MY VERDICT: Ah, I was so close! Elle did, in fact, wear a tie-dye Rodarte gown from the Fall 2013 collection although it was a slightly different version of the dress I predicted for her. I guess she was more in favor of the 3D double-faced white foam bib than floral embroideries. It was clear that the 15-year-old actress was having fun with her look, and that’s what the fashion at the gala is all about. The biggest fashion event of the year is finally here! The red carpet will be filled with all types of punk rock glam this Monday night for the 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala where your favorite heavy-hitters in fashion, music, film and television will mingle at the stylish fête. Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci will be hosting the VOGUE soirèe that has been officially themed “PUNK: Chaos to Couture” to honor the latest exhibition at the mueseum.

MY VERDICT: Let’s face it, you’re never going to get something ordinary when it comes to Elle’s red carpet look. At only fourteen years old this girl takes more chances than half of Hollywood, and I love her for it.  Last night she slipped into a Chanel white strapless dress with flower appliqués, from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection, which fell to her ankles.  I can’t say that I like the fit because the dress looks like a blanket, but Elle pulled it off. I wouldn’t try and change her interests, but this isn’t something I’d want her to wear—and I think it’s mostly due to the shoes. I just don’t like the shoes at all.  I think a sandal in the green color featured in the dress would have been a nice option. | continue reading..

Oh, don’t tell me you’re surprised by this. I like a few of Ke$ha’s songs, and I can appreciate that as a dance artist she likes to take it over the top—but, some things should never be worn together. Over the last twelve months, the “Die Young” singer has worn some absolutely ridiculous get ups. I liked her galaxy blazer she wore during a concert in December and her side braided hair looked cool, and then….everything else happened.

Elle Fanning made a glamorous red carpet entrance tonight when she stepped out for the 2012 British Independent Film Awards in London wearing a beautiful Oscar de la Rentagown.

The 14-year-old actress looked very grown up in the Spring 2013 light pink silk organza embroidered gown, which featured a tank styled bodice and a retro 1960s raised hemline.  We’ve been seeing a lot of this style on the stars lately. Remember Nina Dobrev’s stunning look at the Toronto Film Festival back in September?  I can’t say that I dislike the trend; it’s a very refreshing take on the ball gown while being much classier than the severe “mullet” silhouette I’ve been hoping would die out. | continue reading..

Forever being the life of the party at any event, Elle stepped out at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live rocking a head-turning full ensemble from the Spring 2013 collection by Prada. The 14-year-old starlet wore a petal pink double faced satin duchesse top, skirt and apron with a flat bow that she partnered with the ultra-bold satin double platform ‘flatforms’. | continue reading..

Elle Fanning was back out again to promote “Ginger and Rosa” on Thursday night following the AFI FEST premiere the previous evening. After sporting a floor-length bright green mini striped gown, the 14-year-old starlet opted for a shorter hemline and a bold neck-tie for the screening at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills.

Elle Fanning is always fun to watch for on the red carpet, because you never really know what you’re going to get.

Last night, the 14-year-old actress wore Oscar de la Renta as she joined her costars Christina Hendricks and Alice Englert at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre for the AFI FEST 2012 special screening of their movie “Ginger and Rosa”. Elle has been traveling all over the globe promoting the film, but this marked the second major event in the U.S.

Elle arrived in a minty green and white strapless capri stripe silk faille full length gown, from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection.
