WHO: Saoirse Ronan
WHERE & WHEN: “The Host” Hollywood Premiere on March 19, 2013.
WEARING: Lanvin dress and shoes, and jewelry from EF Collection & J/Hadley.

MY VERDICT: Saoirse looked amazing in a rich shade of garnet when she hit the deep turquoise carpet for the Hollywood premiere of her new movie “The Host”.  The 18-year-old Irish-American actress selected the sleeveless Lanvin cocktail dress from the Spring 2013 collection, which features dazzling beaded embellishments down the sides with black ribbon detail.

I really liked this dress for Saoirse, because not only does it pop against her fair complexion and light blonde hair, but the loose shape very much suits the understated edgy-yet-classic style that I’ve always really enjoyed seeing from her.  | continue reading..

Selena Gomez in Dolce & Gabbana | “Spring Breakers” Madrid Premiere

WHO: Selena Gomez
WHERE & WHEN: “Spring Breakers” premiere in Madrid, Spain on February 21, 2013.
WEARING: Dolce & Gabbana dress and jewelry from Dana Rebecca Designs & J/Hadley.

MY VERDICT:  Is it too early to already call my favorite look for Selena Gomez on the “Spring Breakers” press tour? I’m going to go with “no” and express my love for the Dolce & Gabbana black lace bustier gown she wore.  The 20-year-old flaunted her curves in the sexy corset gown, which featured strips of satin panel embroidery that traveled down into the train.  It was so minimal and classic, but also very sexy without being overtly so.

I like that Sel styled her long hair up in a loose bun to show off her added pop of color—her earrings!  | continue reading..

Jennifer Lawrence in Chloé | Oscar Nominees Luncheon 2013

Jennifer Lawrence in Chloé | 2013 Oscar Nominations LuncheonPhotos: Zimbio; Style.com; Casadei
WHO: Jennifer Lawrence
WHERE & WHEN: 85th Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon on February 4, 2013.
WEARING: Chloe dress, Casadei shoes

MY VERDICT: Jennifer stepped out on the ruby carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel this afternoon for the annual Oscar nominees luncheon wearing a white strapless dress by Chloé.  The beautiful “Silver Linings Playbook” nominated star selected the knee-length design, which features a draped bodice.  It’s a pretty fluid design, but considering her sun-kissed skin, the color and cut of the dress, and that tousled hair—it appears as though she stepped right off the beach, grabbed a towel, and threw on a pair of heels.  I can’t say that this is the best silhouette for Jen, but to be fair, I don’t think it is for many ladies.

The 22-year-old actress wore the same black satin Casadei pumps that she opted for over the weekend with her striped jumpsuit at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.  | continue reading..

I think it’s quite possible that Rihanna saved one of her best looks of 2012 for the end of the year when she appeared on the season three finale of “The Voice” last night to perform her single “Diamonds” wearing one fierce Lanvin jumpsuit.

The 24-year-old singer dazzled on the stage in the Spring/Summer 2013  all-over Swarovski embroidered tuxedo jumpsuit with the complimenting “Dedale” large crystal necklace, bracelet and belt. | continue reading..

Naomi Watts brought a touch of spring to December at the premiere of “The Impossible” last night wearing a floral gown!

The 44-year-old actress selected this beautiful Zac Posen ivory silk gown—from the designer’s Resort 2013 collection, with fluttering short sleeves, a cutout back and a mermaid train with an all-over print of purple flowers. She was obviously going for an old Hollywood look as she styled her blonde locks in asymmetrically gathered pin-curls to show off her glamorous J/Hadley green and pink sapphire oval drop earrings. | continue reading..

Bella Heathcote looked lovely when she attended Monday’s New York screening of her movie “Killing Them Softly”.

The Australian actress selected a beautiful dark burgundy silk cocktail dress from the Fall 2011 collection by Roksanda Ilincic; the sleeveless design features a split v-neckline of falling ruffles that are trimmed in black chiffon. Pleated gathered details fill in the bodice and right side of the dress. | continue reading..

Lea Michele didn’t lack in getting attention when she hit the white carpet last night for ELLE’s 19th Annual Women In Hollywood Celebration. I mean, just look at her dress.

The “Glee” actress arrived at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills wearing a black “Independent” stripe lace mid-length dress and a “Rising” lace strapless bodysuit from the Spring 2013 collection by Australian label Zimmermann. | continue reading..

Sarah Hyland added a burst of color to her feet when she hit the red carpet on Thursday night for the 10th anniversary celebration of Teen Vogue’s “Young Hollywood” party, sponsored by Emporio Armani.

The “Modern Family” star wore a champagne knit combo black fit-and-flare dress from the Fall/Winter 2012 ERIN by Erin Fetherston collection ($415, erinfetherston.com), which she paired with purple suede platform “Delfa” pumps by Brian Atwood.

Sarah’s heels featured a cool black woven tassel embellishment going down the back. | continue reading..

Portia de Rossi in Valentino | 2012 Emmy Awards

Portia de Rossi passed on a gown for the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards in favor of a jumpsuit.

The “Arrested Development” actress arrived at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live with her wife Ellen DeGeneres while clad in a shimmering embellished beige Valentino jumpsuit. The long-sleeved one piece comes from the Fall/Winter 2012 collection and features a chainmail pattern accompanied by all-over sheer insets.

Her make-up was flawless and I love the way she slicked her bob haircut back. It was slightly unkempt, which gave her a relaxed yet elegant appearance. I think the only thing I didn’t like about Portia’s look were those accessories.

Aside from her pretty J/Hadley jewelry, I just didn’t understand the bone-colored clutch and pointed toe pumps.

It seemed so dated.

Did you like Portia’s Emmys jumpsuit?

Dakota Fanning in Stella McCartney | “Now Is Good” London Premiere

My, oh my! Dakota Fanning looks so grown up at the London premiere of her new movie “Now Is Good”, doesn’t she?

The 18-year-old actress joined her costar Jeremy Irvine at The Curzon Mayfair cinema on Thursday evening wearing a dazzling nude sequin-embellished gown by Stella McCartney, with thin straps, a scooped neck and a slim silhouette that flared out into a whimsical lightly pleated design.

The dress was a perfect fit, and because of the dark tone embellishments, it didn’t wash out Dakota’s porcelain complexion. | continue reading..
