MY VERDICT: While in New York City preparing for the annual MET Ball this upcoming Monday, Katy took the opportunity to promote her new fragrance “Killer Queen”. I can’t say that I’m surprised that the “Wide Awake” singer grabbed some inspiration from Marie Antoinette for her sneak preview event at the James B. Duke Mansion. Katy took a seat at her royal gold and crimson throne as she showed off a ‘killer’ red and white gingham strapless corset gown by Thom Browne, from the Fall 2013 collection, which featured a gorgeous rosette pattern that was complimented by eye-catching oversize beaded roses. I love the exaggerated detail at the hips, but it was really the glamorous raven ringlets and ruby accented jewelry that set the whole look off. There’s an element of ‘punk’ in this look that’s to the point of me wondering why she didn’t save this dress for the gala next week.

Katy finished with a pink-rose lip color and black “Dover” kid suede pumps by Alice + Olivia.

MY VERDICT: Peyton joined her “Jessie” costar Debby Ryan at the Kids’ Choice Awards this year, and while Debs kept it bright in yellow, Peyton did a cool take on vintage Barbie by adding some pops of hot pink to her black and white outfit.  The 14-year-old actress paired a cropped black t-shirt with the adorably chic “Delaney” beaded striped flare skirt from the Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet Spring 2012 collection. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: It’s nice to see that the midriff trend is still sticking around, I wasn’t quite ready to be done with it.  Ashley rocked the silver-grey carpet in a strikingly cool x-ray abstract silk crop top and skirt by J. Mendel that’s made up of vibrant shades of purple and fuchsia. This funky Spring 2013 ensemble was the perfect look to suit the hip “Revenge” actress.  I’m totally in love with this outfit, and the way Ash passed on typical black pumps in favor of strappy hot pink “Neuron” sandals by Christian Louboutin with crystal detail.  She completed her look with a sleek high ponytail, flawless makeup, and a black clutch to balance it all out.

It’s been a little while, but Camilla Belle was back out on the non-red carpet last night to celebrate the premiere of “American Masters Inventing David Geffen” in Beverly Hills where she rocked a fun mixed-print asymmetric dress by Preen.

The 26-year-old beauty wore a look from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection; one of my favorite dresses, in fact—the navy and white colorblock “Tindra” dress with lace and sheer panels. It looked good on the runway, but I think it looks even better on Camilla. | continue reading..

It was a quite the swanky affair last night when the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills quickly filled up with some of the most talented ladies (and fellas) in Tinseltown as they came together to help honor their fellow actors at ELLE Magazine’s annual Women In Hollywood event.

Ellie Kemper kept it chic in an ivory Moschino peplum cocktail dress with a ruffled neckline, from the Fall 2011 collection. I really love that she added some color to her look with deep red accessories. She carried a patent clutch with matching pumps before topping it all off with 18k white gold earrings with rubies and diamonds from Katerina Maxine.

“Glee” actress Naya Rivera also opted for a Fall 2011 dress by Moschino; a yellow cream sleeveless shift dress with light pin-tucking at the waist. She also opted for red accessories, including a gold and bordeaux tube clutch that she partnered with velvet open toe platform Tory Burch pumps. We should have known that Kiernan Shipka’s Emmys dress was going to be just as darling as it was considering how cute her pre-Emmy wardrobe had been. The “Mad Men” little lady continues to be one of the best dressed actors in young Hollywood.

Kiernan hit the purple carpet at Scarpetta last weekend for the Variety and Women In Film Pre-Emmy event wearing a little black “Carissa” dress by Kate Spade New York.

The zip-front sleeveless collared top connected to a full A-line skirt that hit just above her knees. While her David Yurman jewelry definitely dazzled, Kiernan put a relaxed and youthful touch on the evening wear with a pair of grey socks and red-and-black patent lace up oxford heels.

Because, at 12-years-old — you can totally get away with that.

The beautiful red carpet pro hit the scarlet rug last night at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 launch party looking very chic in a black dress with a floral pattern.

Camilla arrived in a sleeveless midnight a-line cocktail dress from the Resort 2013 collection by Jason Wu, one of her favorite designers. The lovely tea-length design featured beautiful scattered white floral embroidery along the scalloped hem of the skirt and a black thin belt at the natural waist. | continue reading..

For the first time ever, SELENA GOMEZ covers the July issue of ELLE Magazine — lens by Carter Smith.

The 19-year-old actress-turned-popstar has been the subject of many tabloid chatter, mostly centering around her highly publicized relationship with Justin Bieber, but also due to her burgeoning pop music career, a debut signature fragrance and two upcoming movies — the animated “Hotel Transylvania” and next year’s “Spring Breakers”, where Selena more than sheds her Disney girl image.

Not only did she make her ELLE debut, but she did it twice over with a special double issue. For the bright yellow glossy cover, with her name written boldy across her body, Joe Zee styled Selena in a printed tunic from the Fall 2012 collection by Balmain as her long beachy waves, courtesy of hairstylist Harry Josh, cascaded over her shoulders.

Krysten Ritter rocked the red carpet last night when she attended the Hollywood premiere of HBO’s “True Blood” Season 5 in an amazing Alexander McQueen dress!

The 30-year-old actress selected this short sleeve black dress with a patent leather trimmed asymmetric opening at the neckline, as well as the side of her pencil cut skirt.

The shiny borders, also featured at the waist, were embellished with tiny studs..
