Jada Pinkett Smith has officially boarded the Tom Ford zipper dress fan train.

The 40-year-old petite actress joined her husband Will Smith and their children Willow and Jaden when the family came out to support legendary radical activist Angela Davis at the premiere of her documentary, “‘Free Angela & All Political Prisoners”, held during the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival last night.

Jada wore head-to-toe Ford, which included her long-sleeve white crepe cocktail dress with gold zipper detailing that opens to reveal a full back. After rocking a metallic number for the New York premiere of “Madagascar 3″, Jada Pinkett Smith was back on the red carpet last night for the Capri Sun ‘Super V’ Launch.

The 40-year-old actress bared a lot of skin in this Pre-Fall 2012 strapless red playsuit by Valentino with rosette detail at the bust.

This was originally presented as pants and not shorts. I could say ‘and it should have stayed that way’, but I feel like on a young starlet, with the right pair of shoes, this could actually work.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t work for Jada — at all.

I like her style most of the time, but seriously? This just came off tacky on her. She may have the body for it, but that doesn’t mean this super tiny outfit was the right choice.

Additionally, I like the shoes, but not with this. She wore Jimmy Choo black “Greta” sandals”.

Jada looked beautiful in this dress; it was chic and effortless — and I like the way she wore her hair wavy and swept to the side.

Jada usually pulls off everything she wears, but as such a petite woman, this dress completely overwhelms her. It’s not so much the design as it is the super sharp and exaggerated shoulders.
