MY VERDICT: I should probably start off with how thrilled I was to see Ashley wearing a dress I had in mind for her off my Wish List. The “CBGB” star arrived to the PUNK: Chaos to Couture themed gala tonight in a Marchesa strapless black structured ball gown with gold baroque embroidery from the Fall 2013 collection. It fit the dress code by combining punk and glam–although it was a little more girlie, and that was exactly what I imagined her doing. MY VERDICT: Charlize shut. it. down. on the Oscar red carpet when she arrived wearing a breathtaking white silk bustier gown from Christian Dior Haute Couture, which featured an embroidered peplum and v-notched detail at the neckline.  Seriously, this dress is ridiculously amazing.  Why has this entire awards season gone by without Jenn Lawrence wearing a Dior dress even remotely like this?  I’m in love with the subtle sexiness and bold glamour.

The statuesque “Snow White and the Huntsman” actress-slash-exquisite beauty was simply flawless as she accessorized with diamond bracelets on both wrists to match the studs in her ears. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Jessica was simply heavenly on the Oscars red carpet in her custom made Armani Privé copper-toned silk satin strapless corset gown with sparkling embroidery.  It should go without saying that the “Zero Dark Thirty” played it a bit safe compared to what she could have worn, but I would be totally lying if I said I didn’t like this.  Jessica looked divine, and as I predicted, she was definitely giving nods to old Hollywood glamour—and it was appreciated, at least by me.

A side-parted mane with sculpted curls were accented by diamond earrings, a matching bracelet, and a siren red pout.

Bravo, Miss Chastain!

MY VERDICT: Jessica was bursting with radiance on the BAFTA red carpet!  The “Zero Dark Thirty” selected, perhaps, her best dress this year thus far when she opted for the gorgeous asymmetrical “Azul” gown by Roland Mouret in a vibrant electric blue.  I can’t get over how absolutely perfect this color is on her, especially against that strawberry red hair–which was elegantly styled in retro Hollywood waves.  I’ve said before that I believe a bright blue is Jessica’s best color, and I stand by it. | continue reading..

WHERE & WHEN: “Beautiful Creatures” Hollywood premiere on February 6, 2013.

MY VERDICT: Wow! Emmy had dramatic beauty down to a science when she rocked the black carpet in her dark and glamorous gown by Andrew Gn.  The 26-year-old actress celebrated the premiere of “Beautiful Creatures” by selecting this stunning mermaid gown with a black velvet base and white crisscross halterneck detail, from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection.  I much prefer the white contrast over the hot pink that was presented with the line—especially on Emmy.  One of the most striking details of the slim silhouette design has to be the multi-strap back.  Emmy was able to beautifully display this due to her chocolate tresses being styled in tucked retro pin-waves.  With a on-trend vampy plum lip color to match her nails, she completed her gorgeous look with diamond earrings and a matching bracelet from Harry Winston.

MY VERDICT: On the bright side, Jessica’s strapless red Alexander McQueen gown was a grand improvement over her Golden Globes look. However, it still failed to live up to what I thought we’d be seeing from the “Zero Dark Thirty” star this awards season.  The dress is very pretty, I especially love the crossover detail at the bodice, but it just didn’t have the spark I was hoping for.  Regardless, she’s still beautiful and I loved her “Splash” diamond necklace from the Water by Harry Winston collection. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: As my out-right favorite design from the Fall/Winter 2012 Haute-Couture collection by Elie Saab, I was very excited to see that Jessica wore this black fully-embroidered lace gown last night for the Producers Guild Awards.  The deep sweetheart neckline, the dazzling slightly sheer skirt and appliqué sleeves are such beauties that I basically have no qualms about this look. MY VERDICT: I was so excited to see this beautiful melon silk faille trumpet gown by Oscar de la Renta at the Golden Globes this year; this design had made my Wish List, and although it was worn by someone else that I had envisioned it in, I was not disappointed in the least.  Jessica looked incredible in the strapless gown; her honey tresses were waved to perfection and that diamond Harry Winston necklace could complete a look all on its own.  With a light nail polish to compliment and bright coral lips, this look was almost perfect from head-to-toe…and then that odd feathered clutch got in the way.

MY VERDICT: Jessica stepped out on the first major award show red carpet of the season last night at the CCMAs wearing an embellished custom made gown by Prada. The “Zerk Dark Thirty” star, who took home the award for “Best Actress”, shined in a red cady silk v-neck gown with fuchsia crystal embroidered straps and a eye-catching bow tied back. Seriously, that back! I liked the front just fine, but I’m assuming that gorgeous detailed back design is what sold Jess on this dress. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Jessica looked very ladylike last night when she arrived for the screening wearing a beautiful black lace cocktail dress. This short sleeve flared number comes from Mr. de la Renta’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection, but unfortunately wasn’t seen on the runway.  She gave the look an extra regal boost with a diamond statement necklace by Harry Winston.

The “Mama” star is like a little chameleon as she transforms from a sexy body-con number into such an elegant look.  I wish she had done a little bit more with her hair, but I like that she toned things down a bit with subtle “Lady Gres” knot-gathered platform Christian Louboutin pumps. | continue reading..
