It was the debut of the Resort 2013 collection for Salvatore Ferragamo last night in Paris, which was presented during a live runway show at the Louvre (Musée du Louvre). This marked the first time in history that a brand has shown inside the halls of the prestigious museum. Nothing like making fashion history!

Among the glamorous attendees were actresses Leighton Meester (“Gossip Girl”), Freida Pinto (“Trishna”) and Hilary Swank (“Conviction”) in striking looks from the Fall 2012 collection.

Leighton arrived looking regal in rich oxblood red; a sheer off the shoulder blouse that was enriched with beautiful gold embroidery, which was paired with a dazzling sequin and bead-embellished pencil skirt.

She gathered her golden brown tresses back to show off her bare shoulders, before completing her look with a black minaudière and matching Ferragamo platform peep toe pumps. | continue reading..

Salvatore Ferragamo ‘s Creative Director, Massimiliano Giornetti presented the Resort 2013 Ferragamo collection inside the halls of the prestigious location, marking the first time a brand has conducted a fashion show there.

Hilary Swank stepped out on the red carpet in New York City this past Thursday for the 3rd annual amfAR Inspiration Gala New York at The New York Public Library.

The 37-year-old actress selected a dress from the latest Marc Jacobs collection for Resort 2013.

This tea-length floral design was featured in the collection in red and pink, but Hillary kept it toned down in a white version with black lace overlay.

Hilary Swank was a guest of designer Michael Kors on Monday night when she attended the 2012 MET Gala in New York City, which celebrated the opening of the “Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations” exhibition.

The 37-year-old actress was a “Best Dressed” contender in a gorgeous dark red silk chiffon halterneck gown that looked like it was built around her body. Talk about a custom dress — this was one of the most perfect fitting gowns I’ve ever seen on someone.

Everyone knows ‘it’s all about sparkle’ when it comes to your attire to ring in the new year; naturally you should take the same advice when dressing for a movie about ringing in the new year. Hilary Swank played it smart when she attended the Los Angeles premiere of her new film “New Year’s Eve” wearing a dazzling Elie Saab haute couture dress.

Hilary’s midnight blue embroidered batwing cocktail dress with a velvet floral applique at the waist was simply stunning. She obviously had to make some modifications; such as the under-layer at the bodice — it was quite revealing on the catwalk.

Unfortunately her look did come to a point where it disappointed. I was less than thrilled to see that she paired this dress with the glittered flame-designed fishnet slingback “Maralena” sandals by Christian Louboutin. They’re great shoes, but her dress glittered enough. A leather sandal like the pair seen with the dress during the presentation would have been ideal. | continue reading..

The long awaited premiere of “J. Edgar” kicked off the AFI FEST during the opening night gala last night at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, and Hilary Swank arrived in a multi-zipperd white dress by Givenchy.

Okay, so the dress – from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection – is really cool; I especially love the zips at the sleeves and waist.

But honestly?

The dress has no shape on her at all; she looks as stiff as a board.

As for her beauty details, the top part of her hair looks dirty and flat while the rest of it is pretty and wavy.

On top of it all – considering her zippers are gold, and possibilities were endless – why in the world did she wear really pointy black patent pumps?

Totally confused by this look.
