Gina Carano in Amanda Wakeley | 'Fast & Furious 6' Los Angeles PremierePhotos: Zimbio; Rupert Sanderson; Palladium
WHO: Gina Carano
WHERE & WHEN: “Fast & Furious 6″ Los Angeles Premiere on May 21, 2013.
WEARING: Amanda Wakeley Atelier dress, Rupert Sanderson shoes, Christian Louboutin clutch, and jewelry from Dana Rebecca Designs & Palladium.

MY VERDICT: She may toughen up in a movie about crime and fast cars, but Gina was all elegance when she hit the red carpet for the Hollywood premiere of “Fast & Furious 6″ wearing a beautiful Amanda Wakeley gown. The 31-year-old actress selected the white mist v-neck cap sleeve gown from Wakeley’s Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 Atelier collection with hand beaded gunmetal embellishments at the shoulders, bodice center, and small waist peplums. The ethereal high-low hem and train allowed us with a great shoe view too! Gina coordinated with the jagged gunmetal “Teoni” strappy sandals by Rupert Sanderson. | continue reading..

Katie Aselton in Wes Gordon | “Black Rock” Hollywood Screening

Katie Aselton in Wes Gordon | 'Black Rock' Hollywood ScreeningPhotos: Zimbio; Style.com; Nicholas Kirkwood; Dana Rebecca Designs; EF Collection
WHO: Katie Aselton
WHERE & WHEN: “Black Rock” Hollywood screening on May 8, 2013.
WEARING: Wes Gordon top and skirt, Nicholas Kirkwood shoes and jewelry from Dana Rebecca Designs & EF Collection.

MY VERDICT: Despite a plethora of glamorous and unique gowns at the MET gala, one of my favorite looks this week popped up on Katie Aselton at a Hollywood screening for “Black Rock”. The 34-year-old actress not only stars in the thriller alongside Kate Bosworth and Lake Bell–she directed it as well.

Back to the outfit. Katie rocked a pretty Wes Gordon olive silk georgette draped wrap blouse and a cool navy ink foil calfskin pencil skirt, from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection. | continue reading..

Jennifer Lopez in Michael Kors | MET Gala 2013

Jennifer Lopez in Michael Kors | MET Gala 2013Photos: Zimbio; Dana Rebecca Designs; Jimmy Choo
WHO: Jennifer Lopez
WHERE & WHEN: 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala – PUNK: Chaos to Couture on May 6, 2013.
WEARING: Michael Kors dress, Jimmy Choo shoes, and jewelry from Dana Rebecca Designs & Rona Pfeiffer.

MY VERDICT: JLo brought the drama! Leave it up to Jennifer to hear the words “punk theme” and show up in something that’s not really punk at all–but, will still cause a scene. Oh wait, maybe she actually hit the nail on the head. The “Live It Up” singer arrived wearing a custom black cheetah patterned, sequin-embroidered gown by Michael Kors with long sleeves and a daring open back. I liked the gradient effect of large and smaller embroideries as it showed off Jen’s figure rather than widening it.

She accessorized all in black, naturally, | continue reading..

WHO: Saoirse Ronan
WHERE & WHEN: “The Host” New York City screening on March 27, 2013.
WEARING: Proenza Schouler dress, Dolce & Gabbana coat, Christian Louboutin shoes, Proenza Schouler bag & Dana Rebecca Designs jewelry.

MY VERDICT: The week isn’t over but I can officially say that Saoirse is headed towards the top of my list for my favorite look.  The 18-year-old actress joined her costars at the special New York screening of “The Host” wearing a kick-ass dress by Proenza Schouler.  Saoirse arrived in a short sleeve folded dress sporting an exciting abstract blue pattern from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection. This electric non-presented design features thick black leather trim falling asymmetrically down the center and a twisted matching belt to define her slim waist.

I’m totally obsessed with the cool, rough style of the dress that still holds such a feminine excellence.  | continue reading..

Lucy Hale in Christian Dior | 2013 Kids’ Choice Awards

WHO: Lucy Hale
WHERE & WHEN: Nickelodeon’s 26th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards on March 23, 2013.
WEARING: Christian Dior dress, Brian Atwood shoes, a Nancy Gonzalez bag, and jewelry from BaubleBar, Norman Silverman & Dana Rebecca.

MY VERDICT:  Lucy added a splash of color to her white and black palette when she attended the Kids’ Choice Awards.  The “Pretty Little Liars” star stepped out on the purple carpet wearing a button-down sleeveless fit-and-flare cotton collared dress from Christian Dior.  Lucy belted the Resort 2013 design with a skinny black leather accent to match her ankle strapped platform “Zenith” suede pumps by Brian Atwood, but it was the fuchsia crocodile box clutch by Nancy Gonzalez that really made the look pop.  | continue reading..

Selena Gomez in Oscar de la Renta | 2013 Kids’ Choice Awards

Selena Gomez in Oscar de la Renta | 2013 Kids' Choice AwardsPhotos: Zimbio; Style.com; Gucci; Net-A-Porter
WHO: Selena Gomez
WHERE & WHEN: Nickelodeon’s 26th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards on March 23, 2013.
WEARING: Oscar de la Renta top and shorts, Gucci shoes & a Diane von Furstenbergclutch.

