WHO: Dakota Fanning
WHERE & WHEN: 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala – PUNK: Chaos to Couture on May 6, 2013.
WEARING: Rodarte dress, Roger Vivier clutch

MY VERDICT: Dakota wore one of my favorite dresses of the whole night! The “Very Good Girls” actress arrived to the daring punk-themed gala with her younger sister Elle as the guests of sister designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte–a perfect idea, if you ask me–and wore a dramatic silk charmeuese black gown from the Fall 2013 collection, which featured sheer silk tulle panels that was embroidered with cool beaded wings along the waist and back. This was originally presented on the runway as a jumpsuit–in fact, it made my Met Gala: Wish List as an option for Saoirse Ronan who didn’t end up attending. | continue reading..

WHO: Dakota Fanning
WHERE & WHEN: “Very Good Girls” 2013 Sundance Film Festival Premiere on January 22, 2013.
WEARING: Miu Miu top, Louis Vuitton skirt, Azzedine Alaïa shoes & Cartier jewelry.

MY VERDICT: It was so great to see Dakota back out on the red (err–brown) carpet!  We haven’t seen a lot of her at major events lately as she’s been going to school and filming movies, but she was able to make it out to Sundance this year to support her film “Very Good Girls” and wore a very good outfit.  I adore her navy ribbed crewneck Miu Miu crop top that she so wisely paired with a Louis Vuitton short black skirt with navy baroque embroidery, which comes from the brand spanking new Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

It’s such a pretty skirt, but the top, sheer black tights and mesh inset Azzedine Alaïa hidden platform booties definitely toughened it up to a cool youthful look with some edge.  | continue reading..

While fans across the country were standing in line for midnight showings of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″, Dakota Fanning reunited with a few of her costars for their last screening in New York City, hosted by The Cinema Society.

The 18-year-old actress brought out her inner vamp by giving us some drama in the floor-length midnight navy “Panama” v-neck darted gown by Valentino with a-line skirt, hidden pockets and micro open lattice panels throughout. This dress comes from the Spring/Summer 2013 Ready-to-Wear Collection.

I don’t know if it’s Dakota’s newly darkened locks that are doing it for me, but she owned this! I love the dark and dangerous allure she gave to a simple camisole cut, solid color creation.  | continue reading..

The 18-year-old newly brunette actress wore an pretty pink floral lace strapless peplum mini dress with a skinny black leather belt, which was embellished with rebellious gold spikes. Dakota Fanning in Elie Saab Couture | “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ LA Premiere

I had to do a double take when Dakota Fanning stepped out on the black carpet for the Los Angeles premiere “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″; the final Hollywood event to celebrate the box-office smash that took flight thanks to Stephenie Meyer’s beloved vampire love-story book series.

I always comment on how the 18-year-old doesn’t do much with her hair, so she decides for the last Twi-premiere that she’s going to debut her new brunette locks. The first time she does something drastic and she completely changes her hair color, natch. Once I got over the shock of Dakota’s new ‘do, I couldn’t help but then fall in love with her gorgeous Elie Saab gown! | continue reading..

Before she hit the red carpet for the London premiere of “Now Is Good” on Thursday, Dakota Fanning had stepped out for the Manchester premiere the previous night, which was held at the Odeon Cinema.

Taking a bit more of a casual route for this screening, Dakota wore a cute “Soledad” trompe-l’oeil two-tone dress from the Fall/Winter 2012 collection by Maje. The black dress featured an attached short sleeve white crop top. | continue reading..

My, oh my! Dakota Fanning looks so grown up at the London premiere of her new movie “Now Is Good”, doesn’t she?

The 18-year-old actress joined her costar Jeremy Irvine at The Curzon Mayfair cinema on Thursday evening wearing a dazzling nude sequin-embellished gown by Stella McCartney, with thin straps, a scooped neck and a slim silhouette that flared out into a whimsical lightly pleated design.

The dress was a perfect fit, and because of the dark tone embellishments, it didn’t wash out Dakota’s porcelain complexion. | continue reading..

Dakota Fanning hit the black carpet last night at Sony Pictures Studios for the 40th AFI Life Achievement Award special, which honored actress Shirley MacLaine.

The 18-year-old actress looked beautiful in a Gucci coral silk georgette v-neck pleated gown, from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

Not only do I think this color was a lovely shade on Dakota, I’m loving her accessories!

Dakota wore a gold studded, black leather butterfly Gucci belt that perfectly matched her minaudière.

She left her hair naturally waved before finishing off her look with gold Neil Lane jewelry and her favorite Cartier “Love” bracelets, along with a pair of Gucci sandals and a light makeup palette. | continue reading..

Dakota Fanning attended the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards gala last night in New York City as the guest of the Proenza Schouler designing duo Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough.

The 18-year-old actress arrived on the red carpet at Alice Tully Hall wearing a design from the Fall 2012 collection; an Asian-inspired long-sleeve asymmetric dress. The muted brown, grey, rusty orange and gold tones in this layered design are gorgeous and just as captivating on Dakota as they were on the runway.

Dakota is also wearing leather woven ankle boots that were paired with the dress during the catwalk presentation. | continue reading..
