Emmy Rossum in Donna Karan Atelier | MET Gala 2013

WHO: Emmy Rossum
WHERE & WHEN: 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala – PUNK: Chaos to Couture on May 6, 2013.
WEARING: Donna Karan Atelier dress, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes & Irit Design jewelry.

MY VERDICT: Emmy was one of the many stars that decided to wear a really beautiful dress and add punk elements in later with hair and makeup. The “Shameless” actress arrived at the gala wearing a stunning one-of-a-kind Donna Karan Atelier platinum embroidered ravished lace gown with silver silk liquid lamé lining.

The v-neck gown was draped with tulle and featured exquisite beaded fringe along the back.

I can honestly say this is one of the nicest dresses I have ever seen Emmy wear, but it wasn’t punk to me. It was actually pretty far from it. It was obvious she tried to make up for the lack of rock influence by opting for structured dramatic eyeshadow and a braided hairstyle. I’m pretty sure she was going for a mohawk, but it would have been cooler if she had done it with buns.

Emmy finished with fishnet nail art, delicate Giuseppe Zanotti sandals, and cool webbed gunmetal jewelry from Irit Design.

Remember when Carrie Underwood had ten wardrobe changes last year when she co-hosted the CMA Awards with Brad Paisley? Good, because the duo returned to take over hosting duties this year and Carrie added an extra look into the mix!

Aside from her arrival in Reem Acra, the “Good Girl” singer went on to change eleven more times during the ceremony. From the dresses, to the jewelry–and of course, the shoes! The Fashion Court has the scoop on every. single. look.

Carrie opened the show wearing a glittering nude long-sleeve cocktail dress by Jovani. This flesh-colored frock featured all-over crystal embellishing in a star-burst effect. The only way to compliment a dress like this at a country music awards show was to naturally add more sparkle into the mix! | continue reading..

Amy Adams took a walk on the wild side last night when she stepped out on the red carpet for the New York premiere of “The Master” wearing a silk v-neck cocktail dress by Giambattista Valli.

The color-block dress, an non-presented piece from Resort 2013, featured an ivory top mixed with a sassy leopard print that fell into a sleek black pencil silhouette of a skirt. The black was once again worked into the look with a built in belt.

This allowed for her solid black pumps to actually work really well with her dress. | continue reading..

It’s been a crazy month, but it finally looks as though the press tour for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ is winding down. In fact — as of midnight — you can officially see the fourth installment of the saga in theaters!

For her final trip down the “Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ red carpet, Ashley Greene joined her co-stars Jackson Rathbone and Sarah Clarke for a premiere in Toronto. I’m sure it was a special treat for Canadian Twihards considering the majority of the movies were filmed in Canada; “New Moon”, and “Eclipse” and parts of “Breaking Dawn” were shot in Vancouver and Squamish.

Ashley arrived at the Winter Garden Theater in a warm ivory coat from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection by Jane Oh and carrying a Roger Vivier clutch before revealing the dress underneath. Ashley was decked out in a tomato red knee-length dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Narciso Rodriguez. I like the dress, and I loved the color on Ashley — that’s more or less about as far as it goes. | continue reading..
