MY VERDICT: I couldn’t imagine Blake missing the annual gala this year considering her new releationship with Gucci as the face of the Gucci Première women’s fragrance. The 25-year-old former “Gossip Girl” actress arrived on the red carpet wearing a dramatic Gucci Première pale green silk georgette strapless gown with silver and matte black feather motif embroideries. The smooth bodice highlighted Blake’s figure before the gown turned into heavy layers of black organza that cascaded into a full train.

Did Blake stick with the PUNK: Chaos to Couture theme? I don’t think so. However, this dress is a work of art and she looked beautiful wearing it. Having a eye-catching gown didn’t limit the things that Blake was willing to do with the rest of her look, and that’s why she opted for smoky eyes, long chain earrings from Lorraine Schwartz, and a long bubble binding ponytail that reminded me of Princess Jasmine from Disney’s “Aladdin”.

Overall, I found the choice to be absolutely perfect for the MET ball–just not this year.

MY VERDICT: Most of us have all seen Charlize’s new pixie cut in candid photos of the actress out and about in Los Angeles, but it’s clear that you can consider the Cinema For Peace Gala as the official red carpet debut of her super short locks.  The 37-year-old had buzzed off her longer mane for a new role in “Mad Max: Fury Road”.  Proving that she can rock any hairstyle thrown her way, Charlize stunned with slicked back tresses and dark raspberry lips while clad in a blush satin strapless Gucci Première gown.  The slim floor-length design features a wrapped silhouette, which was fastened with a crystal appliqué at the waist.  Personally, I like her hair now when it’s spiked up a bit, but I understand that this particular formal event called for something a little more polished.  She finished the look by complimenting the sparkling hip element with Tiffany & Co. diamond bangles and a nude satin strass “Broadway” long clutch, also from Gucci. | continue reading..

As Gucci‘s latest recruit, Blake Lively took some time out of filming the final season of “Gossip Girl” to make a quick stop in Venice, Italy last night. The 25-year-old actress attended a special launch dinner in honor of the chic new Gucci Première fragrance — for which she is ‘the face’ of.

The event was held at the Hotel Cipriani during the 2012 Venice International Film Festival.

I pegged Blake for a sparkling dress, for sure, and while I should have assumed that she would opt for a short number to show off her famous mile-long gams — I was kind of hoping for a longer hem.

With that said, I loved the oxblood color of her Gucci mini cocktail dress as well as the shimmering pailette embellishments — especially the larger appliqués along the plunging neckline. | continue reading..

Blake Lively made a stunning arrival at the SVA Theater last night in New York City to attended the NYC premiere of her new movie “Savages”, along with the director Oliver Stone.

The 24-year-old blonde beauty, and new face of the Gucci Première women’s fragrance, wore a one-of-a-kind Gucci pale yellow pleated silk georgette halter neck gown, which featured an open back and a gathered sash waist. The sunny color practically vibrated off of Blake’s summer tan complexion.

The 45-year-old actress looked gorgeous when she stepped out on the red carpet at the Mann Village Theatre wearing a striking emerald green, fully embroidered sleeveless silk georgette evening gown from the Gucci Première collection. The color practically vibrated off her medium complexion.

This fall may be the kick off of the final season of her hit television show “Gossip Girl”, but Blake Lively is keeping her summer busy and eventful with a new movie and a hot new fragrance campaign with Gucci!

The chic Italian fashion house announced today that the 24-year-old actress would be the face of the new Gucci Première fragrance for women, and will star in a short film directed by Nicolas Winding Refn to promote the House’s scent.

Frida Giannini, Gucci’s Creative Director spoke out about having Blake represent the fragrance, “In conceiving this fragrance I was inspired by timeless Hollywood glamour and the iconic leading ladies of Hollywood’s golden era. Jessica Chastain made a dazzling entrance on the red carpet at Palais des Festivals for the 2012 Cannes Film Festival premiere of her film “Lawless” tonight.

Donned in a shimmering  blush chiffon evening gown from the Gucci Première couture collection, Jessica’s creation featured  a gathered v-neck, high waist and full skirt embroidered with rectangular metallic bronze, nude and transparent palettes in a degrade effect throughout the bodice and cascading down the skirt. | continue reading..

Gemma Arterton was one of the many lovely women on the red carpet last night during the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival wearing Gucci.

The 26-year-old English actress attended the premiere of “Once Upon A Time” at Palais des Festivals wearing a striking Gucci Première tulle floor length sleeveless v-neck gown featuring an all over linear embroidery of oyster grey crystals and beads.

It would have been nice to see Gemma’s thick hair down in pretty curls with this, but I liked her twisted and swept up ‘do.

She finished off her look with a cherry red manicure, a pair of Gucci black velvet high heeled evening sandals and 18kt yellow gold diamantissima drop earrings.

Jennifer Connelly joined her costars from “Once Upon A Time” as she stepped out for the 2012 Cannes Film Festival premiere wearing head-to-toe black.

The 41-year-old actress donned a Gucci Première black silk crepe strapless gown, which included a cross panel detail along the bodice wrapping around to a pleated train with.

Salma Hayek-Pinault hit the Cannes red carpet for yet another year in a gown from the Gucci Première collection.

The 45-year-old actress attended the premiere of “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted” wearing a beautiful floor length fully embroidered gown of overlapping deep aubergine coloured cuvettes, with a degrade of beading opening onto layers of nude tulle at the lower part of skirt.

Say that ten times fast.

Salma looked absolutely divine. The dress was fit to her hourglass figure perfectly; it was tight and loose in all the right areas. Most of all, she looked comfortable in it.

Her eye make-up was a  bit too heavy, but I loved the rust-red glossy pout and her gathered hairstyle of tousled waves.

Salma completed her look with a Gucci pale blush satin evening clutch and a pair of matching high heel sandals.
