It’s fashion’s biggest night!

This year’s exhibition for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations, is more than underway. In less than 24 hours, your favorites in fashion, music, film and television will hit the crimson carpet for the 2012 MET Gala in good ‘ol New York City.

Gettin’ you ‘Wu’ on at Skylight SOHO was the place to be tonight for the VIP shopping extravaganza as Jason Wu for Target had it’s official launch fête in New York City. Jason Wu’s exclusive collection doesn’t hit Target stores nationwide until February 5th, but if you were at the private soirèe, you got to nosh on macaroons from Ladurée, listen to live music from Yelle, mingle with celebs like Blake Lively and Jaime King… and get first dibs on some Wu items!

“Shameless” star Emmy Rossum hit the red carpet in a Jason Wu for Target button-down pink sheer double-pocket blouse that she paired with a printed skirt from the collection. With her hair pulled half up and the rest out in cascading waves, she finished off her look with nude pointed toe “Pigalle” pumps by Christian Louboutin and very pretty make-up.

I loved this feminine look so much; it’s a very easy look for the everyday girl to rock.

Chloe Moretz also looked fabulous in the same blouse in white with a black satin neck tie that matched her pleated skirt from the Target collection.  | continue reading..

Blake Lively came out to Skylight SOHO  in support of Jason Wu‘s exclusive collection for Target at his launch fête in NYC tonight. She partied the night away with Jason and her “Hick” co-star Chloe Moretz!

While many celeb attendees wore looks from the upcoming collection, the “Gossip Girl” actress opted for a dress from his Spring/Summer 2012 collection. You may remember seeing this dress, featuring a black top and an ivory peplum skirt embellished with black Swarovski crystals, on Michelle Williams recently — but Blake’s version was reversed in color.

This is still one of my favorite dresses from the collection and now I’m totally torn as to which way I like it more. | continue reading..
