WHERE & WHEN: 65th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 22, 2013.
WEARING: Armani Privé dress, Rauwolf clutch & Norman Silverman jewelry.
MY VERDICT: Ashley joined her “Pretty Little Liars” costars Shay Mitchell, Lucy Hale, and Troian Bellisario at the Teen Choice Awards last night wearing a playful mix of colors and textures. The 23-year-old wore a trendy black Bec & Bridge “Tyra” crop top partnered with a blue silk peplum Giorgio Armani skirt featuring a crystal flower appliqué overlay. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Milla joined stars like Michael Pitt, Kristen Stewart, and Rose Byrne this morning to celebrate Karl Lagerfeld’s new Fall 2013 Haute Couture collection for CHANEL. The 37-year-old model/actress got dolled up, but kept it comfortable, when she arrived at the Grand Palais in a cream knit top and seamed striped jeans–both from the Cruise 2014 Collection. It’s not everyday you see a woman pull off an extremely wide-legged pant, especially with a drop waist, but I thought this was kind of fun on Milla. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Hayden looked adorably chic when she joined her boyfriend, Ukrainian heavyweight professional boxer, Wladimir Klitschko at the Giorgio Armani Spring 2014 Menswear fashion show last week in Milan, Italy. The petite “Nashville” star worked her own menswear-inspired look when she stepped out in a sleeveless embellish dove grey vest with double sequined black bow appliques that she partnered with slim-fitting black trousers. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: There was barely any rest time since walking the Cannes Film Festival red carpet several times last month, but Milla was dressed in her golden best when she hit the black carpet for the “One Night Only” Roma event hosted by Giorgio Armani in Italy. The “Resident Evil: Retribution” actress wore a golden peach halterneck silk cocktail dress from the Armani Privé Spring 2013 Haute Couture collection, which features a strappy halterneck held together with a barrel detail. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: I may have had Naomi pegged for jewel-tone color at the Oscars this year, but the “Impossible” actress was thinking more along the lines of shimmering metals. Naomi hit the garnet carpet for the ceremony, where she was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role, wearing a custom-made Armani Privé gown. The form-fitting asymmetric design was enveloped in layered gunmetal grey sequins, and featured a single cap sleeve, a cutaway element on the opposite side, and a sexy low-dipping open back.
All in all, I thought the dress was cool—but something felt off, like it needed to either be strapless or cap-sleeved entirely. As for Naomi’s hair, she was one of the few stars who really did something with it and I appreciated that. The loose swept back chignon was stunning, but I believe it would’ve been best with a much more regal gown. It’s as if she was wearing two different looks. Soft makeup and Neil Lane drop earrings helped provide the finishing touches.
