MY VERDICT: Nazneen stepped out on the silver carpet in a bright orange dress for the Hollywood premiere of her new movie “Star Trek Into Darkness”. The 30-year-old actress glowed in the deep v-neck floor-length silk dress from the Spring 2013 collection of Zac Posen’s diffusion line, originally called Z Spoke. I love the color of the dress as well as the semi-sheer panels at the bottom, but more than that, I’m happy Nazneen opted for gold Manolo Blahnik sandals instead of sticking with a common black or nude pump. Subtle makeup, complimenting gold jewelry and a long side braid completed her look.

MY VERDICT: Miley rocked the green turf carpet last night when she celebrated her #1 spot at MAXIM’s Hot 100 party in Hollywood. The 20-year-old singer kept it cool–and “hot”, in a strapless black slouchy Valentino jumpsuit. This techno couture one piece, which features a white contrast panel at the top that connects into a statement bow appliqué is the back, has become very popular with celebrities–including fans Gwyneth Paltrow and Lena Dunham.

All of this jumpsuit love lately makes me so happy!

Because of the longer length, I don’t think Miley should have worn ankle strap shoes as it allows for the pant to bunch at the bottom. A fun studded pump would have streamlined this more without lacking edge. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Alice Eve went bold in metallics to rock the silver carpet at the Hollywood premiere of “Star Trek Into Darkness”. She wore a sexy long sleeve Zuhair Murad gold embroidered sheath dress with black silk knit paneling, from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection. I love the way Alice highlighted the colors of her dress by slipping into lace up black Giuseppe Zanotti sandals with a gold mirrored heel accent. MY VERDICT: All eyes were on Zoe Saldana when she arrived for the premiere of the highly-anticipated “Star Trek Into Darkness”. After promoting it across the globe for the past few weeks, I was excited for the Hollywood celebration of the sequel to the 2009 hit. The press tour for this movie has found Zoe rocking jumpsuits and hot pink metallic mini dresses, but with this particular event she opted for something a little sexier and wore a Rodarte nude embroidered v-neck cocktail dress from the Fall 2013 collection. This v-neck slip dress is lined with tiered ruffle panels surrounding a sheer inset at the waist. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Despite a plethora of glamorous and unique gowns at the MET gala, one of my favorite looks this week popped up on Katie Aselton at a Hollywood screening for “Black Rock”. The 34-year-old actress not only stars in the thriller alongside Kate Bosworth and Lake Bell–she directed it as well.

MY VERDICT: After donning two brilliant purple looks this week, Kerry Washington kept in classic in black and white when she arrived at the Hollywood premiere of her new movie “Peeples” at the ArcLight theater. The 36-year-old actress flaunted her toned figure in a slinky silk-satin dress by Narciso Rodriguez, from the designer’s Fall 2013 collection.

I’ve never been much of a fan of the “mullet” style dresses, but I can’t deny that I like this on Kerry. I also find the white insets at the bust to be more flattering to the overall look rather than the sharp black and white contrast seen on the runway. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: After donning a shocking pink mini at the MET ball earlier in the week, Kate opted for a more subdued shade at the special Hollywood screening of her new movie “Black Rock”. The 30-year-old actress arrived at the ArcLight Hollywood theater wearing a Miu Miu ivory and slate blue godet skirted dress, which featured an exquisite pearl and crystal embroidered sleeveless bodice. The intense flounce skirt both flattered and lengthened Kate’s lithe shape, which is refreshing since this style has the tendency to truncate or add unnecessary width to teh body.

With a sleek low ponytail and a pop of punchy red on her pout, Kate finished off the look with a pair of silver leather décolleté pumps and a python clutch–both from Prada.

MY VERDICT: Chelsea stood out at the red and gold themed Hollywood premiere of “Iron Man 3″ when she hit the scarlet carpet wearing a shimmering yellow cocktail dress. The “Baby Daddy” actress selected the “Taryn” beaded cap sleeve fitted dress from the Spring 2013 collection by Alice + Olivia. I’m a tad bit obsessed with this dress because A) it’s sparkles–so, duh, B) the knee length design is practically the most flattering cut for a woman, and C) the shade of yellow is so pretty.

I’m not surprised that this dress has become a celebrity favorite; you may remember Vanessa Hudgens rocking it on “The Tonight Show” last month. It was a great choice for Chelsea, and it helps that her angled swept bob haircut suits her dress perfectly. My only qualm is that she had worn a better shoe. She didn’t need anything distracting, but the nude pointed toe leather pump was kind of boring and office-ready. After seeing this dress with a gold sandal and printed fun (pictured on model)–I was let down.

A Doves by Doron Paloma yellow gold quartz and diamond ring and Kabana diamond and opal earrings completed her look.

MY VERDICT: Providing a pretty balance of “sweet” and “rebellious”, the 19-year-old “Jessie” star hit the red carpet for the “Iron Man 3″ premiere wearing a strapless OSMAN cocktail dress with a black leather bodice and a cream skirt completely embroidered with shimmering gold detailing, from designer Osman Yousefzada’s Spring 2013 collection. Not only was the dress a perfect fit on Debby’s figure, but I like that she kept her neckline practically bare–with the exception of a dainty gold necklace–and wore her long ginger tresses up in a loosely twisted style. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: PYou can always count on Bella Thorne to have fun with her red carpet look. The “Shake It Up” actress pulled out all the stops when she attended the Hollywood premiere of “Iron Man 3″ wearing a bold retro Spring 2013 coral and white floral puffed sleeve crop top and peplum long skirt by Katie Ermilio. That was bold all on its own, but Bella added to the unique vibe by layering on a multicolored stone statement bib necklace by DANNIJO and twisting her long ginger locks up into a trendy top knot. | continue reading..
