MY VERDICT: Julianna went the extra mile for a little drama when she arrived in this colorblock black and lilac satin gown from the Spring 2012 collection by Chado Ralph Rucci.  I really liked this dress on the runway, but I’m torn over how it appeared on the red carpet.  I’m both bummed and relieved that the crystal beaded top was replaced by solid black; while I prefer the glittering style, I’m not sure it would have looked right on Julianna.  She wore her jet black tresses up in a high glamorous ponytail before finishing off with some cool strappy Christian Louboutin “Zigouwi” cage sandals. | continue reading..

Narciso Rodriguez celebrated his new line for Design Nation; a limited edition collection, which will be sold exclusively at Kohl’s next month, with a launch party held at the IAC Building in New York City on Monday night.

Emma Roberts arrived wearing a pink-and-red version of this colorblock cap-sleeve sheath dress from the collection. With her short blonde hair gathered into a low ponytail, the 22-year-old actress finished off with classic Christian Louboutin black pointed toe “Pigalle” pumps and a ruby red pearlescent “Lara” acrylic clutch by Edie Parker. | continue reading..

“The Good Wife” actress Julianna Margulies surprised me by wearing a floral pattern tonight at the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards. I certainly had her pegged for a certain style, so it was refreshing to see her go a completely different route.

Julianna arrived at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live wearing a embossed printed strapless gown from the Fall/Winter 2012 haute couture collection by Giambattista Valli. This 1950s-inspired design featured hidden pockets at the sides. | continue reading..

Julianna Margulies has been keeping a pretty low-key appearance during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, but she really stood out last night for the premiere of “Cosmopolis” in a fabulous two-tone Reed Krakoff dress.

The 45-year-old actress arrived on the red carpet at Palais des Festivals wearing a strapless silk cherry red gown with a darker hued panel going straight down on side with an open slit.

What a gorgeous dress! It looks amazing on Julianna and was beautifully complimented by gold jewels and her dark brunette wavy locks.

She kept the rest of her look pretty simplistic opting for light make-up and Jimmy Choo pale gold, satin “Vamp” platform sandals.

“The Good Wife” star, Julianna Margulies went for bold color when she attended the 2012 Golden Globe Awards this month and while I liked that dress on her, I loved her selection for last Sunday night’s 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards more.

Her custom dove grey embroidered strapless dress by Calvin Klein Collection was a fabulous fit; the kind of dress I’ve been hoping she’d wear for awhile. I was surprised to see that metallic gowns were not that popular tonight, but fortunately they weren’t ignored either.

Christina Hendricks was one of the girl actresses to hit the carpet. The “Mad Men” star showcased her curvacious body in a custom design by Australian designer Johanna Johnson shimmering gown that featured a long train and very high center slit.

I made an audible growl when I saw that “Modern Family” star Julie Bowen had her hair in a low ponytail. She was wearing a fabulous silver lamé deep v-neck maco bead embroidered gown by Oscar de la Renta that was just begging for some red carpet bouncing luxurious curls. When you’re in such a sleek gown, don’t be afraid to add some volume to that hair! I wish I could have frozen time and ran to Los Angeles, pulled her hair loose and then ran back home to my computer to re-write this.

Anna Faris knows what’s up, she wore a deco metallic strapless gown from Reem Acra‘s spring 2011 ready-to-wear collection and left her goldie locks free flowing. I loved that she wore this dress, once the fall collections and then the resort looks come out, it’s very rare I get to see a spring dress from the current year this late in the game. Anna left out the belt that was paired with the dress for the presentation but I believe that was a wise choice.

Rachael Taylor, one of the stars from ABC’s “Charlie’s Angels” was another favorite of mine last night. I’m not a huge fan of pink but I thought she looked beautiful in this pale pink metallic placket strapless column Giorgio Armani dress. The Australian actress kept accessories simple but I really love her new sleek bob hair cut, it made her look seem somewhat effortlessly glam. | continue reading..
