Donatella Versace celebrated the opening of the Versace store in SoHo with a swanky party and private dinner held at The Waldorf Towers and filled with fashion pals on Wednesday night in New York City.

Stars on the guest-list included singers Lady Gaga, Jennifer Hudson, model Coco Rocha, and Princess Charlene of Monaco.

Donatella kicked off the night, with her gal-pal Lady Gaga by her side, rocking a crystal embellished strapless black leather tight jumpsuit from the Fall 2012 collection while Mother Monster also wore head-to-toe black; a knit crop top, knee-length swing skirt and a cropped fur jacket. Jennifer Hudson was all about glamour when she performed at the 2012 Concert for the Rainforest Fund on Tuesday night in NYC. The 30-year-old performer arrived at The Pierre Hotel wearing a blush pink gown by Reem Acra wth a gorgeous metallic embroidered sweetheart bodice.

I love the color against her rich complexion and her hair looked really nice styled in loose waves that tumbled over her bare shoulders.

Jenn completed her look with bold jewelry from Kimberly McDonald and a pretty rose gold inspired make-up palette.

The “Think Like A Man” singer wore a stunning black sleeveless sequined gown by Ralph & Russo with a sheer embroidered bodice that fit her curvy figure like a glove.

To make it even better, her hair was styled in a lovely half-up/half-down voluminous ‘do that she complimented with gold jewelry.

She completed her look with a punchy pink pout and a bright smile.

Jennifer Hudson has been all about flaunting her slimmer figure these past several months, but it was so nice and refreshing to see the 30-year-old singer in such an angelic and floaty look for the NAACP Image Awards on Friday night.

The stars came out in their finest last night for the amfAR New York Gala To Kick Off Fashion Week held at Cipriani Wall Street.

Among the attendees in daring yet gorgeous designs from Roberto Cavalli were Julianne Moore, Heidi Klum, Cindy Crawford, and Jennifer Hudson.

Julianne Moore opted for a long-sleeve dark navy gown with a bit of ruching at the waist. I like that she kept things simple without many accessories; she wore a pretty colorful ring and carried a black Bottega Veneta clutch. I’m such a fan of her red hair — in fact, I love red hair in general. Julianne’s looked so pretty with a slight wave and parted to the side. She finished off her look with a dark berry pout.

Heidi Klum has had four kids… I hope my figure looks as fabulous as hers does if I ever even have one! The 38-year-old model looked incredible in her laced-side metallic strapless sequin gown. She’s certainly been making some noise over here in the states, but I was still shocked — yet pleased, to know that the talented Jessie J was included in this years VH1 Divas concert event.

The 23-year-old English R&B/pop-star arrived on the red carpet at the Hammerstein Ballroom last night for the “VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul” concert in a daring dress from Falguni & Shane Peacock.

She’s such a fashion risk-taker, so I wasn’t surprised at all to see her in this black sheer long-sleeve dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection with gold and silver embroidered designs and open flap shoulder detail. To cover up personal areas, Jessie wore tight black shorts and a black bikini top underneath.

I noticed in some photos that she was wearing combat boots with the look, and I’m going to assume that’s because she’s still taking it easy on her foot (she broke it a few months ago!). Even while knowing that, I’m kind of disappointed that the calf-length dress was altered with an almost curtain-like hem. She recently wore a pair of gold oxford lace-up shoes to an event, she could have even worn those and left the dress in its original form. | continue reading..

It was an evening of rhythm and soul last night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. VH1 held their annual VH1 Divas concert where the vocal talent — both legendary and new — of different genres came together on one stage for several unforgettable performances. For this years theme, “VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul”, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott, Florence Welch (of Florence + The Machine), Kelly Clarkson and Jessie J headlined the event and took the stage with the likes of Chaka Khan, Erykah Badu, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Boyz II Men, Estelle, Marsha Ambrosius and Travie McCoy.

Jennifer Hudson arrived on the red carpet decked out in a head-to-toe look from Francesco Scognamiglio‘s Fall/Winter 2011 collection. The 30-year-old singer (and Weight Watchers spokeswoman) looked slimmer than ever in this shimmering three-quarter length sleeve dress. Her particular design was not seen on the catwalk; Jenn’s featured a shiny stretchy fabric and thicker lace ruffled embroidery at the neckline.

In addition to the dress, Jenn rocked an insane pair of glittery banded thigh-high boots from the collection! I like the boots more than the dress on her, but I think they were better suited for one of the performances rather than the carpet. I would have loved to have gotten a great view of the heel during the show.
