It was recently reveleaed that Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and her husband Prince William, Duke of Cambridge were expecting their first child. The royal couple, who wed in April of last year, let the news out after Kate was admitted to the hospital earlier this month for symptoms of a severe form of morning sickness. Thankfully the duchess looked healthy and in happy spirits on Monday night when she stepped out for her first appearance since the beginning of her rocky few weeks.

Kate looked radiant in a emerald green long-sleeve crepe Alexander McQueen dress when presented awards at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2012 ceremony. The perfectly structured deep v-neck slim silhouette featured tapered wrists, a center front slit and sweet small peplums on both sides of her hips. Not only was this dress gorgeous, the color looked amazing on her—and it was perfect for the holiday season!

She completed her look with minimal makeup, black platform suede pumps and a pair of diamond eternity drop earrings that matched her delicate pendant necklace.

What did you think of Kate’s dark green gown?

Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, joined her Royal family members yesterday in London for the Trooping the Colour ceremony and the Horse Guards Parade, held at Buckingham Palace.

Prince William’s beautiful bride wore an ice blue version of this draped open back, long-sleeve embroidered Erdem dress, which comes from the Resort 2012 collection and was originally presented with colorful embroidery on ivory.

I adore the style of the dress, and the way it perfectly matched her Jane Corbett cocktail hat, but I have to say that I think the color was a bit too light on her. We all know that Kate likes to keep a chic, demure appearance, but I much prefer her rich and bright dresses to a pale palette. | continue reading..
