WHO: Elizabeth Banks
WHERE & WHEN: 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala – PUNK: Chaos to Couture on May 6, 2013.
WEARING: Atelier Versace dress, Brian Atwood shoes and clutch & Kara Ross jewelry.

MY VERDICT: I was looking forward to seeing what “Catching Fire” star Elizabeth Banks was going to wear the MET ball this year. I had hoped for a dress by Versace, and that’s what Liz ended up going for–although it wasn’t from the Fall 2013 collection that I thought we’d see a lot of, but from the Spring 2013 Atelier line.

Liz hit the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art wearing the shimmering gold metallic tuxedo jacket mini dress. | continue reading..

2012 Style Verdicts: Red Carpet Moments – The Guilty

2012 Style Verdicts: Red Carpet Moments - The Guilty

For the stars who made occasional unlawful style choices—or were simply staight up repeat offenders.

1. Ke$ha

Oh, don’t tell me you’re surprised by this. I like a few of Ke$ha’s songs, and I can appreciate that as a dance artist she likes to take it over the top—but, some things should never be worn together. Over the last twelve months, the “Die Young” singer has worn some absolutely ridiculous get ups. I liked her galaxy blazer she wore during a concert in December and her side braided hair looked cool, and then….everything else happened.

2012 Style Verdicts: Red Carpet Moments – The Innocent

2012 Style Verdicts: Red Carpet Moments - The Innocent

It’s that time again! 2012 was a big year in style, and it felt almost nearly impossible to pick the most fashionable stars—but it had to be done. There were a lot of fabulous moments, but not every star stayed consistent. For my year end countdown below, I selected 20 celebrities—male and female, that I felt stood out the most. Did any of your favorites make the cut?

20. Joseph Gordon-Levitt
There was no slow start to a year of style for Joseph, who kicked his red carpet moments off with a dapper look at the Golden Globe Awards in January. I really liked the satin trim of his tuxedo, but it was obviously the printed bow tie that stole the show. Throughout the next twelve months, JGL continued to thrive with his choices that were filled with character; from pinstripes to a totally fashion-forward chocolate velvet tartan Alexander McQueen suit for a talk show appearance. I particularly liked the way he partnered a three piece navy suit with a coordinating plaid shirt. Seriously, how could he not make this list?

In addition to Kerry Washington and Bella Heathcote, several of your favorite ladies from the small and silver screen stepped out yesterday morning for the annual “Power 100: Women In Entertainment” breakfast thrown by The Hollywood Reporter! In a sea of pretty printed dresses, bright colors, funky shoes and animal print it was hard to pick a favorite, but now that The Fashion Court has this cool, quick run-down—it should make things a tad bit easier!

Ashley Madekwe: The “Revenge” actress brightened up her dark accessories for the early event by slipping on this drop-waist BCBGMAXAZRIA “Astra” ruffled hem mini dress in Gardenia. When you have great gams—you should totally show them off! Ashley put focus on hers with the added help of black peep toe boots from Hervé Léger by Max Azria before topping her look off with red nails and side swept waves. | continue reading..

Elizabeth Banks in Preen | “Pitch Perfect” LA Photocall

Elizabeth Banks was pretty in a garden pattern when she attended the press conference and photocall to promote “Pitch Perfect” last month in Los Angeles. Not only does the funny girl star in the film about competitive a capella college groups, but Elizabeth also co-produced it with Paul Brooks.

The 38-year-old actress looked polished in a short sleeve red crepe dress by Preen, an off-runway look from the Fall/Winter 2012 collection, that includes a notched belt at the waist and a pocket skirt covered in bold colorful prints of butterflies and fruit. | continue reading..

Elizabeth Banks in Antonio Berardi | “CONAN”

Elizabeth Banks was a guest on “CONAN” this weekend where Conan O’Brien told her that she looked like candy in her outfit. He was pretty much right when it came to Elizabeth’s beige and neon yellow body-con cocktail dress from Antonio Berardi.

The “Pitch Perfect” star selected her dress from the Resort 2013 collection, which featured the fluro color going down the sides in a body-curving illusion and a bright blue stripe down the back to frame the zipper. The colors reminded me of the famous “Candy Buttons” — without the pink. Unless you took her lip color into account, which was a shiny fuchsia. | continue reading..

Elizabeth Banks in Alexander McQueen | “Pitch Perfect” Hollywood Premiere

Elizabeth Banks was looking hot from head-to-toe last night at the Hollywood premiere of her new movie “Pitch Perfect”, a musical comedy I can’t wait to see! It hits theaters on October 5th, by the way. Just sayin’.

She was clad in a sexy solid black satin version of the peep bustier cocktail dress from the Resort 2013 collection by Alexander McQueen with a pencil cut skirt. I’m glad she didn’t wear the belt as the metallic element would have clashed with her cool clutch!

Elizabeth carried a gold mirrored “Shalimar” geometric clutch by Rauwolf. I’m obsessed with these bags. | continue reading..

The Ritz Hotel was crawling with stars today in Paris, France as front row seats filled quickly for the Fall 2012 Haute-Couture fashion show for Versace, held during Paris Fashion Week.

After completing promo for “People Like Us” in NYC, Elizabeth Banks was spotted in a silver-grey sleeveless sheath dress with metallic elements from the Fall 2012 collection. With an unkempt up ‘do, she accessorized with a silver clutch and matching suede platform FW12 pumps.

Jessica Alba wore the same pumps in black to compliment her Fall 2012 crystal-encrusted black leather strapless cocktail dress. | continue reading..

Elizabeth Banks in Alexander McQueen | “Fox & Friends”

It’s no surprise that I’m totally in love with nearly every single thing that Elizabeth Banks wears. I’m always so fascinated by the colorful looks she puts together with her stylists; they’re never boring — even if they don’t necessarily “match”.

On Tuesday afternoon, Elizabeth was spotted leaving Fox Studios in New York City, after appearing on “Fox & Friends” to promote her new movie “People Like Us”  wearing a beautiful sleeveless red plissé dress by Alexander McQueen.

The dress nips a little at the waist to create a soft and textured a-line silhouette. I adore the way Elizabeth played it up with an ox brass heavy metal “Stella” bib necklace from Dannijo — with a delicate bow detail at the center. | continue reading..
