MY VERDICT: “Castle” star Stana Katic was back on the red grey carpet for the Women In Film’s 2013 Crystal + Lucy Awards in Beverly Hills wearing another jumpsuit. This gal clearly loves her jumpsuits, but no worries, I’m picking up what she’s putting down and I dig this. Stana wore a rich ruby silk Max Mara Fall 2013 design with a ruched single shoulder strap overlay. I loved the contrast of the shading, but I was really interested in the incorporation of gold. | continue reading..

WHO: Jennifer Lawrence
WHERE & WHEN: 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala – PUNK: Chaos to Couture on May 6, 2013.
WEARING: Christian Dior dress, clutch, and Dior Fine Jewelry, Brian Atwood shoes & a Jennifer Behr Headpiece.

MY VERDICT: Jennifer arrived in nearly head-to-toe Christian Dior–as expected. The Oscar winner hit the red carpet in a black embroidered leather “Miss Dior 1949″ strapless tulle tea-length dress, from the Fall 2013 collection. I had hoped she would wear this silhouette, but the embellishments combined with the fishnet Jennifer Behr voilette headband was a step back from punk. Jen was better off with the smooth solid leather garbage bag design from Fall 2013 that I included in my wish list, I feel like that embodied the theme better. Don’t get me wrong, her dress is quite a stunner and if this had been any other event, I would be gushing over her look–but, it was just the wrong time and place.

WHERE & WHEN: “Movie 43″ Hollywood premiere on January 23, 2013.

MY VERDICT: I think Ashley looked so sweet last night at the premiere in her sleeveless Philip Armstrong cocktail dress. The fit-and-flare silhouette was young and fun, while the cream lace bodice added some sophistication to the colorblock style.  I really like how she got playful with her shoes and opted for funky black strappy platform “Temptress” sandals by Walter Steiger, which featured the signature curved heel.  I’m obsessed with that heel!  It’s a subtle detail, and I don’t know if it was intentional, but the shape of her shoe actually complimented her hairstyle—a heightened ponytail!  She polished her ‘do off with a black leather headband by Jennifer Behr.  With a glamorous smoky eye and nude pout makeup palette, Ash completed her look with a Lauren Merkin “Lucca” clutch in black suede with patent leather trim and Norman Silverman 18k white gold and black diamond stud earrings that are surrounded in pave diamonds. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Ariel looked pretty in neon florals when she joined her “Modern Family” costars at the Golden Globes this year.  The starlet stepped out wearing a short sleeve rose dress from Valentino‘s Resort 2013 collection with all over lace flower embroidery in bright turquoise, lime, yellow and hot pink.  I had a rough time imagining who would wear this, but I believe Ariel was the perfect gal to do so.  It wasn’t too young–it was just right.  I think she took the look a bit over the top with the heavy embellished Jennifer Behr headband, but the matching shoes were just right.  I just wish her clutch complimented her other accessories.  This particular ensemble called for gold or silver, not both.

WHERE & WHEN: 39th Annual People’s Choice Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles on January 9, 2013.
WEARING: Valentino Fall/Winter 2012 dress, Jimmy Choo shoes, Sylva & Cie  jewelry & a Jennifer Behr headpiece.

MY VERDICT: I figured Katy would probably not take a ostentatious approach to her look last night at the People’s Choice Awards, considering she’s been wearing many elegant dresses lately.  That being said, I can’t get over how much this floral embroidered long-sleeve Valentino dress aged her.  Had she modified it by removing the sleeves, leaving her hair out and a funkier shoe–it might have been a bit more youthful.  Instead, Katy wore her hair up in a woven style with a gold Jennifer Behr headpiece.  Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think she looked terrible–I just don’t think this look works for her.

Jessica Biel killed it at Comic-Con International 2012 this weekend!

The 30-year-old actress arrived at the San Diego Convention Center on Friday afternoon to promote “Total Recall” with her costars Kate Beckinsale and Collin Farrell at a press panel held during the annual comic book convention.

Jess rocked yet another white ensemble that she spiked with colorful shoes. She paired a tissue-thin soft white “Mya” tee from Joe’s Jeans with a shiny white pencil skirt from the Thierry Mugler Resort 2013 collection that hit at her shins and ruffled at the waist.

So freaking cute, right?!

I totally love her skirt — and her shoes. Jess slipped on a neon pair of hot pink Brian Atwood “Starlet” pumps that complimented another pop of color she was sporting — a fluro pink manicure.  | continue reading..

After donning florals for a morning press conference in Moscow, Russia, it was off to the red carpet for Emma Stone and the rest of “The Amazing Spider-Man” gang for the premiere.

This time around, Emma stayed away from bold prints in favor of a ice cold, pale blue long sleeve dress by Emilio Pucci.

As one of a few dresses in this color from the Fall 2012 collection, this was probably my least favorite by comparison. I also think the light color was too light against Emma’s fair skin, and the whole design was kind of aging for the 23-year-old. | continue reading..

For the World Premiere of Universal’s “Snow White and the Huntsman” held in London, Empire Leicester Square was transformed into a fairytale carpet that was separated into the Dark Forrest and the Enchanted Forrest to stay in theme with the film.

Kristen Stewart joined her costars Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth and Sam Claflin at the big event looking like a mystical creature herself.

The beautiful 22-year-old actress arrived to the premiere wearing a ornate black lace Marchesa gown that was embroidered with metallic beaded embellishments that were designed to look like skeleton bones!

Hairstylist Ken O’Rourke helped Kristen get ready for her close-up by taking inspiration from her dress! “I wanted to give her hair a modern gothic feeling,” he told The Fashion Court.

The morning of the premiere, Ken and Kristen came up with the idea to weave a chain throughout her twisted, undone ‘do.

Luckily, he had the perfect piece in his kit!

Including accessories in the hair has become a popular red carpet staple lately. Dakota Fanning, Jennifer Lawrence, and Kirsten Dunst are just some of the starlets adding sparkle to their tresses. | continue reading..

Jaws dropped when Jennifer Lawrence arrived at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live tonight for the Hollywood premiere of “The Hunger Games”. Mine included.

She made her way down the black carpet, lined with swarms of fans that she stopped to sign autographs for, in a gleaming metallic gold gown by Prabal Gurung.

The 21-year-old actress plays the heroine role of Katniss Everdeen — known as “the girl on fire”, and I don’t know about you, but Jenn was certainly on fire tonight in this cut-out gown hot off the Fall 2012 New York Fashion Week runway. | continue reading..
