While many ladies pushed the envelope on Monday night for the annual VOGUE hosted MET Gala to celebrate the “Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations” exhibition — Emily Blunt didn’t.

The “Five Year Engagement” actress kept it minimalist and chic in a salmon pink square neck gown from Calvin Klein Collection that featured sexy cutouts in the back.

I really liked this, though I wouldn’t say “less is more” because there’s nothing ‘less’ about that dramatic detailing on the back.

Emily, who was accompanied by her husband John Krasinski, finished off her look with a diamond bracelet, drop earrings and a glittered silver minaudière.

It’s usually about the siren red looks on the red carpet, but the way most fawn over that dangerous shade — that’s how I feel about green. Maybe it’s lover of all things holiday in me, but I’m a sucker for a hot red dress and a breath-taking green.

I’m ‘in awe’ of this striking shade of jade that Emily Blunt wore last night for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. It was quite the fête on Saturday night at U.S. Department of State in Washington D.C.; Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt (pictured with husband John Krasinski) were just a few of the celebrity and public figure attendees at the 2011 Kennedy Center Honors Gala dinner, hosted by United States Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Anne and Emily celebrated the 2011 honorees, Meryl Streep, Barbara Cook, Yo-Yo Ma, Neil Diamond, and Sonny Rollins at the red carpet dinner, both wearing gowns by Giambattista Valli.

With a side-parted curled up-’do, Emily showed off the asymmetric cap-sleeve neckline on her vibrant berry gown from the Pre-Fall 2011 collection. I’m head-over-heels for the color of this dress, putting aside the fact that it’s gorgeous, it also showcases the modern design. I only wish her black long evening bag wasn’t so distracting.

Anne also carried a black clutch, but hers blended in with her striking strapless black column dress from the Resort 2012 collection.  | continue reading..
