MY VERDICT: Lena joined her “Girls” costars for the red carpet celebration of their second season in NYC where she opted for an on-trend jumpsuit by Valentino. The 26-year-old actress rocked the strapless black tuxedo one piece with tech suiting, slim fitting legs, and a white contrast band across the top of the bodice that transforms into a dramatic oversize bow at the back. I’m a big fan of jumpsuits, and this is has been one of my favorites since I saw Gwyneth Paltrow wear it at her 40th birthday party last year.

I think the style suits Lena’s laid-back and cool personality, but I don’t think this jumpsuit was her best choice. It was ill-fitting from start to finish and seemed to appear uncomfortable. This is supposed to have a slouchy appearance, but it’s too loose in some areas and the opposite in others here. Sometimes it’s not about what you’re wearing, but how you’re wearing it–and if it doesn’t look like it fits, it’s definitely not going to highlight you in the best way.

Light makeup and a perfectly unkempt pixie finished Lena’s premiere look.

Allison Williams promoted the second season of her hit HBO drama “Girls” yesterday with an appearance on the MuchMusic show “New.Music.Live.” in Toronto, Canada.  The 25-year-old actress wore a sassy strapless ruby red textured mini dress by J. Mendel, which is piped all over in a dark metallic grey; it comes from the Resort 2013 collection by designer Gilles Mendel.

I liked the shiny patent element when it was presented with the lookbook, but judging by these photos of Allison, I feel like it lost that factor on her.  | continue reading..

“Girls” actress Zosia Mamet made quite the statement on the Emmy Awards red carpet last night.

The 24-year-old starlet arrived at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live wearing a black and white panel gown from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection by Bibhu Mohapatra, which featured a sheer inset at the chest, exaggerated cap-sleeves and lacy cutaway detail at both sides of her skirt.

“Girls” star Lena Dunham hit the red carpet last night for the Primetime Emmy Awards, where she was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy series.

The 26-year-old actress opted for lace when it came to her Emmys dress. Lena arrived at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live wearing head-to-toe Prada, which included a navy brodee lace short-sleeved backless gown that was lined with sky blue silk faille.

She accessorized with black suede slingback platform pumps and a navy duchesse envelope clutch.

This ladylike look was topped off with thick lined smoky eyes, diamond jewelry and soft swept hair.

The “Girls” actress will be attending the Primetime Emmy Awards tomorrow night in a elegant gown, but she partied the evening away last night in a lively cocktail look by Oscar de la Renta. Allison donned a shocking pink floral guipure lace tank and wool stretch pencil skirt from the designer’s recently debuted Spring/Summer 2013 collection.

ALLISON WILLIAMS, one of your favorite gals from HBO’s “Girls”, officially kicked off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week last night when she joined Project Runway alum, Christian Siriano at the opening of his new boutique in New York City.

Allison was dressed to the nines in a Siriano white asymmetric cocktail dress and a glossy garnet pout.

Naturally, she needed a chic finish to her look with a sleek hairstyle. Insert hair magician Ted Gibson!

It feels like out of nowhere Lena Dunham burst out onto the scene and now she’s practically the talk of the town due to the success of her hit new HBO series “Girls”.

The 25-year-old actress was dressed by Wes Gordon for her MET Gala debut on Monday evening in NYC where she wore a forrest green mullet dress from Gordon’s Fall 2012 collection.

During the presentation the lining of the sleeveless design was a bright orange color, but Gordon customized Lena’s dress to feature a lighter blue. This backdrop allowed for Lena’s neon pink pumps to really stand out.

She finished off her look by partly pinning back her curly tresses.

Allison Williams, who stars on the series as Marnie Michaels, stepped out on the pink carpet last night for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s ‘Hot Pink Party’ in NYC.
