pulled off her face by a hair-made headband; this allowed Zoe to showcase her David Yurman pear-shaped drop earrings. A red matte lip was Zoe’s beauty choice for the second time today.

Photos: Zimbio; Style.com; SSENSE; Bergdorf GoodmanMY VERDICT: Christina joined Pitbull on the Billboard Music Awards stage to perform their hit single “Feel This Moment”, it was also the perfect opportunity for Xtina to debut her newly toned physique. The singer looked great in a black Hervé Léger by Max Azria “Sabine” a-line skirt that she partnered with a Versace long sleeve cardigan top.
The silhouette was flattering and showcased her curves in the best light—and I like how Christina’s Versace belt with micro-fringe added a little flavor to the otherwise simple outfit. | continue reading..
Photos: Zimbio; Zuhair MuradMY VERDICT: Jennifer Lopez wore head-to-toe gold to the Billboard Music Awards. Naturally. The “Live It Up” singer (which, bee-tee-dubbs, I’ve had that song on repeat all weekend) wowed on-lookers when she hit the blue carpet wearing a Zuhair Murad gold halter gown with a plunging neck and an intricate pattern of hand-beaded feathers that sporadically splatter into a sheer skirt. This daring dress comes from the designer’s Spring 2013 Haute Couture collection.
I wasn’t shocked, but I wasn’t let down either. This is what JLO does—and she does it well. There are few women that I feel could truly pull this gown off but, thankfully, she is one of them. In fact, Jen is the highest on the list.
She wore her long honey-highlighted tresses back off her neck before completing the look with bronze makeup, diamond jewelry, gold Christian Louboutin ankle strap pointed toe pumps, and a matching box clutch.