MY VERDICT: As if I couldn’t be more excited for spring weather to finally arrive and this 38 degree craziness to disappear, Selena just had to wear this adorable Oscar de la Renta outfit to the Kids’ Choice Awards!  The “Spring Breakers” starlet was thinking along the same lines as Kristen Stewart and opted for comfortable, yet dressed up, shorts.  Selena selected a pretty pale turquoise silk gazar peplum top with white textured cotton linen shorts from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection.  A similar embellished pink ensemble was seen on the runway as well as a white version of her top.

I adore the lightweight appearance of the fabric, but my favorite part was that Sel partnered the pieces with a pair of contrasting python ankle wrap Gucci sandals.  | continue reading..

WHO: Mila Kunis (left), Michelle Williams (right)
WHERE & WHEN: ”Oz: The Great and Powerful” Moscow photocall on February 27, 2013.
WEARING: Mila- Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, and jewelry from Melinda Maria & Dana Rebecca Designs. ; Michelle- Victoria Beckham dress & Charlotte Olympia shoes.

MY VERDICT: While Rachel Weisz did some promo elsewhere, Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams joined a very blonde James Franco at the photocall and press conference in Moscow, Russia to celebrate their new Disney movie “Oz: The Great and Powerful” in very cool coordinating greyscale ensembles.  Well, maybe not James’ boots.

Mila flaunted her figure, while staying warm, in a cozy grey jersey Givenchy dress–from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection, which featured all-over ruching and cascading ruffles down the center of the dress. I really like how this dress fit her, but I wish she had worn her hair partially up to show off a bit more of the flared neckline.  Mila accessorized with the gold/white diamond “Galaxy Wrap” ring and gold “Nailhead Heart” ring from Melinda Maria along with a Dana Rebecca “Sylvie Rose” necklace, before | continue reading..

Selena Gomez in Dolce & Gabbana | “Spring Breakers” Madrid Premiere

Selena Gomez in Dolce & Gabbana | 'Spring Breakers' Madrid PremierePhotos: Zimbio; Dana Rebecca Designs; JHadley
WHO: Selena Gomez
WHERE & WHEN: “Spring Breakers” premiere in Madrid, Spain on February 21, 2013.
WEARING: Dolce & Gabbana dress and jewelry from Dana Rebecca Designs & J/Hadley.

MY VERDICT:  Is it too early to already call my favorite look for Selena Gomez on the “Spring Breakers” press tour? I’m going to go with “no” and express my love for the Dolce & Gabbana black lace bustier gown she wore.  The 20-year-old flaunted her curves in the sexy corset gown, which featured strips of satin panel embroidery that traveled down into the train.  It was so minimal and classic, but also very sexy without being overtly so.

I like that Sel styled her long hair up in a loose bun to show off her added pop of color—her earrings!  | continue reading..

Jennifer Lawrence in Roland Mouret | Vanity Fair Campaign Hollywood 2013 Pre-Oscars Celebration of “Silver Linings Playbook”

WHO: Jennifer Lawrence
WHERE & WHEN: Vanity Fair Campaign Hollywood 2013 Pre-Oscars “Silver Linings Playbook” Celebration on February 20, 2013.
WEARING: Roland Mouret dress, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes & Dana Rebecca Designs jewelry.

MY VERDICT: With Oscar night drawing close, Jennifer joined her “Silver Linings Playbook” costars for a special celebration of their nominated film at a soirée hosted by Vanity Fair, Barneys New York and The Weinstein Company in Los Angeles.  The 22-year-old actress played with shape and colorblocking in a white asymmetric strapless folded crepe dress by Roland Mouret, from the Spring 2013 collection, with a black panel at one side.  I like the style of the dress, I just wish someone had smoothed out those wrinkles in the skirt.  Jen completed her look with swept up waves to show off her emerald earrings, a gorgeous black diamond “Jessica Sara” intricate banded ring by Dana Rebecca Designs, and a complimenting pair of black Giuseppe Zanotti ankle strap sandals with metallic trim. | continue reading..

Anne Hathaway in Gucci | 2013 Costume Designers Guild Awards

Anne Hathaway in Gucci | 2013 Costume Designers Guild AwardsPhotos: Zimbio
WHO: Anne Hathaway
WHERE & WHEN: 15th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards on February 19, 2013.
WEARING: Gucci dress and jewelry from Dana Rebecca Designs, Julieri & Kwiat.

MY VERDICT: Many ladies opted for glamorous gowns at the Costume Designers Guild Awards this year, but Anne kept it short and sweet when she rocked the grey carpet in a gold metallic embellished mini dress by Gucci.   The dazzling little frock featured mesmerizing crystal embroidery in a intricate cage-like design at the neck.  With a dress this busy, the “Les Misérables” Oscar nominee was smart not to go overboard with accessories—however, it didn’t stop her for going full-out with a crystal t-strap sandal.  While it would have been best for her to tone it down with an unembellished shoe, I can’t help but not care when all of my focus is going to that dress.  Anne completed her look with a swept pixie, a metallic manicure, and cat-lined dramatic eye. | continue reading..
