Cover Girl: Emma Stone’s Intergalactic Style for Interview’s September Fashion Issue!

Cover Girl: Emma Stone's Electric 1980's Style for Interview's September Fashion Issue!Photographed by Mikael Jansson for Interview; Styling: Karl Templer; Make-Up: Mark Carrasquillo; Hair: Paul Hanlon; Manicure: Deborah Lippmann
Holy moly!

EMMA STONE is quite literally ‘out-of-this-world’ for the September cover of Interview Magazine, which is dubbed “The Fashion Issue”. Mikael Jansson photographed the “Gangster Squad” actress in a series of nightclub and alleyway locations that look like they are set in the 1980s — in outer space! Seriously, this editorial is trippy and fabulous!

Karl Templer styled Emma in various bad-ass threads from the Fall/Winter 2012 runways by Christopher Kane, Lanvin, Versace, Balenciaga, Haider Ackermann and YSL, while hairstylist Paul Hanlon gave her an extraterrestrial-inspired sleek hairstyle to compliment her intense smoky eyes — courtesy of makeup artist  Mark Carrasquillo.

Director and producer Cameron Crowe interviewed Emma for the issue, where she opened up about all of her acting gigs, her first heartbreak, her public image, her likes and dislikes — and much, much more.

Her thoughts on expressing herself in interviews: “In general I get nervous when I do print interviews because I know that whatever I say is going to be shown through the lens of whomever I’m talking to. So I’ve read a lot of different versions of myself—and all of them are true because it’s all opinion and they’re as accurate as it can ever be. But I don’t think that I’ve been deft at hiding parts of my personality. I have not mentioned parts of my life, for sure—although I have talked about my childhood more now and anxiety and that side of myself. I don’t think that people would expect that I would have panic attacks . . . Or I don’t know if they would, because I don’t know what people expect of me. I have no idea.”

On filming her new movie, “Gangster Squad”: Working with Sean [Penn] was pretty cool. There was a moment when Sean did an impression of the guy he was in jail next to, and then I realized I was working with Sean Penn, because he became the guy he was in jail next to. You hear people do a voice, but his entire body . . . He turned into this terrifying guy with this tiny voice who was talking about his cat. I was like, “Holy sh-t. This guy is touched by something.”

The fashion is incredibly fierce, which goes perfectly with Emma’s otherworldly look. | continue reading..

Before hitting the red carpet for the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival and premiere of “Moonrise Kingdom”, Tilda Swinton attended a morning photocall for the movie at Palais des Festivals.

Tilda kept her look conservative opting for a mauve silk tie neck blouse and powder blue pencil skirt from Haider Ackermann.

Cool, clean and totally right up Tilda’s alley.  | continue reading..

Tilda Swinton arrived for the premiere of her movie “Moonrise Kingdom” tonight as it was held during the opening ceremony of the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival on the beautiful French Riviera.

The 51-year-old stepped out on the red carpet at Palais des Festivals in a shimmering blush folded gown by Haider Ackermann. A shorter bronze version was seen on the runway for the Fall 2012 collection.

Her go-to designer? Sure. Her go-to style? No, but I’ll take it!

I’m sure we’ll get our fill of Tilda’s swanky suits over the course of her time at the festival, but this dress was such a refreshing change to her normal red carpet style routine. | continue reading..

I’m never a huge fan of what Tilda Swinton wears, but I’ve always respected her style — including her love of all things Haider Ackermann, whom she wears often.

I expected her to wear an Ackermann design for her walk down red carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the 2012 Golden Globe Awards this past Sunday, and I figured she’d wear the black and ruby metallic cutout waist twisted jacket with the black sheer skirt from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection. | continue reading..

“We Need To Talk About Kevin” star Tilda Swinton has been consistently rocking looks by Haider Ackermann while doing press for her movie this fall. As one of her go-to designers, I was hardly shocked to see that she selected pieces from his Spring 2012 collection for the 2011 Gotham Independent Film Awards last night.

I was, however, surprised at how much I liked it.

Tilda attended the ceremony at Cipriani Wall Street in NYC wearing black trousers and a long-sleeve sheer blouse with an attached neck tie from the collection. My favorite part of the look was the metallic plaid long blazer with satin lapels and cuffs. It was so chic and livened up the entire ensemble.

She really worked that jacket and paired it brilliantly — even with the basic black pumps. This definitely wouldn’t look right on anyone, but it fit Tilda’s style to a T.
