MY VERDICT: Oh, Jessica was such a beautiful fresh breath of air today!  The “Zero Dark Thirty” nominated actress brightened up the red carpet at the annual Oscar nominee luncheon wearing a lovely floral embroidered navy and pink “Anna” dress from the Resort 2013 collection by Erdem. The cotton-blend cocktail dress features a scattered confection of contrast flower appliqués, a blending belted waist, and lace three-quarter length sleeves with scalloped edges. Spring can’t come soon enough!

This is such a sweet and flattering pick for Jessica—she always looks great in botanical patterns!  She punched up her pout with a peony lip color to match her dress while vibrant red tresses cascaded down her shoulder.  | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: I’m completely in love with the latest Erdem floral designs in the Pre-Fall 2013 collection, so I’ve been waiting to see which one would be debuted first on the red carpet this season.  I have to say that it was a bit anti-climatic when Anne donned this pretty strapless number last night for the Producers Guild Awards.  It’s kind of a weird thing because I still like the dress, and the pairing of yellow-gold custom vegan strappy Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and a navy Christian Louboutin satin evening bag were great additions to pull color from the dress.

Maybe it’s the way she’s standing, but there’s something off. I can’t put my finger on it. Is the look too young? Is it the hair, or does she just simply need something with straps?  Maybe this silhouette was best suited for her “Les Misèrables” costar.

MY VERDICT: I think Sienna actually looks even more beautiful than she did before she gave birth to her daughter Marlowe last year.  The 31-year-old English actress looked so lovely in her colorful flower appliqué Erdem gown last night. This crop top and column full-length skirt was custom made for Sienna, but was inspired by the designs featured in the Spring 2013 collection.  Considering we’re in the heart of the coldest time of the year right now, the spring vibe from Sienna’s look just further increased my impatience for the warmer days ahead.  With a swept up hairstyle and soft makeup, her pretty look was complete.

KRISTEN STEWART‘s latest sheer dress at the recent premiere for “On The Road” caught a lot of mixed reviews, but one thing that should be unanimously agreed upon is that her makeup was quite captivating.  CHANEL celebrity makeup artist Beau Nelson gave the star feisty “cat eyes” that were a throwback to the popular beauty look of the 1960s!

“For the New York City premiere, I wanted to create a sexy cat eye that was a bit 60s and modernize it with a sheer soft pink lip.” Beau explained his vision for Kristen’s beauty look, “I wanted her to look cool not but not too ‘done’.”

These two tend to push the beauty envelope a little bit more whenever they work together — especially when it comes to Kristen’s eyes!  She has been known to rock ruby shadow, intense indigo and recently went for a powerful smoky eye.

Although The Fashion Court has been the biggest fan of Beau’s violet berry smoky shimmer that he did on Kristen for the 2010 screening of “Eclipse” — this latest look might be competition!

Kristen Stewart pointed out that she’s just not done with sheer dresses tonight when she attended the New York premiere of “On The Road”. Just last night she attended a special screening for the movie in sexy sheer stripes!

I usually have some pom-poms out waving when reviewing Kristen’s red carpet looks—figuratively speaking—because I like the chances she takes, and they usually pay off. I wish that were the case tonight but, sadly, it wasn’t.

The 22-year-old arrived at the SVA Theater to join her costars wearing a Erdem ice blue bralette and matching high-waist shorts under a sheer bead-embellished overlay, from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection. | continue reading..

Sarah Jessica Parker joined Gerard Butler on stage tonight at the Oslo Spektrum in Norway as the two hosted the annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert in style.

While Gerard suited up in dark grey, the 47-year-old actress opted for a beautiful long-sleeve light blue embroidered floor-length dress by Erdem, which comes from the latest Spring/Summer 2013 collection and features a sassy peek-a-boo illusion panel at the waist and a slit in the column skirt.

I just adore this dress, and I found it to be a lovely choice for SJP. Her hair looked nice styled in long waves—although it’s a change from how we usually see her hair. I can’t be too sure by the angle of the photo, but could it be that she actually went a bit lighter on the eyeliner? I think she emphasized pale blue shadow and toned down the heavy black. At least, I hope so.

She completed her look with jewelry from Fred Leighton.

Keira Knightley stunned on the red carpet last night for the Hollywood premiere of “Anna Karenina” wearing a bespoke mint green strapless gown by Erdem with a high-rise full train, hidden pockets and pretty blue floral embroidery along the bust and hem.

This dress was inspired by the short cocktail version that was presented with the Spring/Summer 2013 collection.  How is that Kiera can continuously pull off these “princess” looks while they appear so overdone and costume-like on other people?  | continue reading..

Ashley Greene was passed the torch on Thursday when she took over the next appearance on the global press tour to support “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″, the final movie in the five-film franchise based off the beloved vampire romance series by author Stephenie Meyer.

Ashley’s costars Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart attended events earlier in the week.

For her first appearance since becoming a red head, the 25-year-old actress arrived at a photocall in Johannesburg, South Africa wearing a mature navy blue a-line “Vivienne” dress by Erdem (available online at selfridges.com), which featured a petal vine embroidered sleeveless top and a full belted skirt.

While this isn’t a look from my wish list, it stays within her classic tastes and allowed for her curly Little Mermaid tresses to stand out.  I’ll be honest in saying that I wish Ash had worn one of the sleek dresses from the Resort 2013 collection to show off her toned figure. I’m not really into the fullness of the skirt as I feel like she lost her shape a bit.

This look was complete with black Brian Atwood “Maniac” leather pumps.

LOVE IT or HATE IT?

I know the old saying goes “the third time is the charm”, but I believe it was the second time for Mary Elizabeth Winstead when she opted for another dress by Erdem to wear to the premiere of “Smashed”, held during the 20th Hamptons International Film Festival in East Hampton, New York on Thursday evening.

Mary selected a beautiful multicolored painted floral patterned dress from the Resort 2013 collection with three-quarter length sleeves and a mid-length hem. I love the way the dark navy mixes with bright bubblegum pink. | continue reading..

Michelle Dockery rocked lace on the red carpet on Friday night for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Performer Nominees’ 64th Primetime Emmy Awards Reception.

The English “Downton Abbey” actress selected a black lace long-sleeve cocktail dress from the Fall 2012 collection by Erdem, which featured sheer sleeves, a darker lining at the bodice with a bright fuchsia knee-length skirt.
