The annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala is arguably the biggest fashion event of the year, and this time around, the fête honored the opening of the PUNK: Chaos to Couture exhibition with a punk-themed party. “Warm Bodies” actress TERESA PALMER hit the red carpet in a dress to match, which was custom-designed for her by Diane von Furstenberg.

Although the plunging neck gown and dazzling diamonds were much more on the glamorous side, the Australian beauty didn’t hold back when it came to her makeup and hair.

TRESemmé Celebrity Stylist JOHN D. gave Teresa’s long golden mane a mussed appearance before sharply braiding one side. It was a cool faux attempt at the trendy-yet-edgy half-shaved head look, which instantly gave her locks a toughened up twist. As for her makeup, JO BAKER gave Teresa bold “bad gal brows” that were complimented by a dewy complexion and glossy taupe lips.

MY VERDICT: Despite wearing a very bold lipstick red gown by Diane von Furstenberg, it was actually Teresa’s darkened eyebrows that I noticed first. I mean, how can you not? That being said, the “Warm Bodies” actress looked gorgeous in the sexy plunging neck gown that was custom made for her.

The eyebrows take some getting use to–unlike her hair, which looked amazing. Teresa left her long golden blonde tresses out in power waves while having the side braided in. MY VERDICT: As if I couldn’t be more excited for spring weather to finally arrive and this 38 degree craziness to disappear, Selena just had to wear this adorable Oscar de la Renta outfit to the Kids’ Choice Awards!  The “Spring Breakers” starlet was thinking along the same lines as Kristen Stewart and opted for comfortable, yet dressed up, shorts.  Selena selected a pretty pale turquoise silk gazar peplum top with white textured cotton linen shorts from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection.  A similar embellished pink ensemble was seen on the runway as well as a white version of her top.

Busy Philipps proudly displayed her growing belly in a custom made Gabriela Cadena navy blue long sleeve silk dress.  The “Cougar Town” actress, who recently announced her second pregnancy added some boldness to her look with a colorful one-of-a-kind Irene Neuwirth statement necklace and a matching embellished clutch by Judith Leiber.  A scarlet red lip, gathered mane and Brian Atwood “Stearling” shoes were the finishing touches.

Alexis Bledel like Jessica Pare, the 31-year-old actress also opted to wear a brilliant shade of emerald green at the SAGs this year. I love the color and pleated detailing of her structured Rena Lange dress, and the way her beautiful vintage House of Lavende colorful crystal necklace sat amongst the deep v-neckline. After a red carpet premiere in Australia last week, it was off to the next location for Bèrènice Marlohe when she stepped out solo for the premiere of “Skyfall” in Tokyo, Japan tonight at the Toho Cinemas Nichigeki cinema.

Brightening up the night, Bèrènice flaunted her curves in a Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress, from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection.
