MY VERDICT: After donning a shocking pink mini at the MET ball earlier in the week, Kate opted for a more subdued shade at the special Hollywood screening of her new movie “Black Rock”. The 30-year-old actress arrived at the ArcLight Hollywood theater wearing a Miu Miu ivory and slate blue godet skirted dress, which featured an exquisite pearl and crystal embroidered sleeveless bodice. The intense flounce skirt both flattered and lengthened Kate’s lithe shape, which is refreshing since this style has the tendency to truncate or add unnecessary width to teh body.

With a sleek low ponytail and a pop of punchy red on her pout, Kate finished off the look with a pair of silver leather décolleté pumps and a python clutch–both from Prada.

MY VERDICT: It seemed like Kate was paying homage to Jem and the Holograms rather than punk when she hit the MET Gala red carpet in a hot pink Balmain Atelier gentili lurex jacquard body-con mini dress. Don’t get me wrong–I love Jem and I think the “Black Rock” actress, who was the guest of designer Olivier Rousteing, look really cool in the dress. The biggest fashion event of the year is finally here! The red carpet will be filled with all types of punk rock glam this Monday night for the 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala where your favorite heavy-hitters in fashion, music, film and television will mingle at the stylish fête. Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci will be hosting the VOGUE soirèe that has been officially themed “PUNK: Chaos to Couture” to honor the latest exhibition at the mueseum.

From Gwyneth to Beyonce–Karlie to Joan–and KStew to Rooney Mara–they’ll all be there, and I can’t wait to see who wears what. I certainly have my ideal favorites and predictions, which you’ll find below in my biggest wish list yet! | continue reading..

WEARING: Giambattista Valli dress, Casadei shoes, Rauwolf clutch and jewelry from Sylva & Cie & Janna Conner.

MY VERDICT: Many of the Vanity Fair Oscar celebration attendees opted for gowns while Kate chose to party the night away in a comfortable mini.  The “Black Rock” actress arrived wearing a long-sleeve pale silver lace embroidered dress from the Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 Haute Couture collection.  My favorite part of the feminine design would be the smattering of light pink rosette and petal appliqués that spray across the waistline.

Kate complimented the soft shimmering shades of the frock by slipping on a pair of champagne gold Casadei strappy sandals, and carrying a matching metallic Rauwolf clutch.

Taking inspiration from the fairytale feel of the dress to finished her look, Kate had her hair styled in a still-trendy ‘braided halo’ before completing with tiny diamond drop earrings and a bold raspberry-pink pout.

WEARING: Head-to-toe Calvin Klein Collection

MY VERDICT: I have to hand it to Kate, she picked the perfect opportunity to wear a fur sleeveless mock neck top and caramel leather pencil skirt.  I didn’t think I’d see this look on the red carpet as I figured it was a total editorial number, but the 30-year-old actress really rocked it at Sundance.  With white platform calf-length boots to match her belt and neck detail, Kate actually made me like it more on her than I did on the runway.  A shiny boxy clutch, diamond stud earrings, a perfect polished ponytail and stained rust red lips helped complete her cool streamlined premiere look.

WHERE & WHEN: Audi Kicks Off Golden Globes Week 2013 party at Cecconi’s Restaurant on January 6, 2013.
WEARING: Emilio Pucci Spring 2013 dress

MY VERDICT: TI like it when a celebrity comes across a dress that is so perfectly suited for them.  Kate Bosworth had that encounter when she slipped into this black cutaway long-sleeved Emilio Pucci cocktail dress.  As a party dress, it’s ideal–especially for the cooler months, despite the Spring 2013 collection it comes from.  For Kate, it was a great match for her shape; the lace, sheer fabric at the the neckline and arms played up the edginess of her style while balancing with a subtle all-over elegance.  When it comes to the cutout detail below the bust, I’m not so sure I like that she wore it filled it—but it didn’t hurt her look either.  Kate completed her look with soft golden curls, a black clutch and matching pumps.

It’s finally here!! The Target + Neiman Marcus Holiday Collection, complete with special pieces from 24 designers (from Band of Outsiders to Oscar de la Renta!), launched this morning at both shopping outlets and I couldn’t be more excited!

Seriously–some of the stuff is so cute, but don’t take my word for it visit Target.com and NeimanMarcus.com to see all they have to offer. A lot of sold out quickly—but fear not, many items are already set to be re-stocked.  At the official launch party, which was held on Wednesday night in New York City, celebrities like Kate Bosworth, Leighton Meester and Zoe Saldana came out to support—and SHOP!
