MY VERDICT: After opting for a fun deep red ensemble earlier today for “The Bling Ring” photocall, Emma Watson hit the red carpet to celebrate the premiere during the Cannes Film Festival looking diving in black and white Chanel. The 23-year-old English actress joined her costars while wearing a long off-white Spring 2013 Haute Couture silk crepon dress with a sparkling black embroidered sequined bustier.

It was young but refined, and Emma carried herself so effortlessly in it. Soft smoky eyes and a twisted up-do with straying pieces in the front helped complete Emma’s premiere look. As for jewelry, she loaded up on diamond studs and small hoop earrings.

This may not have been on my Wish List for Emma, but it surpassed my expectations completely. I loved it.

MY VERDICT: I must admit that “The Bling Ring” was one of the movies I highly-anticipated covering at the Cannes Film Festival this year. I just adore Emma Watson, and I was pretty eager to see what she would wear for the press events. After rocking a casually chic Louis Vuitton jacket and skirt while hitting the interview circuit yesterday, the English actress joined her costars for the photocall late this morning in an adorable bordeaux Christopher Kane crop top and matching skirt.

The two-piece silk duchesse ensemble comes from the designer’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection; it features matching burgundy silk petals that line the bottom of the top as well as the panels of the a-line skirt.

I think this was the perfect daytime look for Emma. The style fit her petite figure and eclectic attitude towards fashion while also being a gorgeous and rich color against her complexion. I also love the fact that she brought the crop tops to the French Riviera in a youthful yet elegant way. I think the shoes could be better suited, but black classic pumps were her footwear of choice.

This look was complete with a swept up-do and minimal makeup.

OMG it’s that time of year again—the 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival kicks off tomorrow! It’s officially time to prepare yourself for gorgeous gowns, and let’s face it, questionable choices. Some of my favorite red carpet dresses have been debuted during the prestigious film festival, so I’m looking forward to seeing which repeat attendees will continue their “WOW” streak and who will end up surprising us all. In the meantime, I’ve compiled a list of dresses I hope to see on the stars who are expected to attend.

I have a bit of a soft spot for this particular wish list as the festival last year was the first event I ever did one for.

MY VERDICT: Wowza! Emma bared some serious skin when she hit the MET red carpet for the punk-themed gala wearing a custom black version of a crossover cutaway Prabal Gurung gown with a high slit, from the designer’s Fall 2013 collection. I’m not going to lie, I’m a bit bummed that she didn’t wear that vibrant green mini I had in mind for her, but I’m not disappointed with her chosen dress either. The “Perks of Being a Wallflower” didn’t exactly capture “punk”, and yet she still looked cool.

The biggest fashion event of the year is finally here! The red carpet will be filled with all types of punk rock glam this Monday night for the 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala where your favorite heavy-hitters in fashion, music, film and television will mingle at the stylish fête. Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci will be hosting the VOGUE soirèe that has been officially themed “PUNK: Chaos to Couture” to honor the latest exhibition at the mueseum.

MY VERDICT: Let’s face it, Emma Watson looks adorable is just about anything she wears. The “Bling Ring” actress arrived in a black and white cutout halterneck silk-satin cocktail dress from the Fall 2013 collection by Maxime Simoëns, which featured blue and silver x-ray prints along the bust and hem. As far as the transition from runway-to-red carpet goes—I prefer the melt belt on the model as it added a bit of rock ‘n roll edge to the catwalk. I’m a total fan of the lace-up black Proenza Schouler cutout booties she sported, but I was bored with the hairstyle.

Emma looked cute but although the dresses were similar–as far as a cool structure and bold color go, I don’t believe she was able to top the colorful bold pattern that she rocked for MTV last year.

Emma Watson continued promotion for her movie “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” this week when she appeared on “The Ellen Show” today looking ridiculously cool in a Prabal Gurung printed dress.

The 22-year-old English cutie discussed the differences between British and American guys while clad in a plunging neck a-line dress from Gurung’s Resort 2013 Collection. Emma Watson wore head-to-toe Calvin Klein Collection last night when she celebrated ELLE’s 19th annual Women In Hollywood celebration in Beverly Hills along with half of Hollywood, or so it seemed.

The 22-year-old “Perks of Being a Wallflower” actress hit the white carpet at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles wearing a Spring 2013 black layered satin mini dress with a sleeveless nude yoke. I think she looked even better in it than the model as it appeared a bit overwhelming and boxy on the catwalk, yet ended up being perfectly suited for Em’s petite figure. | continue reading..
