2013 Cannes Film Festival – WISH LIST

2013 Cannes Film Festival – WISH LISTThe countdown to Cannes 2013 is almost over! | Photo: Zimbio
OMG it’s that time of year again—the 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival kicks off tomorrow! It’s officially time to prepare yourself for gorgeous gowns, and let’s face it, questionable choices. Some of my favorite red carpet dresses have been debuted during the prestigious film festival, so I’m looking forward to seeing which repeat attendees will continue their “WOW” streak and who will end up surprising us all. In the meantime, I’ve compiled a list of dresses I hope to see on the stars who are expected to attend.

I have a bit of a soft spot for this particular wish list as the festival last year was the first event I ever did one for.

Follow along with me on Twitter [ @TheFashionCourt ] as I ID the celebrity style at Cannes for the next two weeks, and check back here at TheFashionCourt.com for all the photocall and premiere fashion recaps. | continue reading..

Jessica Biel in Giambattista Valli Couture | MET Gala 2013

WHO: Jessica Biel
WHERE & WHEN: 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala – PUNK: Chaos to Couture on May 6, 2013.
WEARING: Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress, pants and shoes & Fred Leighton jewelry

MY VERDICT: It was really exciting to see this Giambattista Valli black netted high-low gown and leggings on the MET Gala red carpet as it was a look I was really crossing my fingers for. I had envisioned Jessica wearing this Spring 2013 Haute Couture silhouette–but, it was the solid pink version. I had pegged the darker number for Diane Kruger as I felt Jessica would play it safer, and needless to say: I underestimated Jess. I feel like it captured the punk attitude even though it was pretty glamorous too.

My only qualm is that I feel like she thought the dress was going to do all the work for her and didn’t put any effort into it otherwise. | continue reading..

Jessica Biel in Nina Ricci | “Playing For Keeps” NYC Premiere After Party

Jessica Biel was spotted leaving the Dream Downtown in New York City with her husband Justin Timberlake last night following the premiere of her new movie “Playing For Keeps”, and she wore a dress that she probably should have selected for the red carpet considering her gown of choice didn’t play out so well.

The 30-year-old actress slipped into a comfortable aqua silk Nina Ricci dress, from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection, which featured an asymmetric hem, cutaway strips and a lace necklace.  I think the color looks beautiful on her, but I can’t say that I totally understand the pairing of the bright turquoise suede Jimmy Choo “Anouk” pumps.  | continue reading..

Jessica Biel in Versace | “Playing For Keeps” New York City Premiere

After completing a promotional tour for “Hitchcock” a couple of short weeks ago, Jessica Biel was back to the press tour grind last night when she attended the New York City premiere of “Playing For Keeps”, a romantic comedy in which she stars alongside Gerard Butler and Uma Thurman.

Jessica tried her hand at another straight-from-the-runway Spring 2013 design by slipping into the asymmetrically cutout slate blue silk-chiffon gown by Versace. This single sleeve, floor-sweeping gown features a gold embellished drop waist belt and a plunging open slash across the bodice that Jess obviously modified a little at the bottom to prevent a ‘wardrobe malfunction’.  | continue reading..

Jessica Biel in Michael Kors | “Hitchcock” Beverly Hills Premiere After Party

Jessica Biel’s look on the red carpet for the Beverly Hills premiere of “Hitchcock” may have done absolutely nothing for me, but her dress for the after party certainly perked things back up.  I guess you can only stay comfortable in a maxi dress with a giant ruffle trimmed open back for so long before you crave a t-shirt, or in this case, a tee-styled mini dress.

The 30-year-old actress hit up the after party for her movie where she had slipped into a Michael Kors optic white silk wool shantung box pleat shift dress, which comes from the designer’s latest Spring/Summer 2013 collection—although, it wasn’t seen on the runway. | continue reading..

Jessica Biel in Gucci | “Hitchcock” Beverly Hills Premiere

Is Jessica Biel for real?

Since she married Justin Timberlake last month—she’s been kind of messing up the natural flow of things. He finally achieved bringing ‘sexy back’, and she just keeps sending it back away!

After failing to captivate in a silver embroidered tunic and trousers earlier this week for the New York screening of “Hitchcock”, the 30-year-old actress was given another opportunity to ‘wow’ us when she hit the red carpet last night for the premiere in Beverly Hills, held at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

I wasn’t too big of a fan of this Gucci ruffled floor-length halterneck black silk gown when it was presented on the catwalk with the Spring/Summer 2013 collection, but I’m even less thrilled with it on Jess.  | continue reading..

Jessica Biel in Oscar de la Renta | “Hitchcock” New York Premiere

Jessica Biel took a bit of a risk last night when she stepped out on the scarlet red carpet to attend the New York premiere of “Hitchcock” wearing a shimmering top and pants by Oscar de la Renta, which were very reminiscent of lounge wear.

The newlywed actress selected a silver bead and lamé mousseline embroidered tunic and matching pants from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection, and although the actual detail is stunning…the over-all look didn’t work for Jessica. | continue reading..

Childhood dreams of ‘NSYNC fans all over came to an end on October 19th when pop singer Justin Timberlake married his girlfriend of five years, actress Jessica Biel, in front of an intimate crowd of family and friends during a romantic candlelight ceremony in Italy.

PEOPLE Magazine has the exclusive wedding photos of Justin and Jessica’s big day in the November 5, 2012 issue, which is currently on newsstands now, where we get a look at the location, the cake, and of course — the dress.

Justin looked handsome in a black Tom Ford tuxedo, while Jessica donned a custom floral pink-infused white strapless ball gown by Giambattista Valli, which was originally seen in red-and-pink during the Spring 2012 Haute Couture fashion show. | continue reading..

Jessica Biel in Gucci | Variety’s 4th Annual Power Of Women Event

Jessica Biel rocked some ruffles when she stepped out for Variety’s 4th annual Power of Women event on Friday afternoon in Beverly Hills, where she was honored for her charitable work at the Lifetime presented gala.

The 30-year-old actress kind of surprised me by not showing up in white, which the bride-to-be has been opting for a lot of lately. Jessica wore shades of black, blue and green that started with her black floral printed silk georgette long-sleeve wrapped cocktail dress with ruffle trim from the Fall/Winter 2012 collection by Gucci.

Yes, this is the same dress that Kristen Stewart wore for the October cover of British Vogue. | continue reading..
